Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! And I don’t write reviews. They arrive on their watch not yours. Then try to claim, oh well in this industry….. blah blah blah. No pal, in this industry, u arrive during the window of time promised. That’s what a window of time is for. Don’t give them a credit card number. They will take it upon themselves to charge charge charge without any authorization.
Description of Work: Moved a 1000 Sq foot townhouse. Movers couldn’t fit my belongings in truck. Mind you two bedrooms of belongings were in storage and not part of the move. DO NOT USE ! Maybe learn to pack a truck correctly….it is your one and only job ! Scammers who do this stuff repeatedly. Check them out in Yelp. He blames the algorithms.

This customer was upset that her move required more than one truckload to complete. We offered the customer a second day of service and she agreed. Customer ended up spending more money on move due to not accurately describing scope of work to Pearson office staff at time of booking. Customer is also upset that the company was late to her original arrival window. She booked as a second time slot of the day and the team's first job took longer than expected. Our office informed the customer of the delay on day of service. Customer disputed credit card transaction with her bank twice, which were both ruled in our favor since we did nothing wrong. After losing both chargebacks, client has went on a 1 star review rampage on the internet. Attorneys have been retained and charges will be brought forth for the continued harassment.

When we saw that the POD was not going to be enough, I asked if they had time to assist with the rest of the moving items since I had to move out within a couple days. They told me they did have time for me to pay for their extra services. During the moving of items into the POD, I noticed they placed some of my items in there without wrapping them in plastic. I then noticed they started using some of my own plastic wrapping and, when asked why they were using mine, they stated they had run out of their own. They never went to get any more. This was during the loading of furniture into their own trucks. Much of my furniture had several scratches and chipping after the move. When I reached out to them (and sent pictures), Kyle stated that it is common for clients to see scratches they could not see in the old house lighting. He brought up the fact that I had underestimated the amount of time I was going to need them and that they gave me a discount ($60 out of over $1,200 paid). He then also stated that several family members had assisted in the move, and insinuated perhaps they had scratched the furniture. I am very familiar with my furniture in any lighting as I make an effort to take good care of my belongings. Some of the furniture damaged is fairly new, which makes the scratches and chips especially noticeable to me. The scratches and chips that I am seeing were definitely not there before Pearson Moving handled my furniture. While I did underestimate the amount of time moving would take, they were paid for the additional hours and were paid for a storage space at their facilities ? all additional revenue to them. I found Kyle bringing up the fact he provided a discount (which I am aware he does for other clients also) unnecessary and a form of saying that somehow that excused them from protecting my furniture, or took my right to complain about their lack of care for my items. If it was not possible to properly protect my belongings because of timing, the company should have advised of that and should have declined the job. While it is true family members assisted once the items were brought to the new place, all furniture was placed in the rooms and room location they were supposed to be in by Pearson Moving (as I asked them to). Family members did not move any of the items within the rooms in any way that could have caused the type of damage seen on the many items. Much of the furniture was actually not moved at all. To add insult to injury, Kyle stated that some furniture has a ?distressed? look and texture, and that this means that the item has existing damage for the ?Look?. Of course, I know there is a difference between distressed look and scratched or chipped! After Pearson Moving was ready to leave, their employee came up to me for signature and advised they really had to leave. I felt compelled to just sign their document of completion at that time. Unfortunately, trusting that everything was fine. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and concern from Pearson Moving. I paid them over $1,200 and expected much more professionalism and responsibility for my belongings.

Hi (Member name removed), We are sorry that your move was not completed to your satisfaction. You had rented one 16ft POD for your 3BR house, which is usually meant for 1-2 bedroom apartments. We cannot guarantee the protection of furniture in PODS because it is handled by another company and usually operated by forklifts. We provide a labor only service when loading rented units and cannot provide moving blankets on your furniture when in a rented unit. By not utilizing blankets, and after being shaken around by a forklift, there is risk to the furniture. After the POD was filled up by our initial team, and agreed scope of work, there were still 2-3 PODS left of furniture in the home, which you then informed us that needed to be moved out within 24 hours. It was already late in the afternoon, but your team manager contacted our office and we took immediate measures to take on the additional scope of work and satisfy your needs to leave you as a happy customer and demonstrate our elite level of service. We brought an additional moving truck and three more movers to speed up the process and clear out the home. Upon delivery of your items you signed off with our team manager that everything was completed to your satisfaction and no damage occurred. This is stated above where the signatures are taken on the shipping documents. No damage was seen at this time or mentioned to our staff. There was a lot of items moved and after filling up the house, many items had to be placed in the garage. You had multiple family members on site helping you move and shift around furniture. You contacted our office two weeks later regarding scratches on furniture. Unfortunately our business cannot be held liable or guarantee the safety of items when it has been in the care of the customer and their family after delivery. Sometimes pre existing damage on furniture isn't noticed until the furniture is moved into a new spot or under new lighting and can be then noticed. We are deeply saddened that you feel this damage was caused by our business, but I can assure you that appropriate matters were taken to prevent damage and we hope that you can understand our response and want you to be happy with our services. -Kyle Pearson Moving
