I spent around $300. I would recommend others to use them because they're good, they're honest and they don't overcharge. We haven't used others in the past, we always use them. So we found someone who works for us and we stick with them. It's him and his wife and they're really nice people to talk to.

They were absolutely wonderful. I will always go back to them. Our air conditioning went out in the hot heat. We have a baby and they came out right away the next morning on Sunday. They are really great people and really took care of us.

We invited three companies to provide quotes to replace our air conditioners. From my first contact with Croffoot, I could tell they were special. The company essentially consists of Kirk Croffoot, who does the HVAC work, and his wife Susie, who runs the office. Susie is awesome, and it is nice to know she is always the person you get when you call. She does a great job with the logistics, and is also very knowledgeable about HVAC. After purchasing our air conditioners, she took care of all the paperwork for the extended warranties and various rebates. When coming to provide the quotes, the other HVAC salespeople did spend more time evaluating our needs and explaining the various options and systems, but Kirk was super friendly and spec'd out just what we needed with no nonsense. It simply reflects the fact that he is not a salesman. It meant a lot to me and my family to know that the person we interviewed and discussed everything with, who has decades of experience and we had no trouble trusting in our home, would be the individual personally doing the work. It actually sold me when he came on the sales call to do the quote with dirty hands. While the other salesmen were cordial and informative, we did not know who would show up to do the work, or if any of the details we discussed would make it to technicians. Once the summer heat came on, it became obvious that one of the two units was not working correctly. I don't blame Croffoot at all for this, as it seemed a one-off, infant mortality issue with the unit. Since it was an intermittent problem, Kirk asked us to video it for him, which was a huge help for troubleshooting. He said he had not heard that sound from an air conditioner in his career. Kirk and Susie went to bat for us with the manufacturer, and promptly replaced the entire outside unit, no questions asked. And at no cost to us. I would not hesitate to recommend Croffoot Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone.

My first contact was with Susie and I have to say i was very pleased with the initial information she provided about their services. We set an appointment and Kirk came out at the time and date set. Kirk is worth his weight in gold. He was professional, personable, and very very competent. We were so happy that it was a no brainer to sign up for their annual service contract. Both Kirk and Susie have been in the heating and cooling business for a long time and know their stuff. We are really thrilled to have found them on Angie's list.

I came home 7:30 on Friday night & found no air coming from the air conditioner. I called expecting to leave a message but Susie answered, walked me through what to do on temp basis, & made appt for noon the next day (saturday). Kirk showed up on time, was friendly, knowledgable, & honest. He replaced the failed part on the 9 yr old ac unit. I just moved to AZ 4 months ago & am so happy to have found a trustworthy HVAC company. Susie & Kirk are great to work with.

Called around on a Friday trying to get AC service for a system that was not making cold air at all. When I called Croffoot AC, Susie was concerned that we had no working AC and rearranged Kirk's schedule to come by THAT VERY AFTERNOON. I already had 2 bids for repair and replacement from a company I did not want to work with, due to their very high prices. Kirk was very pleasant and professional and got right to work. He checked the outside unit and found a leak (that the other company also found). The system was extremely low on refrigerant which also confirmed what the other company found. Kirk checked the attic and found a large hole that allowed hot air to get to the attic unit. This hole had been made by the previous company (the only people ever to work on this system) and NEVER fixed (or even mentioned) by them. Kirk told us he could repair the leak and refill the system with refrigerant. His price estimate was ONE THIRD the price of the other company. We thankfully agreed and Kirk got cold air blowing very quickly. He didn't take payment that day because he didn't have quite enough refrigerant to fill up the unit. We agree that he would come by the next afternoon, which he did, and he accepted payment, and our appreciation, at that time. Kirk was down to earth and professional. He quickly assessed the situation and suggested an economic solution that solved the problem. He fixed a problem created by ANOTHER company that we would never have known about. My husband and I were impressed by Kirk's depth of knowledge and practical manner. I was very impressed by Susie's concern on my first phone call. I was also impressed that Susie called back a week or so later to make sure that all was still good with the repair. It is rare to find a combination of wealth of experience, practicality, human concern and honesty in any repair industry. Croffoot AC has all these. I will be happy to continue to work with Croffoot AC and would heartily recommend them to anyone.

