Highly recommended, their tech came out on time and gave a good explanation of what needed to be done. The office followed up quickly with a quote. The work was performed as scheduled, very happy with working with them.

Porter Roofing redid our roof two years ago. They were efficient, and easy to work with. Recently, with all the rain, we had some water dripping down through the top of a first floor window. Usually, this would mean a roof leak, so we called Porter to come out and fix it. First go, the guys were nice, but didn't get it fixed. Fast forward two weeks to more rain and more dripping. This time the owner himself comes out with his guys. He quickly identifies that it's not the roof, it's the seal around a different window on the second floor that's allowing the water in. They do a water test to confirm it, and then caulk and seal it for us. Thanks for the great service, guys! We sure appreciate it!

The repair was done well and on schedule. This was the 2nd time I used Porter the first was to resurface a patio roof that was leaking. The 2nd time was to fix a roof leak that was dripping onto the garage ceiling. Issue was poor workmanship from the builder not installing flashing simply filling in an area with roofing tar. The fix required more work than I expected and actually expected Porter to come back stating the cost increased. They did not. I paid what I was quoted. Very pleased with both service calls.

Not very well. We still have a hole in our roof. Fortunately, it's not raining.

Crew was very good, they cleaned up and were careful not to drop nails or other debris potentially harmful to my horse. The supervisor JR was responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, shortly after installation, the foam roof developed a myriad of cracks and needed to be fully replaced, due to a defect in the manufacturer's product that was sprayed on. Porter Roofing promptly sent out an inspector, and agreed to replace the roof at no cost to us. Only inconvenience was having to go through the noise and mess again, but JR did his best to minimize that.

Crew did a really nice job working across sections of the roof and cleaning up as they went. Really good attention to the details around the flashings

From the start, Porter Roofing was very responsive and explained everything in detail. JR, the main rep I worked with, has been in the roofing industry for over 20 years and knows it all. He made sure I was happy with the work that was completed and did not cut any corners. They were very respectful of the neighbors and any mess that was created. When they were done with their work it didn't even look like they were working on the roof--they left it that clean! Dennis Porter, the owner, was also very personable and explained how the insurance coverage and payments would work. He was awesome! Now I have a beautiful, hail-free roof. I highly recommend Porter Roofing.

Overall the job was done well, but the installers were not very professional. First thing they did was camp out on the front lawn with latin music blaring, disturbing my neighbors. This was really the only negative thing.

No one ever answers phone or emails. I would have to leave messages. Requested estimates for total roof replacement on primary and secondary residences. We got a call back within 24 hours to schedule the site visits. They were scheduled about a week later. We were told that we didn't need to be home. Randy came out on the day scheduled and emailed two estimates of $200 each for minor repairs instead of full replacement. We called and left a message as no one answers the phone including Randy's cell. Didn't hear back so I sent an email stating the problem but got no response. Hard to imagine a roofing company passing on a chance for an$18-20k job. All it takes is human communication, which does not appear to be Porter's strong suit.

We had storm damage covered by insurance. The insurance adjuster came out and gave us an evaluation. We called Porter Roofing based on other work we had done about 2 years ago. Sure enough, same as the previous time we hired them, they went up, inspected the roof and came back with the exact same report as the inspector without knowing that anyone had inspected it. Sounds pretty simple but you'd be surprised how unusual this honesty is in the roofing business where most homeowners cannot go up on the roof to check things out for themselves. About 2 years ago, we realized our dad's house was leaking because of water stains on the ceiling. We called 3 roofing companies. Two of them had exorbitant quotes - one said the whole roof had to be replaced and the other said that just half the roof had to be replaced. Porter said there were cracked tiles and flashing issues but that the underlayment for the roof was really good 40lb felt and that it was still just fine despite the age of the roof. We had them do the work 2 years ago for about $600 which included replacing missing and/or cracked roof tiles with new ones (matching the color by swapping tiles from less visible locations for the new tiles), repairing felt as needed, installing 3 new covers for existing roof pipes where they were missing, sealing down the metal flashing on all pipes and painting a few unpainted pipes to match the roof color & cleaning up all debris and hauling it away. Over the past two years and two experiences with they we found them to be scrupulously honest and competent -- a rare combination! Would highly recommend.

