I think they did a good job at a fair price. I would use them again in the future.

In December, I contacted and received an estimate for backyard landscaping services. I was very impressed with the straightforward manner they business, and the design WAS creative! I liked the hardscapes proposed and the individual needs that I expressed being represented in the design. They reassured me that the company guaranteed the work, and would come back and replace any dead plants in the first 90 days. So despite the fact that the cost estimate was a bit higher than the others I received (price quote was 10K), I thought that by hiring a quality company I would receive quality work and support. Months of having to bug them again and again to get work done and a significant disappointment in their guaranttee, I am sorry to say that this was not my experience. Three weeks after installation, a hard long frost descended and half of the plants and trees died. I honestly didn’t worry because they said they would replace plants in the first 90 days. Now that they had my money, they told me “I’m sorry, but the frost was an ACT OF GOD, and we cannot replace these plants.” I was extremely unhappy. For months after the work was allegedly “completed” I was having to call weekly to follow up on several open items (such as the electrical box that was improperly installed with a broken hinge that is was not able to open and shut without problem, and a design that left with me a dangerously exposed stem wall). Mike FINALLY got a crew over to fix these items this month, but only because I called 10+ times for over three months. I am extremely disappointed that the “ACTS OF GOD” clause was not explained to me when I was encouraged to have this work done during their slow holiday season prior to a frost. For what I paid, I would think 10K would cover a few dead plants. Overall Assessment: Custom Creative Outdoor Spaces has some very creative designs as their name states. Their hardscapes were well done and they always answered my calls. However, I lost my trust in their willingness to be fair over the dead plants and their extreme delay when it came to fixing their mistakes. It is hard to recommend a company that you don’t trust. I wish I could give a better grade.
