At first it appeared to go well. Floor was completed and the told us the floor would last 10+ years and was "harder than concrete". A month later we moved kitchen appliances in and had to move a piece of equipment and the floor flaked off. They said that shouldn't have happened and then has been unresponsive since. Once he said he would have a crew out, but as of yet he hasn't returned calls or emails - and no crew that week showed up as mentioned. They do not stand behind their work and evidently it was not completed well to begin with. You can literally pull the epoxy flooring off the floor. This has not only caused an issue with the floor, but now all the equipment is in and nearing inspection and this will be an issue.

We have employed Chris (the owner and sole employee) of C J Painting and Services multiple times over the last six years to paint the interior and exterior of our home. He is professional, personable, reasonable and has a great work ethic. I will review our previous experiences in another review or two, since AL's prefers that the most recent experience be rated first. In this instance, we asked Chris to ready our home in Flagstaff for sale. He inspected the interior and touched up several areas that needed work, including an area that had recently had drywall work done. He also re-stained our back fence, which was exceptionally dry. When Chris paints a surface in the home, he ensures that the area is in good repair, removes hardware before painting and re-installs it afterwards, and does as many coats of primer and paint as necessary for good coverage and durability. His finish work is exceptional and he makes sure that the area where he worked is clean. Chris does the work as he would for his own home. We are very comfortable leaving Chris to do the work without our being home and that he has the security of our home in mind when he is there. Of all of the contractors that we have used in Flagstaff, C J Painting is one of the very best and we are happy to recommend him to anyone.

We had observed Chris painting the exteriors of other townhomes in our area, and noted that he spent several days on each place and came back multiple times for touch-up work and to ensure that everything continued to look as it should. As a result, we asked for his card and he came by for an estimate. He looked at all of our areas of concern (peeling paint, fading and rough woodwork), listened to our ideas about how to improve the look of the exterior, and discussed options with us. Since I have had some experience painting interiors, I had specific things I wanted addressed in the exterior. He agreed to follow my wishes, set an approximate date for the work and left. Over the next week or so, Chris dropped off a written estimate, and firmed up the window for the work itself. When the set date came close, he also called to confirm that he would be starting work. It took about four to five days for Chris to prep, repair, clean and paint the whole exterior. This was a big job, involving multiple storeys and two contrasting colors. All of the siding had to be re-nailed, lights and hardware had to be removed and much more before he could paint, and Chris did it all. He put at least four coats of paint on the main body of the home and at least three coats on the trim. Each surface looked better when he was finished that it had when it was new. Each day he arrived on time and finished when the task for the day was complete. When he finished, he cleaned carefully, re-installed hardware and made sure everything was perfect. I'm not exaggerating--he made sure it was perfect. Please note, the exterior painting cost in the neighborhood of $1500. The next job is what is referenced in the above information. Several months later, we re-hired Chris to paint the interior of our guest bath, most of the woodwork in our guest suite and touch-ups on the ceilings and in the hallway. As we had already come to expect, hiring Chris to do this work was worth the money. I had painted much of the interior of the home myself, and the work he did was far better. We again requested several colors and contrasting trim, which he was happy to work with. The entire job was completed to our satisfaction, on time, and according to the estimate. I have also reviewed the most recent work that Chris did for us. We appreciate the work he does and find him kind and professional. We are happy to recommend him for all kinds of painting work to anyone.

Excellent job and outstanding quality of work. House was completely ready when we moved in. Not the least expensive but if you are looking for the most professional company that will do the best job, this should be your first choice.