Kirk arrived as promised at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. The cause of the problem was an odd-ball but his methodical troubleshooting found it soon without thowing expensive parts at the system. he checked power to the control box and found that the plug for the whole system was burned open circuit where it plugged into the utility room wall. It was hidden behind a water heater but he managed to replace the whole cord and plug in less than an hour.

Our A/C went out on a Sunday afternoon and I found Croffoot on Angie's List. I called and left a message expecting a call back on Monday since they were closed, but Susie called back that afternoon and set-up an appointment for the next day at 11:30am. Then on Monday, when Kirk was running late from the job before us, Susie called to let me know - I really appreciated the prompt call to update the timing! Kirk showed up and determined the compressor was shorted. He quoted to either replace the compressor and get us going, replace just the outside unit, or replace the whole system - our call. After discussing with him and reviewing the situation, our system was old, the compressor had already been replaced two years ago so there was probably more problems causing the failure, and we had a R-22 Freon system which is being phased out next year, so it didn't make sense to put a lot of money into patching up the old system and we decided to replace the whole system. I got another quote to compare and they were within a few hundred dollars of each other. We were so impressed with Kirk's knowledge, professionalism and willingness to do whatever option we preferred, we decided to go with them and couldn't be happier. They were able to schedule the job for that Thursday. Kirk and James showed up on time (even a few minutes early rather than late) and got to work right away. He asked if we had any problems with the old system, and I let him know the back bedrooms and bathroom were always warm, so he said he could adjust those as well to get it right. They did a fantastic job, and had the entire old system out, new system in, including getting the rooms balanced, and even left our garage cleaner than they found it, all in one day. Susie took care of all the paperwork for the manufacturer and SRP rebates as well as registering the unit for the warranty. They included a 10 year warranty on parts & labor. Kirk said if we have any trouble in the next ten years, they come back and fix it! He also said if we have any trouble with the balance in the back rooms when it gets hot in a few months, he'll come back and fix that. The system is working great. Croffoot was definitely the right choice. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and focused on doing a great job and making sure everything was right. I highly recommend them!

We bought this home about 3 years ago. It was built in 1979, and I do not know how old the air conditioner is. It has been leaking freon each year. I have had various people over to tune up the unit over these 3 years. The first outfit I had tried right away to sell me a $10,000 new unit because mine had so much wrong with it. He added freon and did something machanical to it and charged us over $300.00. I called my husband and had him tell him what he could do, as far as the maintenance was concerned. The second guy last year told us we were leaking freon, he added some and wanted to do bunch of mechanical stuff as well. I told him to add the freon and that was all. I have no faith in the people I have had so far, so I saw the write up in Angies List for Croffoot and decided to give them a try. I told him flat out that I wanted his as a second opinion. He said we were leaking freon, but that he had some sealant he was pretty sure would work, so he added that and the freon and said if the sealant didn't work, he would refund the cost of it and we would go from there. He also said that there were some bearings that were a little loose, but would probably last another year or so. We are very happy with his method of doing business and will definately be calling him again.

We needed an A/C tune up performed on an older A/C unit. Kirk was prompt, knowledgeable and fair. We will definitely call Croffoot when needed again! Would highly recommend this company!

Kirk and Susie are the consummate professionals. They sold us what we needed, educated us on what was appropriate for our home, and made sure that they explained the details of what they intended to do. They provided their best pricing on the FIRST try, not the third try (as several of their competitors did). Kirk is not only an excellent salesman - based on knowledge and understanding - but he is also the skilled professional doing the installation and fabrication work at your house. He oversees and participates in all of the hands-on work, and that, to me, says it all. If you do not install new HVAC systems on a day-to-day basis, you cannot possibly know what the best outcomes might be (or the worst). This makes all the difference. They were kind to our home, keeping it as clean as possible while having to work in the attic for two full days. The difference between the before-and-after is amazing. If you don't know much about HVAC systems and a good installation, Kirk will ensure that you do before he leaves your home. The outcome was exactly as expected, and the new systems are running well. We're anxious to see the cost difference between systems that were here for 19 years and the new ones. Croffoot was not the cheapest but we do know that they did the best work! Some of the other vendors who visited our home were only interested in the sale, making sure we knew of the rebates (including those sponsored by Costco for their preferred brand), and their own "discounts." But for HVAC systems that will need to last for 15 years to be worthy of the investment, the few dollars you'll save on "discounts" from over-zealous contractors will not overcome the real cost associated with a BAD INSTALLATION. Make the right choice!

