We originally used Painted Valley Grout about 4 years ago when we had our kitchen remodeled to completely clean and seal our floors. Not only did they do a wonderful job, but Shannon, one of the owners, discovered that the grout color that a previous company had applied in places was wrong. She did some investigating and found the proper color, reapplied the color all over and the results were beautiful. I appreciated that she went above and beyond to find the appropriate color grout for our floors.
We had them come back a few months ago this year (2013). They completely power washed our outdoor patio and
cool deck one day, and on a different day they came in to touch up our floors. On this occasion we also had them seal our kitchen granite and tile backsplash. We had let the granite go too long between sealings, and they did a fabulous job buffing and polishing it, making it look new again. They are very pleasant and professional and do a great job. I highly recommend them!

Painted Valley did an outstanding job.  We had a full house of ceramic tile that had not been cleaned for many years before we purchased the home this year.  Grout was missing, cracked, discolored, stained.  The tile was as clean as I could get it with manual methods and steam cleaners but was still dingy and dirty.  After Shannon and her husband and crew finished (in one day) my tile looked brand new, the grout was repaired, stained and sealed.  I cannot say enough about the quality of their work.  My floors look absolutely beautiful and no one would ever guess this tile is almost 13 years old.
Their pricing is fair and accurate ... their professionalism is outstanding ... their work is exceptional.
They are on my permanent vendor list for sure and I recommend them without hesitation and will use them again in the future when the need arises.

We have been using Painted Valley Grout almost since their inception (at least for the past 10 years). Having just obtained our Angie's List membership we wanted to compliment and recommend Painted Valley for the outstanding work they did on our floors, counters, and shower. Because of the level of professionalism Wayne and Shannon have exhibited and the quality of their work, we have recommended them to countless other family members, friends, and neighbors. Everyone has been amazed at their ability to take badly stained, dis-colored, and dirty tile and grout to practically like new condition.
Their inital suggestion upon purchasing new or resale homes to have our grout cleaned then immediately color-sealed to both enhance the appearance of the tile and protect the grout has been a huge money saver over the years. Once the grout is sealed, all stains and dirt can easily be steam cleaned again to make our floors appear newly installed.
They are consistently efficient and thorough from providing estimates, to scheduling, meeting their timeline, and most importantly leaving our floors looking amazing. We now make a point to schedule both carpet and tile cleanings with Painted Valley every 18-24 months because we feel nothing enhances and makes our home feel as clean and new after cleaning.
The honestly, integrity, and attention to detail make using Painted Valley is extremely refreshing.  We've dealt with and utilized many contractors over the years that have set and failed to meet expectations and quite simply don't seem to care about obtaining future business.  So Painted Valley Grout is truly a company you will be impressed with and enjoy referring to other families.

"Dear Angie's List Member, Thank you for again choosing Painted Valley Grout to work in your home. It truly has been a pleasure working for your family. Repeat customers are what keeps us growing each year. After twelve years, Wayne and know that your standards are high and so it is particularly gratifying that you continue to trust us with your home. Also, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We realize your time is valuable and limited, so we appreciate you doing it."

I had to cancel and reschedule.  They were fine with that.  They were on time on new date.  They did a good job and were quick and cleaned up after.  A couple of days later I noticed a ding in the grout in front of my shower door.  I was worried that water would get in it and do something to the grout.   This is where things went downhill.  I called and left a message.  No call back.  I called again and talked with Sharon.  She was very defensive and said they did not do it.  They could not come by because they were not in the area and they lived far away from me.   I asked what to do and she said put a towel over it.   I called again and this time got Wayne.  He said he was working and would call me back.  It never happened.  The ding is small but the rest of their work was so nice I thought they would want all of it to look the same.  I am disappointed in the way I was treated.  I do not appreciate being talked to that way and insinuations that I made the ding.  It appears to be a bubble or brush over that dried and popped.    I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
Response from PV Interiors Tile and Travertine Cleaning
"Dear Angie's List Member, Thank you for choosing us and thank you for the kind words related to the job. We apologize for our inability to respond to your request for additional service quickly enough. We are also sorry if you feel you were treated unfairly. While we are sure this was a misunderstanding, we strive to treat all of our clients and potential clients with the utmost respect and apologize for this. Painted Valley Grout is an owner operated business, which means we are out there doing our own work everyday. I say this for two reasons. Firstly, the frustration you might sense in us isn't necessarily a result of your call, but due to circumstances totally unrelated. Lastly, the fact that we perform our own work limits our flexibility. While we would like to respond to all requests immediately, it is just not possible. We don't have a "technician" to whom we can assign these tasks...it is always us. Had this been an urgent matter, I would have made special arrangements to get there immediately. This was not an urgent matter and I (Wayne) attempted to convey that to you when we spoke. The hole in the grout measured no more than 1/16 inch by 1/4 inch. Also, I believe I stated that I would call the moment I knew that I had a job in that area and make arrangements to perform the additional work free of charge, it had only been one week since your job was completed. I apologize if you feel I ignored your request or didn't get to it quickly enough. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work in your home and for having us back to fix the hole."

