Eddie & Son Lath & Stucco

The only positive interaction was when the scaffolding crew started their prep work. Lath crew is fast at putting up house wrap incorrectly (against code and manufacturer directions) and covering it up quickly with EPS. Lath was installed hastily, with no regard for building codes, and against owner directions. Crew rarely shows up, promises to return to fix blatant issues, and inconsistently returns to continue lath installation on other areas. The owner or site supervisor is defensive and doesn’t believe in house wrap. Poor management, false promises, and appalling workmanship is the best Eddie and Sons could provide on our project.

I've used this company four times over the last ten years. It says a lot that I'd actually never met Eddie or AC until this year as they have always done the work at my rentals without anyone there. The work has always been outstanding and done for a good price.

I spoke with the son and he quoted me a price. I said well, I probably will use you. He said he would get me on the schedule and get back with me. In the meantime, within two hours, another company called me with a lower quote. I sent a text to the son AC and asked him if he would match the other company's quote. AC, the son got mad and told me to hire the other guy. I told him that I did not mean to upset him, I was only asking. He said what frustrated him most wasn't the price, it's that I committed and told him to take care of it.. He hadn't even put me on his schedule yet! I don't know how Eddie is, the son AC definitely has anger issues. I would not want anyone working on my house that gets angry that easily.

Everything went perfectly. AC was my contact and he was very helpful and responsive. He explained all of my options and answered all my questions. He also helped me find a new roofer when my guy didn't respond. Work was done correctly and on time. They were also very careful with the new roof and cleaned up well. I left a message first thing in the morning and received a call back from AC that same afternoon. AC was very professional and more than respected and accommodated my need to be on time for work, so he showed up at my house, promptly at 6:30, as discussed. Without any nonsense, he wanted to dig right in and see what he was working with. After taking a look at the entire exterior of the house, it was deemed unnecessary to schedule to perform any work. Why, you ask? AC was not going to take my money for the minor work that could be done as prep work during a paint job on the house. Why was this important to me, you ask? Well, just a couple of days prior, another stucco 'pro' came by and tried to sell me a bad bill of goods about having to re-render the entire west side of the house due to the superficial cracking being explained as structural buckling, causing the stucco to fail, which would have resulted in thousands of dollars out of pocket. Instead, he referred me to a couple of trusted paint professionals that have the crew to take care of both the superficial cracks and a quality paint job. Though these guys made no money on this house call, they made one more contact that knows there are still honest people/businesses out there. Thanks again!

Can not say enough great things about AC and his team from Eddie & Son! He was responsive to all phone calls and completed a quote in no time. Price was very competitive the other other companies that quoted. Before the team came out to get to work AC and his foreman came out to get things finalized. While they were there, they helped me replace a ledge board that I had mounted for a future patio cover that they advised me wouldn't work. Something that would have taken me an hour to do by myself, they completed in 10 minutes...definitely went above and beyond there. The team was amazing to watch and they completed the whole process in just two days! AC said they will come out in 3 weeks before I paint to repair any cracks (that naturally happen with stucco) and will come out again in 2 years to do the same. I will not hesitate to hire AC and his guys again! In fact, I already have another job I want them to do...adding pop-outs to all the windows on my house! Pictures are of the before, process of putting up waterproofing, foam and lath, the team at work, first coat completed and the finished product.

I have a new home being built that is 6500 sq ft. The house is build with ICF, with some radius walls being completed with wood framing. This presented a difficult stucco challenge as the surfaces behind the stucco will shrink and move differently. AC and his crew worked very hard to ensure that the movement would be isolated, and took extra measures to reduce future cracking. It all looks great! Timely and courteous - doesn't get any better than that!

I could not be more pleased with AC and his crew. They did an outstanding job on my house last year, so I had them back to stucco the block fence. AC is ultra responsive, professional and thorough. It is so rare to find contractors who actually care about customer satisfaction, let alone the quality of their work. I will need to build something else on my property just to have Eddie & Son come back a third time!

Eddie's son "AC" showed up about a month before the project to give me an estimate for the work. He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and provided some great advice on our project. I had pretty much decided to go with Eddie and Son even before I got AC's quote which ended up coming in a little bit lower than 2 other companies that I talked to (both of whom were also highly rated high on Angie's list) which made my decision even easier. Scheduling was really smooth - no hiccups. The team of guys who did the work were amazing. The painters that I hired to paint the traditional stucco even commented on the craftsmanship of the stucco work. And compliments keep coming in from the neighbors. Eddie and Son really did a great job - all the details were done to perfection and we are VERY happy that we went with them. On a side note, for those of you who decide to go with both synthetic and traditional stucco on your project just note that the synthetic stucco (which is mixed with the color you choose) is a shade different than the same paint that will go on your traditional stucco. Your best bet is to take your synthetic color swatch from Eddie and Son and give it directly to your painters to match - do just give them the paint color/number/manufacturer.

Fantastic !!!!! Searched Angie's list and discovered Eddie & Son Lath & Stucco. I called them late in the afternoon after the exterminator had been to the house to knock down the swarm for the 3rd time. I received a call back within minutes by Eddie's son stating his father could come out the next day to assess and possible repair damage. .The next morning Eddie showed up promptly at the specified time, assessed the damaged , we agreed on the price and he commenced to repair the damage. He completed his task very professionally, cleaned up and said he would allow the stucco to cure for several days and then he would come back to paint the repairs. Sure enough Eddie called a few days later, we agreed on a day and time he arrived again on time and completed his task. Words do not adequately express how professional he was and how knowledgable he was on how to handle the problem. I very enthusiastically would recommend him to do ANY stucco repair work on my house. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with his work ethic and the quality of his work!!!!!!!

They did an excellent job repairing and repainting the stucco on the walls of my property. I could not be happier with the quality of the work done, response time, and professionalism. They matched the color of the paint to my home perfectly. I would reccommend them highly. The repair took one day, and after time allowed for drying, painting took one day as well.
