Everything went about as planned and once the actual installation was started, it was performed quickly and efficiently. The steel and faux-wood gates are attractive, well made and should last a long time.

Very smooth and professional. Rep came out, took measurements and reviewed options, including pictures. The rep clearly understood what was involved. He listened to our needs and provided options and prices. Worked up a quote real-time. We ordered the gate and an estimated time to deliver. The gate was ready about a week early, and after coordinating an install time, installation techs showed up and very efficiently removed the old gate and installed the new one. We are very happy with the entire process and definitely recommend Sunset Gates.

Basically, we needed a new gate since we were working on our yard and fences. My father had heard from his friend about Sunset gates and decided to give them a shot. Kyle from Sunset Gates was very polite and informative; I never had any problems and would absolutely hire again. Definitely recommend!

I was worried that this project would require me to take time off of work in order to get an estimate and for the installation. But Sunset Gates came out to my house while I was at work and measured the gate and immediately sent me an email with a quote for my review. Their website has pictures of all of the gate options and I was able to work back and forth through email to finalize the type of gate and options I wanted. The installation was done while I was at work as well. I was very nervous about how things would turn out without ever truly being face to face with anyone at Sunset Gates but I could not be more pleased. The quality of the gate is wonderful and the installation was done well. The people I spoke to on the phone were very friendly and professional. I recommend this company not only because of the quality of their work and their professionalism but also because they can be trusted to provide a quality product and installation even if you never meet them face to face.

Shawn, Sunset Gates' owner/operator, came to the house, took measurements and gave us a price. He clearly explained materials, pricing and how the gates are built. The purchase and installation went really well. We chose a Traditional Series gate, which looked very nice after it was installed and even better after I stained the cedar slats. Was tempted to go with the composite slats, which don't need staining or painting, but I like the look of real wood. Fyi: We opted for a self-closing spring, which works great. Bottom line: This iron-and-wood gate is sooo much better than our old gate, which was made of 2-by-4s and wood slats!

They did a good job -- very professional and gave us a discount for using Angie's List. They had to put up a pillar to support the gate. When they built the pillar, it seemed off line -- I understood why -- our property line is diagonal and it lined up with that. The owner came out to check on progress and, on his own, saw what I saw. He had them knock down and rebuild the pillar to make it line up better, at no extra charge to us. He took money out of his own pocket to make things right.

Based on my request to cut a section of existing block/iron fence to put in a gate, he was straightforward - that Sunset couldn't warranty their work if it's being retro-fit onto an existing fence. Makes sense and shows they have enough integrity to turn down work if it can't be guaranteed to last (if existing structures don't hold up). Overall, I'd consider them in the future and was disappointed I couldn't get a quote, but they did recommend a smaller operation who might be willing to do the work.

The wall held part of my RV gate and it was preventing my gate from closing properly. Their responsiveness and quality were amazing. They fixed everything quickly.

Sunset Gates was one of three companies that came out to give us a quote on a new RV gate. Their prices were competitive, but it was Shawn's thorough explanation of what would be best for us that made us go with them. Communication was seamless, and the work was completed on time, and it looks better than I could have imagined. We were so impressed that we ended up using Sunset Fence to build a back wall on our property with a gate to match our Rv gate. Highly reccomended!

Sunset Gates suggested a different vendor (Fabian) to handle my smaller job (creating and hanging several trash bin gates); this is the second time I have used this other subcontractor for work - excellent as far as professionalism, scope, and price. I will definitely use him again. Thanks.

