Called mid morning and Jerry was at the house by noon. Repairs went well, he had all the parts he needed on the truck and was able to replace the worn parts, clean everything up and put it all back together in about an hour. The price was very reasonable and with the A-list coupon even a better deal. Can't think of a thing that would have made it any better. Definitely a company we'll use again for any appliance repairs. Highly satisfied!!!

Call returned promptly. Gave me some quick troubleshooting advice which resolved my problem over the phone. Could have soaked me for a visit for a simple repair but didn't. That is the kind of company you want to work with. I will call them any time I have an issue in the future.

Larry was actually early and had to wait on me to get home from work. He took the old one out, put the new one in and made sure that everything was working properly. Larry is very personable and definitely knew his plumbing, and told me if we had any problems to call him. I liked that he was responsive, did exactly what he said needed to be done, and gave us a great warranty on the water heater including labor. If we ever need plumbing work again, Larry will be the first one we call.

***Warning*** This company shares the same name as a reputable company in the valley. I needed the internal glass replaced on my over door. Also my ice machine on my Whirlpool was overflowing when filling and would leak all over the place. I asked my wife to send me the number of the company we used last time and she accidentally grabbed the contact information from this company because it shares the same name. It took us a while to figure this out because the experience we had was so different from before. The technician that came out on the service call was named ?Richard.? After explaining my problem with the ice machine, he determined I just need a new one. I am an office administrator so what do I know about these things. I thought it was odd he didn?t run any test on the unit except pulling the ice tray out. I agreed to that and he would get the quote for the glass and the new ice machine and call me. He called me to pick up the door to oven because he wanted to change the glass out in the shop. He started working on getting the door off and was just yanking on my oven door. There was a pretty obvious bracket with a screw in it securing the door to the unit. This was the first red flag and I wish I would have terminated the company right then. He had my door for a week before he called to have it reinstalled. The ice machine replacement was on backorder for three weeks and conveniently enough he had it at the same time he wanted to install the door. My wife seriously thought he stole the door and we would never hear from him again. We researched the process for replacement and this should have been completed on site. He reinstalled the door with no problem and then started working on the ice machine. After he pulls it out, he lines it up next to the new unit. My old unit is missing the white ice stripper on the top. He was getting ready to remove it from the new unit until I mentioned something. So he decided to call tech support to figure it out. He asked to use my personal phone to call 1-800 number. After tech support registered my address they started to troubleshoot the overflow problem. Richard did not know but I could hear the technician even though he was not on speakerphone because I had the volume cranked up. Anyways, the tech recommended adjusting the inflow value and Richard pretended that he could not hear the technician and walked outside to get better reception on my phone that has perfect reception in the house. He comes back in and says they recommend to go ahead and replace it and to install a flow valve. So he goes to the hardware store and installs this value under my sink. Then test the water dispenser to make sure it is flowing out at the correct rate. He then installed the new unit and took my payment and left. I gave the new ice maker 24 hours to start up but no luck so called Richard back about the problem. He then started to try to coach me through the phone on ways to fix it. I advised him that it would be better that he come and do this. So he shows up puts water into the unit manually and says give it another 24 hours. The water he put in did turn into ice and drop but that was it. So I began to research a way to pull the unit out because the water line could be frozen. I searched the model number and the overflow issues was three results down. The issue? The water inlet valve is malfunctioning. So I did not need a new icemaker and every fridge that has water dispenser has this water inlet valve. He installed a separate valve for no reason. I called him back to inform him of my continuing issues and the solution. I expressed my concern for paying for an unneeded ice maker and he tried to justify the unit replacement by the missing piece. He did not know the name of the piece or what it was for but it was the ice stripper and a new part is $20. He then said he will call tech support on Monday and asked me for the link for the problem. I am just going to lick my wounds and hire another company to fix the issues because no telling what this guy is going to do to my appliance and what he is going to charge me for. He charged me $450 for the oven glass and install. The glass cost $50. 88% markup labor included. He charged me $300 for the icemaker. Icemaker is $55 at most. 81% markup labor included. You also do not receive itemized receipt.

Our microwave stopped working. Talked to Jerry twice about repair vs. new. Because our unit was ten years old he said we would be better off in the long run buying a new unit. Affordable Appliance doesn't sell new appliances but he said with minimal handy man skills I could do the installation. He was right. With my minimal skills I traded out old for new in about an hour. They could have done a repair and made some money but they gave me good advice for free. It's not the first time they've done that and that is the reason we keep using and recommending them

It was excellent. He was professional and polite. He explained the problem and the solution. He was able to fix it and have it up and running within an hour. The room was left neat and clean and the food was put back into freezer. Very good experience and I would recommend this company to anyone. Carlos was our service tech and he was very good and professional.
Description of Work: My refrigerator stopped cooling last night. I called the company today and they came to my home after getting information on the type and brand of refrigerator. They arrived at my home 45 minutes after my first call with any part necessary. The worker emptied the freezer compartment and defrosted it. Then he installed the parts needed to fix the problem.

Description of Work: Called to have my Kenmore dryer repaired. "Bob" came out - was obviously distressed about something. First question was whether the dryer was electric or gas (he was standing over the dryer at the time). Tried to find cause of dryer not working and finally decided it was the circuit board. Said he's have to come back because he had another appointment. Later in the day, "Richard" called to say he'd be out in the morning (June 1). He was very prompt, arriving at 8 a.m. His diagnosis was that the timer was bad. Said he'd have to find the part and would get back to me. At the end of the day, having no word from him, I called to see when we could expect him to return with the part. Said he needed to find the part and would get back to me in the morning (June 2) with a price. Meanwhile, he wanted $70 for the service call, the check to be made out to him personally. (If I decided to have him make the repair, the $70 would be deducted from the repair cost.) Called back this morning to give me a price of $295 for the repair, less the $70. We checked on the price for the part, which is $100 retail from the appliance parts store - less for wholesale. We opted not to have the work done. Feel like we got nothing for our $70.

Agreed over the phone that the $90 service fee would be waived if the repairs were made. Upon finishing the diagnosis, the gentlemen demanded the $90 without being able to provide the cost of the repair. When asked about waiving the service fee if we agree to the repair, he insisted on collecting the service fee and then providing a repair price after returning to his office. After explaining that it was my understanding the fee would be waived if we agree to the repair, but that I couldn't agree to the repair without a price, he became hostile and threatened to call the police if I didn't pay the $90. I paid him the $90 in cash and will be calling another repair company to do the repair.

They knew what they were doing. I have no idea if the price was competitive or not, but they did everything very well. It wasn't an easy thing to fix but in the end I was satisfied with the way they repaired it.
