Moving You Simply, LLC

Jill’s elderly parents recently moved from a private home in Sun City West to a senior living facility in Peoria, approximately 10 miles away. An agency called Moving You Simply, that Jill’s parents had never heard of before, contacted them and told them they would help them organize their move, assist them in deciding what would work in their new place, pack everything to move, and hire a mover for them. Furthermore, they were told that when they got in their new home, they would put the heavier pieces into the right places. This all sounds good, however these services failed to justify the total combined bill of $11,444.00 from Moving You Simply, and the Beltmann Group (the moving company Moving You Simply had hired). It became obvious to us that Jill’s parents had been manipulated and taken advantage of by Moving You Simply. The biggest injustice was when Jill’s dad asked the lady, assigned to them at the agency, if she would help them organize an estate sale. She told him that they don’t do estate sales but we later learned from the Moving You Simply website, that they do. To add insult to injury, a past neighbor saw the lady in charge of their move operating a garage sale out of Jill’s parents’ own garage with the things left behind in my parent’s home. The neighbor went over to talk to her, and the lady said that she had no intentions of giving Jill’s parents any of the proceeds from the garage sale. It does not seem right to us that Jill’s parent’s move had been rushed, and they had had no time to go through their belongings at their own pace. We do not know which was worse: That they lost so many memories in this forced move, or that they never received any money from the assets they left behind. It should not matter that Jill’s dad is 90 years old and suffers with pain, or that Jill’s mom is 83 and is developing memory loss and confusion: Moving You Simply should never have taken advantage of them like they did.