I called on a (hot) Saturday morning and reached Susie who scheduled me for a visit on Monday afternoon but also said she would try to get me scheduled sooner. And she did; Kirk arrived later that same day, diagnosed, and fixed my A/C. I watched him thoroughly check the various parts of my aged system. I recommend him highly for his expertise, professionalism, and friendliness.

Kirk is our hero!!! Our AC unit died in September when it was still extremely hot and we had company from back east not used to the AZ heat. I knew we needed a new unit so I called 3 different companies to come out and give me quotes. The first 2 companies sent out salespeople to quote me on new units, then Kirk (the owner) came, he said he had an old unit he could install ASAP to get us by, a temporary solution so we wouldn't have to make a rush decision, allowing time so that we could do the replacement when the teperature cooled down, as they would have to get up in the hot attic. WOW, needless to say my husband and I were impressed. HIs temporary fix gave us time to research units and make the best informed decision. I can't say enough good about the character of Kirk, he is an honest, nice guy, he knows what he's doing and his wife Susie, she's terrific, she is also a very nice person and bless her, she knows more than any woman alive about AC units. LOL Needless to say we will never use anyone else for our heating and cooling needs.

Mr. Croffoot's quality servicing and first rate thoroughness are quite admirable. He and his wife, Suzie, are so very pleasant and professional. I was so impressed with them and their work that I signed up for their Preventive Maintenance Agreement. This is my A/C Heating Servicing company from now on. Very pleased and highly recommend ! Once again, a GREAT job! We had a problem with one of our heat pumps late last year and they came by and fixed it the same day at a reasonable price. At the time we were considering replacing our 30 year old other heat pump. Kirk gave us a bid with three options. We called last week as we decided to replace it before the summer. Excellent pricing! Excellent service! And Kirk takes the time to explain and answer any and every question you may have. My husband trusts almost no one - but he trusts Kirk. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

From the moment we called Suzie, to meeting Kirk the owner of the company for 27 years, we were impressed with the honesty, integrity and absolute thorough evaluation of our needs. We received three quotes and honestly, Croffoot was a little higher than the others, but none of them were as experienced or thorough. The owner did the work himself. Outstanding! We highly recommend.

Kirk was knowledgable, proffesional and here to do his job without trying to sell something else. Instructed me on home maintainance and was very pleasant to be around. I would recomend Croffoot to anyone and we have them in our contractors to use again file. Kudos to the office for the very same reasons. Proffesional, prompt and so polite. Susie called me ahead of time. Kirk and his employee arrived on time, troubleshooting the problem, adding freon and 1 can of easy seal to fix the leak, spending considerable of time to answer all of my questions. He works professionally. Thanks Kirk!

I have been having a lot of issues with the air flow of my HVAC unit in my house. One room got blasted with air while another room (my bedroom) the air trickled in. I have had several ac guys over to inspect the issue and they all informed me that the duct work was incorrect, uninsulated, and full of leaks. This probably explains my $500 ac bill for my 1800 sq ft house in July and August. Once I understood the issue i had received quotes to redo all the duct work. They ranged form $5500 to $2000 and they all had completely different ideas on how to redo it to ensure proper air flow. Kurt came over and presented what i thought was the best idea and at a much more reasonable cost than many others. He is polite, professional, and he cleans up after himself. I am extremely satisfied with the job he did. I now have air flow in my bedroom and overall my house is more comfortable. I highly recommend this company. Kurt is now my goto AC guy. Kindest Regards,