We got a call immediately after requesting a quote. Shannon talked me through the various options and came out to the house to confrm measurements. Her team arrived on time and did a great job. The tiles and grout are brightened up and it looks really great.  We had been given an estimate by COIT for the exact same services and their estimate was 2x what we paid Painted valley.
I would definately recommend them and will likely use them for a tile installation job we have in the near future based on our experience to date.

Excellent Experience:  This husband/wife dynamic duo is everything you would look for in providing services to your house or business.
2Honest, Professional & always on time.  After having 2 other bids with regards to the staining of our grout... I'm so happy that I had a 3rd and final bid with this company (Painted Valley Grout).  Better pricing, paid more attention to the concerns of both me & my wife as well as a joy to have in our home with respect to how they handled the careful moving of both furniture & delicate cabinets loaded with fragile glass & ceramics.  Always a smile & most importantly... excellent work with beautiful results.  In fact - While they were finishing up at my house, I was so impressed with the outcome that I had several neighbors take a look 2 of which requested they stop over afterwards to provide them with bids (as they too were quite impressed).  Next month I am going to have them stain the grout in my office.  I have never posted a review of any workers in the past but... I was so please with their results & work ethic, I simply wanted others to know.   Shannon/Wayne.... Thanks again - Dr. Michael Shaikewitz.
PS:  After doing my due diligence (research)... I came to realize that simply re-grouting would not only be messy but I'd be back in the same old pattern of watching, as the porous grout over time would once again simply absorb the dust/dirt as the wife would damp mop our ceramic tile floors.  But... by having an acrylic colored stain applied (stain any color you want) that keeps its color and beauty for the next 10-15 years, it was a no brainer.         Shannon/Wayne... Thanks again for everything.   -  Dr. Michael Shaikewitz

They showed up on time both days and were very friendly.
I changed my mind on the grout stain/sealer I first selected. On the day of the job they took the time to help me go through the colors again and find the right one. I am very pleased with what we ended up going with.
Our tile is so clean now, it looks like we had new flooring put in. The lighter grout stain/sealer is wonderful and makes such a huge difference. Before we had out tile cleaned you first noticed the dark and dirty grout lines. Now that the tile is cleaned and the grout lines are color sealed our tile stands out and the grout lines blend in with the tile.  Huge difference and I love my tile now.

I contacted PV interiors and was given a time for an estimate.  They came out for the estimate on time and with plenty of knowledge about our tile and grout issues.  I had them come out to do the job in Aug.  Each person was friendly and I really appreciated the promptness!  The work was done within the time frame that they had estimated.  The only issue I had was they turned down our thermostat without talking to me about it.  I discovered it a few hours after they had left when I realized I was getting too cold and checked on it.  Not a big deal.  Aug. is a hot month and they were working hard!

OMG, where do I begin!!. Spring of this yr we  called for an estimate; the owners  came out promptly.  The estimate was very good, all handled professionally. We kept in touch by email, as the project was put off until now, after a home painting project was nearly done.
Owners came out Wed as scheduled.  The tile/grout was cleaned in two hours, and the 20 year old flooring looked like new!!!The work was flawless, clean up impeccable. On Friday, owners  returned to hand stain/seal the grout to update the color and preserve the grout. The job took about 4 hours. The tile and grout looks brand new!!! The owners took the time to help determine the best stain color for the project.
We can't get over the floor!!  We called our neighbors over, and already gave out your name and number to them. Great job guys, we'll be calling you back!.

They arrived on time, performed their work with an eye on attention to detail, and made a formerly ugly, stained, dilapidated tile floor look like new.  Their professionalism, ability and concern for exceeding my needs made working with them a treat.  I will definitely use them again and have already recommended them to friends.

I live in another state and my initial contact with Painted Valley Grout was through email.  They were immediately responsive and  understood my situation - new owner of a previously-owned condo, live several states away, short time frame to meet with them and have the work done.  I knew it would be a costly job (to me) and was very concerned with the quality of the work, which is why I joined Angie's List in the first place.
I couldn't be happier with PV or the workmanship!  They were always prompt, friendly, courteous, trustworthy, easy to deal with, kept me informed of their schedule and progress, and suggested a vendor for other work that I need to have done that is out of their field. The floors and the tile baseboards look wonderful and have certainly enhanced the appearance of my condo already.  I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.
They also clean carpet and I will certainly call them when I need that service.
You can tell that Shannon and Wayne are not only interested in the customer being satisfied/happy with the result, but that they too have very high standards.
This experience turned out exactly as I had hoped when I joined Angie's List and I feel that the membership fee has already paid for itself.  Thank you Shannon and Wayne!