Went just fine. I went to work and when I came home it was finished and looked great.

Crew was courteous and efficient. Price was very favorable. Since it has not rained much since the repair, I cannot comment on how effective the repair was. Fingers crossed.

Promptly scheduled an estimate and showed up at the appointed time. Estimator (Randy) spent time going over the details of materials and process for the replacement. The work was scheduled within the window of time we expected. The work crew showed up on time on the day the work was schedule to begin. The crew was friendly and very hard working. The job took 5 days. The crew cleaned up each day before leaving and walked around the house to be see if we saw anything missed when the work was completed. They were very accommodating addressing any issue we asked. Overall they did an outstanding job.

Replaced roof, re-using existing unbroken tiles and replacing broken ones. Job was well done. They were efficient and very neat, cleaning up before they left every day.

A few years ago I noticed that some trim on my house had water damage which meant that my tile roof wasn't working correctly. I called three roofers (one of them has a Saturday morning AM radio show). Two said that the tile had to be removed and the underlayment replaced and then the tiles put back on. Porter came out and said that the valley that was originally installed wasn't up to the task of our infrequent but heavy rains. He suggested re-doing the valley and that's what we did. Problem solved. Last year I noticed some discoloring on my kitchen ceiling (uh-oh!). I called one other roofer and Porter. The other roofer said he'd have to remove the tiles, replace the underlayment and re-install the tiles. Porter said the flashing around a skylight was the problem and should be re-done. A crew came out within a few days and fixed that problem but noticed another problem while they were up there and just went ahead and fixed it - no charge. Good, honest company that doesn't try to upsell you.

They did great, as always is the case. Dennis came out and inspected my roof and found one broken tile (from a golf ball). He spent 25 or so minutes upon the roof inspecting it and he replaced the one broken tile and refused any payment for doing so. I have used Porter for my roof inspections and all repair work for a few years now, and I couldn't be happier with their work. I have also recommended them to other friends and they also were very happy too.

All went well except Porter roofing re-installed the rotting fascia board when they said all rotted wood would be replaced (during the quoting process). When they called for payment I said I would not pay until they replaced the rotting fascia board. They came out the next day and replaced it. They were professional during the quoting process and even when I said I would not pay the woman on the phone was professional. I never met the actual repair person doing the work because I was at work;however, they promptly fixed their mistake. As for price.....I got a quote from an un-licensed handyman off C----gslist, and Porter roofing was $50 less and insured.

They fixed a leak that another handyman had attempted to fix. Showed up with 4 guys, removed the clay shingles, replaced tar paper, put the shingles back. Done 4 hrs later. Big rain 2 weeks later & all is dry. This came with a 2 yr warranty.

They were very thorough with their attention to detail and did a very good job.

Although I did not meet Dennis, personally, my home inspector and the homeowner did meet him and both had only good things to say about his professionalism. No work is requested on the roof at this time per the buyers. I would use Dennis again for inspections and repairs/replacements. Great office person, too. I haven't seen a bill for the inspection yet; therefore, no cost of service given.

Assurance and trustworthy are two words that comes to my mind. A year ago Mr randy came to my home to evaluate my roof. Instead of telling me to replace the whole roof like the other 2 roofing companies does. Randy pin point what needed to be fixed for 800 dollars instead of thousands of replacing the roof. The team came and fixed my roof. A year later there were some left over patches and they keep their word on their Warranty and send their team over Again to re fix some of the left over!

Last year, Randy did give us a quote for repairs and guaranteed that they would install storm collars after completing repairs. Last year, the workers arrived and seemed unaware of the work that was needed - left without installing storm collars. When Randy was contacted he assured us that storm collars were installed 'since all workers had storm collars in their vehicle. He finally came out to check and found NO storm collars installed - he had to install them. We felt he should get a second chance. We called him AGAIN-for a second chance a year later. We asked that they give us a quote for repair to our roof. We called early in January, waited 2 weeks for them to come, canceling other appointments to be available for them. When they didn't show up at the scheduled time I called. They, by their own admission, went to the wrong address, the receptionist assured me that either Dennis or Randy would come back. She then said she would call me - she never did, after we waited all day. I expected a call early the next morning but it never came. THREE STRIKES AND YOUR OUT. Wouldn't recommend them even if I had a leaky roof.