Shawn drove out to provide the initial estimate. He was very professional, and took the time to ask lots of questions that we didn't think to ask, such as, do you want the gate to swing in or out, and would you like the latch mechanism to face the street, or the backyard? In summary, very professional. A 50% deposit was provided to get the process going. Shawn's estimated installation date was twenty days or so. They were able to beat that by at least 10 days. Another professional sign: Set expectations, then exceed them. Very nice. All of the above would be worth zilch of course if the gate sucked. It did not. Very nice materials, much better than the original gate provided by the home builder. The installer was quick and very professional. He took the time to explain how to adjust the spring if we ever needed to. He also removed all construction materials and remnants from the old gate. The entire process took about one hour. My choice of "B" for price is only because I did not get any other estimates, thus had no reference point other than what seemed a fair price to me. I have to admit that I've fallen into a process of relying on Angie's List to essentially do this sort of research for me. Sunset Gates was already highly rated on Angie's List, so I went for it.

Everything went extremely smoothly. You do want to measure the gate space so you can have a estimated price before you call Shawn. Also, they have a variety of gates online to choose from and different levels. The communication and service was excellent. We will use them again.

I was very impressed with Sunset Gates and would highly recommend them. In fact, I have already given a couple of my neighbors their business card! My courtyard gate is beautiful and Shawn, the owner, worked with me to customize it so that it is not only decorative but safe for my dogs. The gate was ready ahead of schedule and the install was quick, efficient and perfectly done. I thought the value was also very good for my gate.

From the first contact with Sunset I knew this was going to be a great experience. Since moving here from Calif 5 years ago my experience with contractors has not been great. This company is excellent - exceptional customer service, fair prices, honest advice, delivered ahead of commitment. Fast, efficient and the product exceeded expectations. My opinion is that if you do not use Sunset Gates you will be sorry. Do not go for the high priced gate people because you get the same product from Sunset at a fair price. Do Not go cheap because you get what you pay for. Again this is the best contractor I have engaged in the 5 years I have been in Phoenix. Just so you know I remodeled 3 homes in my 30 years in Calif and with the exception of Sunset I have yet to find a contractor in Phoenix to equal my California contractors.

From the initial phone call to the installation, every interaction with Shawn McPeters (the owner) and the installation staff was professional and helpful. Shawn took measurements for the gate and explained the differences in the various types of gates. He provided advice when needed and made the purchase quite easy. The installers were also very polite and cordial. They worked quickly and the gate exceeded my expectations. I wish I had purchased this gate sooner!

It went very well. There were no surprises. The gate looks fantastic. It is of very good quality. They were done on the date he said it would be. Very professional.

From the first meeting with Shaun it was a breeze. It is very apparent that this outfit has built a few gates:) Shaun was very helpful the entire way and met every timeline to the minute. His team arrived and got straight to work with a palatable sense of professionalism and Esprit décor. Craftsmanship such as was displayed with these guys is seldom seen these days. Their attention to every detail was glorious to watch as they removed the old gate and then installed the new one with a precision I'll likely not see again. The reveals (spaces all around the gate) are nearly exactly the same at every angle and the gate swings like it is on air. Workspace management was excellent and they left NO trace of their work behind. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs a gate or fence.

I would give them an A+. They were courteous, competent, there were no surprises they are just excellent. They had to manufacture the panels to fit the hole I had as far as the driveway gate.

Shawn McPeters provided a detailed explanation of work required to meet my needs and spelled it out in the written contract. The cost was very reasonable and met my expectations. The work was completed ahead of schedule and I am greatly pleased with the results. I plan on using Sunset gates for additional projects in the future.

Excellent! They were here on time did a fantastic job and were honest. The price I paid was very fair and have recommended them to my neighbors and friends. My neighbors used them to install new gates.

I called Sunset Gates on Sep 30th to see about them coming out to give me an estimate for some deck railing. I had to leave a message but Shawn called me back within a very short time period and told me he no longer installs deck railing and referred me to another company. I have called numerous other companies to get quotes and had several no call backs. I find it refreshing that Shawn took the time to call me back even though he could not perform the work I was looking for. This tells me Shawn cares about his work ethic and makes it a point to call people back. Even though I did not use Shawn for this project I would definitely call him back if I need fence or gate work!

Gates were ready a couple of days earlier than anticipated. Installer (Kyle) did a great job installing both gates. We are very pleased with the gates and installation.