PV Interiors are a "do it all" contractor. The people providing the quote are also the same ones doing the work! I contacted this company based on the reviews at Angie's List and have no regrets making the decision to have them perform the work. I called and left a voice mail message, which was promptly returned. I described the scope of work regarding our travertine and Wayne scheduled an appointment with me so an accurate quote could be provided. Since they are in Chandler and I live in Scottsdale, I said just swing on by when you are in the area. After checking his calendar, we meet about a week later to assess our flooring. The appointment was confirmed a couple of days before  as well as 1/2 hour the day of saying they were on their way. Wayne and his wife, Shannon showed up on time and were pleasant to deal with. I showed them around, they took measurements of all the spaces that needed care. All questions were answered and further concerns were addressed via phone after they left. The estimate took a few days, but my husband and I were in no real rush to the get work completed. Wayne scheduled the removal and replacement of cracked tiles the week prior to the clean and polish. It was a noisy and dusty job, but all the tile waste was removed and I can't say I miss seeing those cracked tiles anymore, so worth it. Wayne showed up the following week on Monday morning as scheduled with one of his employees. They began working by removing large pieces of furniture while I helped with the smaller stuff or knick knacks. I feel we don't have a lot of clutter and excessive pieces of furniture so moving things to perform the work wasn't too time consuming for them. They also worked room by room (area) which was great considering it is summer, kids are home from school and gave me a chance to stick around the house and not feel I had to check out for the week. They were here approximately 8-9 hours each day and I can honestly say rarely took a break from working even for lunch! If my husband or I had any questions, they were answered. Additionally, Wayne had re-polished a couple of areas because he felt they weren't up to par for his standards, which is refreshing to see in a contractor these days. Unfortunately, it seems harder to find someone willing to perform quality work and put their name on that project, so to see that pride materialize without asking is what any customer would want and expect. Shannon did a wonderful job of color sealing our grout and it looks so much better than had we not chosen this additional service. It is quite tedious to complete since she has to be at floor level, so it was understandable that she wore knees pads while applying the color seal. I was told this will also be easier to clean since dust and colored beverages can not penetrate the seal unlike grout alone. Any large furniture that was removed was put back after the clear seal was dry. Wayne even borrowed my vacuum and vacuumed up dust that accumulated on our great room rug. Caulk was applied to some base boards to finish off the newly polished travertine as well as some smaller holes. They left us with some caulk and some color seal for future use. Overall, completely satisfied with the work performed. They take pride in their work and don't feel the need to leave until the customer is satisfied; very professional and I felt comfortable working with them the whole time.  The also offered to come back if we found they missed a spot or had other excessive holes. They are a great company and I'm glad that our family chose them over the other bid we had. The floor looks beautiful and probably the best it has ever looked!

"Thank you Member for the raving review! We certainly appreciate it and thoroughly enjoyed working with you and your family! You were an absolute pleasure to work for and one of the most kind and considerate customers we have ever had. I was kind of sad the job was over because after 8-9 hours a day for a whole week of being at your house I felt like we had become friends :) Anyway, I'm so glad you are happy with your floors :) If there is anything you need please do not hesitate to give us a call!"

I thought the 18" porcelain tiles in our new fixer-upper might be gorgeous underneath the dirt and grim, but I wasn't certain. In the main walkway areas the grout was the color of Hersey's chocolate. In the corners it was a light beige.
I crossed my fingers and called Wayne and Shannon at Painted Valley Grout, which is a family business. They were willing to come out and give me an estimate, however, after reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List, I simply emailed him a picture of our tile. He asked exactly what I wanted done. Since I knew very little about tile, I told him I wanted my tile to look amazing!
We have about 1,000 square feet. He told me it would be about $350 to clean it. We discussed sealing with a clear coat, and he actually talked me out of it. He said often it wears unevenly.(Wow,a professional who didn't try to talk me into more, but actually recommended less!) Wayne arrived promptly and went to work. I even asked that they clean behind the refrigerator, washer, etc.We made sure to have everything already moved so they could just get right to work. Everything went smoothly. I was stunned when I came home because the whole house looked clean and bright. It has made such a difference!
While Wayne was here, we asked for estimates on other tile work. He gave us a quote to replace a chipped tile in the kitchen ($50), regrout the bathroom shower ($500), and seal the grout ($800, which is a bit more because we have stone boarders). It felt expensive, but Painted Valley Grout offered the most reasonable price we found.
We decided to have Wayne replace the kitchen tile. (Although initially, my husband wanted to do it, I reminded him of all the other projects we have going on with the house). Wayne came out on a second day to complete the tile replacement job. The replaced tile matches perfectly. In fact, I can't tell it apart from the others! Although both my husband and I are fairly skilled at DIY projects, I am so glad that we did not attempt this ourselves because it looks amazing!
I have already recommended them to several people. It is such a pleasure to work with professionals who do a great job. Wayne and Shannon seem like nice, hard working people who give it their all! I'm very impressed with all aspect of the project!
I decided that I also wanted to seal the grout because we are going to paint the entire house. Wayne explained that the tile had to be completely dried, so he came out a third time to perform this service. Although the grout looked so much better after they had cleaned it, I wanted to make certain that it was uniform throughout the house. Wayne also explained it would help keep the tile looking cleaner and would last for approximately ten years. I came home and it felt like my house had new tile. It is utterly beautiful! We are very pleased with the results! In fact, I have already recommended them to several people.
