Sun Valley (SVSS) came in a close second place to another local company. Mark Green, the SVSS sales person, was very honest and straightforward. He was also very responsive to my many questions by taking calls after hours and returning email over the weekend. I believe if you're in the market for solar systems SVSS is a company worth evaluating and Mark will guide you to a good decision. Ultimately I chose another company because I slightly preferred their solar panels over SVSS panels but it was basically a coin flip.

Sun Valley Solar Solutions Is an excellent company to work with. After spending a year researching options and talking to friends and colleagues who had gone solar, I chose Sun Valley Solar because they have an A+ rating with Angie's List, and they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. My experience began with Mark Greene who sold me our system. He went out of his way to ensure that I got the most bang for my buck. We looked at several systems at my price point before I made the final choice. Mark Greene was wonderful, and if you decide to install solar panels, ask for him. Once I had chosen the system, Sun Valley then assigned someone to oversee the installation process. Isela Hernandez was easy to work with and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The installers were awesome. They were very professional; their work was meticulous, and they painted the infrastructure to match the roof and side of my house, so it would blend in. They were able to install them a month sooner than originally scheduled, and I was up and running as soon as APS installed the meter. I cannot say enough about this company. I have never had an easier, more efficient process. Every employee was kind, helpful and easy to work with. If you are thinking of installing solar panels, do yourself and favor and look no further.

OUTSTANDING! Professional, punctual, patient with educating me. I vetted 3 providers that were all BBB A rated and Angie's A rated with more than 10 reviews each. While any would have been a good choice, Sun Valley was the great choice. Budget friendly options and high performance options. only difficulty was with a manufacturer that stopped sending products to the US market in midst of our order process. Therefore I strongly recommend that you research the manufacturer as well as the local installer. Most equipment has a 25 year warranty but that is worthless if the manufacturer is out of business in 3 years. Choose carefully. My research indicates that SunPower is the most financially stable and is one of the few American made panels. You will get what you pay for, either now or 10 years from now when there is a warranty issue. Don't be scared by the price tag. After rebates and tax incentives, the net savings is significant both short and long term. My net cash flow improved by about 30% on electric costs as my loan payment plus tiny new APS bill is $100/month less than my old APS bill. After the loan is paid off, my benefit will be even greater.

I couldn't be more pleased....A bill that was once nearly 350 dollars/month is now less than a 1/3 of that....The system is working flawlessly and I am confident that if I had a problem, Russ and his staff would work to make sure it was fixed and fixed right. I was thoroughly impressed with his crew....Middle aged, background in electrical systems and all of the necessary aspects of a major solar project. These were not fly by night workers who you would be leery of having on your property....They were skilled and professional. and If there was an OUTSTANDING rating given for a solar company, this would be a company deserving of the rating.....There are many hurdles in getting solar installed, permits, working with SRP and their corporate structure and policies, and throughout, this company was right on top of things... It reminded me of some of the family businesses I am used to from my days in Northern Wisconsin and Oregon........Companies where people take pride in their work, charge a fair price and care about their work and the people who they are selling a product to....This company goes the extra mile..... Solar Energy is a risky industry. I know, because I am a communications consultant for a solar company overseas. The volatility of the market is such that companies come and go. The quality of product, installation and warranty support is matched by the need to find a solar supplier that will stand behind its installations. I researched many companiies in the area and chose Sun Valley Solar. I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, they impress. Our sales representative, AJ Saferstein, was incredibly knowledgeable and not there to simply "push product", as so many in the industry do. Instead, he sat down with us, discussed our goals, and recommended a system perfect for our needs. The engineer involved had our system designed very quickly. Project management, led by Rachel Anderson, was also first-rate. SV Solar managed the entire process - applying for Fountain Hills approval, interacting with our homeowners association, dealing with SRP. The steps involved took several months, due to the number of approvals and permits needed. We also needed the portion of the roof where our panels were placed repaired (due to the age of our home). SV Solar worked seamlessly with Cardinal roofing company to make this happen. (We also high recommend Cardinal Roofing - a family owned business with fair pricing and many years of experience.) Sun Valley Solar installers were incredibly professional - on-time, worked quickly but carefully, and left the work site spotless. The final step is commissioning, when the utility company and Sun Valley Solar work together to perform a final check and ensure that excess energy produced by our solar system will flow to the SRP network. (another benefit, since we receive full credit from SRP for excess energy our system produces that flows back to the grid.). Sun Valley Solar and SRP then "pulled the switch" officially turning on our new on-grid solar system. I was there - and I was excited to say the least. I highly recommend this company. Remember, solar energy is a minimum 25-year investment, so the company behind the system is as important as the components you decide upon. (insist on Tier 1 panels, by the way). Our Sunpower PV panels are warrantied for the full 25 years - we need a company that can front warranty work if and when needed. I'm confident Sun Valley Solar is here to stay and look forward to partnering with them for the long term as we help protect the environment, save cost, and add to the value of our home. (PS Other financial incentives: Remember, that the Federal Government provides a tax credit for 30% of the system cost, and rebates are also given by the state and the utility company. However, the law governing the Federal rebate expires in 2016 and who knows if the credit will be renewed, reduced, or eliminated altogether? Better to act now and save a hunk of your system cost.)

