Our experience was dramatically different from other reviews. First of all it is hard to find ANY vendor willing to install built-in propane appliances. Answering the phone and not immediately saying "no" earns at least 3 stars. Hassan went well beyond that. He showed up at exactly the scheduled time, had the necessary trolley jack to do the installation as a one person job and most importantly was able to re-work the 40 year old fittings. Of course I wish all work was free but the $225 charge was less than half of the Angi quote for the same job and I was not charged extra for the fact it took 2 hours to complete what could have been a 1 hour job in the fantasy scenario where everything "just works."

The following day the new owner called, was very arrogant and condescending. He said that he had decided that we would need three (not two) new parts and the price would be $ 450. I pointed out that we had seen the most expensive board on the internet for $ 82 and he was asking $ 250. He became even more abusive. We told him we would be taking someone else. I regret that we did not check him out with this list (or the internet) before we wasted our money with him. This company has lost its previous good reputation since the new owner took over. I should also add that his accent is so strong that the owner is very hard to understand.

The next day they called and barely apologized and said I would have to reschedule another day. They suggested I contact another provider because they were too busy that day to come by to check out my washing machine. They told me they knew they're customer service was terrible. Here's the kicker.... They actually sent someone over about 5 hours later. The guy had the worst attitude ever. He was condescending and just mean. He spent 6 minutes at my house and wanted a check for $70.00. He told me the part had to be ordered. I didn't pay...and will never pay. I would not ever want that kind of person in my house again. Do not use this company. It was a miserable experience.

They made 7 visits, charged us for parts that clearly were not needed, and in the end were unable to fix the appliance. We had to hire another firm. New update on February 10, 2012 As of February 10, we have received partial reimbursement from Rose Appliance and are satisfied with the settlement.
