Contractor started work on time, however as week progressed, his crew would show up late in the morning and quit mid afternoon. NO one showed up to work for 3 days. Two days prior to my move in date, I had to spend 4 hours re hanging door that were removed, installing light fixtures removed for painting, re installing window coverings, after purchasing new brackets due to their loss by the painting crew and cleaning up dry paint and wall texture from floors, mirrors and carpet. During the week, contractor said that he had a "big job" that also started. He removed his crew from my job to attend the "big job" because it was more profitable. Contractor promised that he would finish the job himself if his crew didn't finish on time.....WE NEVER SAW HIM PICK UP A BRUSH OR ROLLER. His explanation was that he was ill.....but neither he or his wife or a member of his crew EVER called to offer an explanation. He was fired from the job and another painter was hired to finish the work he did not complete.
Description of Work: contracted to paint the interior of my new home before we moved in. Per contract, he required 1 week to remove existing wallpaper and paint the interior.