Everything was great, from selection to installation to the results. I am totally pleased. I have helped save our planet and saved money at the same time.

Sun Valley Solar Solutions is an amazing Arizona Solar Systems installer who installed two systems on our home in Gilbert, Arizona. Our first system was installed in 2010 with the second coming in 2012. We now have a net zero utility bill thanks to SVSS. The entire process was planned, included all the details we wanted, with regular updates communicated to us throughout the installation as needed. It was amazing how professional, seamless and quickly the whole process went on both installations. The SVSS team is as competent a group of professionals as I have ever had the privilege of working with. I would highly recommend SVSS to anyone considering a solar installation for their home or business.

I first contacted Sun Valley Solar Solutions in July of 2013. The company representative who visited us was Mark Greene. Mark was not just helpful and knowledgeable, he was genuinely friendly! We discussed all sorts of options from leasing to purchasing to different options for solar panels. He showed us how we could benefit most from available incentives and state and federal tax credits. Mark never pressured us or tried to talk us into anything. He just showed us our practical options and left us to consider what we wanted to do. My wife and I took a couple of days to think about it and do some research on SVSS. We decided to go forward with one of the purchase options and panel manufacturers Mark made us aware of. Then the process started with several other SVSS specialists visiting us to inspect the roof and lay out a design for the panels. SVSS helped us get a great low interest loan for the amount needed after the incentives and tax credits. The amount of the loan came to about $19,500. Everything was done right on schedule and everything represented and promised was exactly as SVSS told us it would be. Mark contacted us regularly via email and telephone to make sure all was going OK and if we had any concerns or questions. Everyone from SVSS that I had contact with was friendly, professional, and proficient at their particular specialty. The panels were commissioned in November 2013. There was a transition period involving meter changes from APS and I was not on the best billing plan for solar panels. Mark reviewed the bills from November and December with us and showed us a better billing plan. We contacted APS who changed us to the best billing plan for out panel setup. There was another meter switch so the next bill was a bit weird. We now are running with the best plan for our setup and we are saving at least 75% on our APS bill now. That was also what SVSS said the panels we chose would do. The process from start to finish is a few months but I believe it was well worth it. I just wish I had done it sooner. I would recommend Sun Valley Solar Solutions to anyone who is thinking about roof top solar. I would absolutely use this company again!

After operating for 30 minutes, the main inverter failed. It took another week for a new inverter to be installed. No one from Sun Valley Solar Solutions explained how to view information available on the inverter. The salesman never mentioned that solar monitoring via the computer was not included at the price we were paying. Literature and telephone conversations from the manufacturer indicated that monitoring is standard and when we inquired of Sun Valley Solar Solutions about the monitoring, they want another $1000 to include it. Negotiations with the company have been ineffective.

From the initial visit from Tom Lamme, the process was very smooth and communication was very good. Tom in particular was always available to answer my questions - don't recall how many actual quotes he gave me before we went ahead with the SunPower installation. Only hiccup was with a sub-contractor SVS used to install the mounting brackets. Since I was also re-roofing my house, the subcontractor needed to coordinate with our roofer. Our roofer was MORE than accommodating for this work, but this subcontractor did not like how this roofer was suggesting he proceed and took everything personally. Personally to a point where he was quite unprofessional and rude to me. I called SVS immediately after this subcontractor left (he did not perform the work - he said he couldn't) and told them I did not want him on my property again. SVS quickly scheduled their own in-house crew who were very professional, courteous and efficient. SVS should stick to using in-house employees. I only knock SVS slightly on this because my situation was atypical - trying to coordinate with roofer. SVS now knows about the behaviors of this sub-contractor. Everything else went smoothly - we are loving our 10KW SunPower system! I would recommend SVS (and I have already) to anyone - maybe insist on using SVS in-house installation crew for all roof work :)

I chose Sun Valley Solar because of the experience I had talking with Russ the CEO, 5 years ago. I had originally spoken with Russ when Sun Valley Solar was new and hungry. I was impressed with his passion, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm about solar. I was not in a financial place to invest then, but this year I was able to financially leverage solar and signed up to install a 13 .08 kW system. The effort was only feasible if the system was fully installed this year. I explained to the sales rep time was of the essence. I was told by the sales team installation this year was feasible. In fact, three months was the longest expected time. I was happy to hear that. My own experience so far with Sun Valley Solar has not matched the enthusiasm previously portrayed. Some reasons for my concern: Requests for a timeline, and what to expect were consistently disregarded. Our endeavor started on July 1st, 2013 The installation was not completed until January 15th 2014. Finalization of a Project Manager was almost two months after signing the agreement, during which time there was no communication. Requests for a timeline, and what to expect were consistently disregarded. I had to initiate most points of contact for updates, each after long periods of no communication. Follow-up with ED3 by SVS was inconsistent. I was informed my application had been sitting on ED3?s desk for over a month with no follow-up. The installation resulted in a leaking roof, causing water damage to my kitchen ceiling. Fixing the ceiling has not been completed to date. The damage to the kitchen ceiling has become a daily reminder of the frustration I have felt in this effort. I eventually contacted the CEO directly and he was responsive. He got his repair team to come to the house and look at the issue with the roof. However the follow-through did not happen. The repair team was waiting for approval from Sun Valley Solar. I again had to contact the company after two weeks to get the final steps completed. The fix is set for this week January 23rd. I am a big proponent of residential solar, and have been campaigning in regards to protecting the financial feasibility of residential solar with the corporation commission (I am not happy we gave an inch). I will continue to do so. This experience has made me sad as I know Solar is a huge opportunity for Arizonans, and such an experience would dissuade me from encouraging others. Indeed, I was hoping to champion Sun Valley Solar to others, but because of my experience, I lament I do not feel comfortable in referring others to Sun Valley Solar.

