I wish I could leave ZERO Stars. I have never experienced such unprofessional, incompetent work and broken promises to "make it right," stated in front of an ROC inspector no less. I am still waiting after three weeks to hear anything from them about that! The issue started when 1st American Home Warranty assigned Professors of Plumbing (now known as Thomas Home Services) to take a look at an issue I was having with my AC unit. Once there, they determined the issue was really plumbing, not the unit itself. APS had sent me two Google Nest Thermostats which I had been waiting to install, but I was afraid my system was too old, so while he was there, I asked the tech, "Will this work with my system?" He took a look and said yes, it would work. I then asked if he could install it and again he said yes, although in the process, he seemed unclear and called to consult with someone several times before completing the job. This was in November. Great weather, so I'm not using heat or cooling until December when I try to turn on the heat. NOTHING. I call Thomas Home Services, but they claim they only warranty their work for 30 days, and I was literally a day past. So I called 1st American and they send out another group who tell me the thermostat has been installed wrong and may have damaged the system, but that the ones who installed it have to do the repair work. Great. Thomas Home Services has actually answered the phone exactly twice (and this is over the course of multiple encounters with them)--after me calling and leaving messages daily, sometimes more than once a day. They NEVER RETURNED A SINGLE MESSAGE I LEFT! So they came out and got the heater working. Then the hot weather came and when I tried to switch to AC--still heating! More unanswered phone calls, a complaint to the ROC and the conversation where the ROC inspector said that my system was too old to handle to Nest Thermostat. If THS had told me this in the first place, I would have avoided all of this and probably gotten a new AC through my home warranty! But because of their poor workmanship and refusal to take responsibility for that, I am out $6k. I still can't over the fact that the THS rep stood there in front of me and the ROC inspector and told me he would call me "tomorrow or Monday" to "make things right" no matter what the ROC ruled. ROC found an out for them because several other companies had looked at the thermostats, so held them not responsible, even though no one else did any work on them. Save your time and don't bother with complaining to them! But avoid this group at all costs! They failed to show up when the said they would, and when their worker didn't get to my house because another job took too long, instead of putting me on for the next day, I was put at the end of the line and scheduled for the next week! And I'm without heat in the coldest time of year! No apologies, just broken promises.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR PLUMBING ISSUES! We’ve been “working” with Thomas Home Services for about a month now after detecting a water leak in our kitchen. I filed a claim through my home mortgage for someone to come to inspect the issue and they assigned it to Thomas Home Services. They contacted me and scheduled a technician to come two weeks out; which isn’t ideal but I get with COVID and staffing it can cause delays. Then, the day of the appointment their rep called me and said the technician who was scheduled called out sick, again, frustrating but I get it and they were able to get someone out after a couple days. Well the technician came and said he couldn’t identify where the leak was coming from because our kitchen cabinets being in the way. But, that was all they stated. Never went into detail as to what that work actually is, and we only found out later through numerous calls that they needed the cabinets removed to perform a leak detection. So, now we had to call our Home Insurance and arrange for our cabinets to be removed. After a WEEK of back and forth between Thomas and our Insurnace company I was finally able to talk to another rep from Thomas after numerous messages from myself and the home insurance rep. The rep said I could only schedule a follow up appointment after kitchen cabinets we’re removed. But, I had to provide a date to the insurance company in order to schedule the cabinet removal. I was finally given a date and thought this issue would be resolved. NOPE! Two days after scheduling the follow up appointment, and having our kitchen cabinets removed and sink disabled, I get an alert from our home mortgage company that Thomas Home Services DROPPED our appointment! They did this without notice and without explanation. Again, we’ve already had our kitchen torn apart to accommodate them and perform the service. After another day of silence I was able to get ahold of another rep who explained that they were never staffed to take on work from the home mortgage company and it was too much. So why would they accept jobs to begin with?!?!? Now we’re starting back at square one with a new plumbing company and without a functioning kitchen all because Thomas Home Services could not follow through with their commitments. I will NEVER use this company again and I highly discourage anyone from using this sub-par, unorganized, and unprofessional company too.

The install went very poorly. They had to install different equipment than they originally quoted me. They originally quoted 2.5 ton 2-stage equipment, but they do not manufacture 2-stage equipment in half tonnage so they later had to install 1 stage equipment. The install was done very poorly. After arguing with them and having them make some changes I eventually gave up and had another company re-install the system when they installed our downstairs system. We experienced better efficiency now that the system was re-installed correctly. I wouldn't hire this company to do any job. Working with them ended up being a nightmare and the worst experience I have had with any company in my life as a home owner.

I was not able to get hot water from my kitchen faucet in the home I just bought. It took the plumber a long time to diagnose. He said there was a kink in one of the lines that he fixed, but that wasn't causing the problem. Turns out, once he left the faucet running in the cold position for a very long time, the water eventually got hot. The hot and cold were reversed! But, he said the job ran so long that I would need to pay more to get it fixed. I thought that was unreasonable (scammy?). I said no. So, basically, I paid $119.70 just for the diagnosis! A year later I was still bothered by this transaction so I called the company. That employee no longer worked there. They felt I was unreasonable for taking so long to contact them. True. I wish I had grown a backbone sooner. They said if I removed my negative reviews, they would send someone out. I did. I called and told them. They never followed through. They never called me or sent someone out to take care of this. If I had a business and knew that a customer felt they had been taken advantage of, I would rectify it. Apparently, they don't feel the same. I took too long to post this negative review, too.

The employees representing the company are very professional and timely. I felt safe having then in my home and will definitely use the company next time I have an issue.
Description of Work: I signed up for the company’s Dean’s List Membership, which includes a maintenance check on our air conditioning and plumbing. Both men arrived at my house in a timely manner and checked out our equipment. They provided suggestions and were able to fix a small issue on our AC unit immediately.

I purchased this Big Deal on Monday. Today I received an email from Angie, asking if Professors of Plumbing had contacted me yet. They had not, so I telephoned the Professors at 480-279-5511 480-279-5511 480-279-5511 480-279-5511. They told me they no longer support their Angie Big Deals anymore. I asked them to contact Angie and remove their Big Deals if they are no longer supported -- hopefully, you will hear from them soon. I am asking Angie here to please refund the $439 I paid for this Big Deal. Thank you. Call Send SMS Add to Skype You'll need Skype CreditFree via Skype

Tyler came a little early but his office called beforehand to make sure it was OK. With three bathroom sinks clogged, I was thrilled he came earlier. Tyler looks very young and probably is in his early twenties but he is the son of the owner and a fourth generation plumber. Tyler knew exactly what to do. He explored the issue and gave me an estimate. The estimate was fair compared to Roto Rooter, who wanted $225. Tyler was very thorough, tidy and professional. I was impressed that he cleaned up after himself and put all my bathroom stuff back. It was a good experience and I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Unclogged 3 bathroom sink drains.