We were very impressed with this company: they were knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. The quotes were within range, and they even offer loans if you want to lower your upfront cost. And besides, without doubt, they work with the most efficient panels on the market. Thank you Mark !

I signed up with them for solar a year and half ago. Been great! Did good job installing the panels and working through the changes needed.

The best experience we have ever had with a company- hands down! Every employee from the receptionist salesman to the electrician were so professional and thorough. We love our solar!

I was, in fact, in the process of hiring Sun Valley to install my solar system -- had not decided whether to lease or finance the system. Up until the actual day when I was to make the commitment, I only had high praise for my rep and the service I received. On a Thursday, however, I received a call that they would no longer be offering a SunPower lease on solar panels after the next day -- Friday -- so I needed to make my decision immediately (I don't believe this was a ruse to get me to commit -- I sincerely believe they were being honest with me). I spoke with my rep on the phone on Friday morning and told him I was definitely going with his company and would make my decision about leasing or purchasing that day. He assured me on the phone that he'd be back in the office in plenty of time to get my lease started, if that was my decision. I e-mailed him at Noon that day (Friday) that I would be going with the SunPower lease and asked him to be sure to put in my application before the deadline. Well, he dropped the ball -- my lease application did not go in on time, and I was therefore unable to get the product and service I had wanted. I can't tell you how disappointing this was to me. My Sun Valley rep then tried very hard to persuade me to finance-purchase a system -- but my tax guy had advised me not to take on additional debt for various reasons. I felt I was being pressured to purchase a system at that point -- and it didn't make me happy. I've decided to go with a different provider for my solar.

Everyone from start to finish was professional. Quality material and workmanship. Only issue was delay in installation due to lock of lease finding.

Outstanding. The salesman set accurate expectations, the work started on time, completed on time, they handled everything and the system was turned on without a glitch. They did an amazing job, and obviously taken a lot pride in their work. I would recommend them, and have to all my co-workers who are interested in solar power. These 19 dollar electric bills for my meter are simply a joy to see, compare to the hundreds it use to be.

My experience with Sun Valley Solar was not good. The initial estimate was reasonable, though on the high side (higher than the next two) and they didn't mention pre-paid leases, which is really the way to go, in my opinion, with residential solar. But really the problem was around the work they wanted me to do before they installed the array. The salesman pushed me hard to install a new roof before the panels went up, even though I told him I had an inspector tell me the roof had at least 7 years of life left. Then he and an engineer who inspected my house assured me that I needed a new fuse box (after a very brief inspection), which would cost me approximately $3000. After talking to two more solar companies and an electrician, there is no need for a new fuse box. I don't know what the game was, but these guys were trying to get me to do costly, unnecessary work, both on the roof and electrical panel. As an update, contrary to the response from Sun Valley Solar, my system passed inspection and is up and running. I didn't need a new fuse box. They were wrong!

Sun Valley was great to work with on this project. They handled all the communication with the county, SRP and the HOA. The work they did was flawless. They were on time, professional, and very careful to make sure all holes were sealed, and everything was as good as it could possibly be. The exceeded our expectations in the quality of the install, and the quality of the array has been proven in the 2+ years it has been up and running.

SVSS had excellent communication and handled all of the details, from getting the HOA approval, the county permit, and everything else involved, including making sure we had all the paperwork to get the state and federal credits. They worked with us in picking the perfect system and their installation team was very careful, and very thorough. We were impressed by their professionalism and with the quality of the install overall.

We cannot say enough about the folks at Sun Valley Solar Solutions. From our initial contact with their sales representative Tom Lammie and their Green Co-Ordinator Kim Hill, to follow up conversations with the owners themselves and visits by both to our home and then the final installation and cut-over of our whole home solar system these folks were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all of our questions and addressing any concerns we may have had. All of the work on our home and the system was done by employees of Sun Valley Solar Solutions, nothing was farmed out and all workers had the necessary training and expertise to perform their required part in our installation. Their crews were always on time, always very courteous, and always friendly in their demeanor and they always left our job site cleaner than when they first got there. They are indeed experts in the field and can and will design a system that will be created for your individual situation. They do not try and sell you a cookie cutter system. They can also provide numerous options with regard to equipment and facets within the system. They work with and for you throughout the entire process and take the time to understand what the homeowner/buyer wants and is trying to accomplish with their system.
