Called them to get a quote for a new 4.5 ton AC system installation. The owner is very professional and knowledgeable. The only reason I didn't use them for the service is the price they quoted me is a little high. For a York 14 SEER 4.5 ton system, I was quoted for almost 7300, compared to <5500 for a new 14 SEER Trane system from some other AC companies. They did cover 10 year labor but still the price difference is a little big. I think they are good and professional but I would recommend to call around to check the price.

Our 36 year old air conditioner broke down on a Saturday afternoon. Croffoot Heating and Air Conditioning responded promptly. Our air conditioner was so old and inefficient that we opted to replacement as opposed to repair. Kirk Coffoot worked for hours without charge and got our old unit to limp along until a new one could be installed. They're price for a new unit was the same as another estimate we had gotten from another company. They showed up when expected to install the unit and did a professional job. The new unit drew more air than the old one and therefore made a whistling sound. Once I mentioned this, they came back out and installed a new air return grating at no cost. I would recommend Croffoot to anyone needing air conditioning service or replacement.

Very well indeed! Kirk is knowledgeable and experienced. Also easy to work with. I now have full confidence in the system as the hot summer approaches. And for years to come. I used him before, to get a bit more life out of an ancient system and felt quite comfortable choosing him over 3 other proposals. Susie, in their office, did the necessary paperwork to get the warranty data filed and my rebate coming from SRP.

Susie was quick to schedule my repairs. She asked for the list in advance so they would be prepared when they arrived. Kirk and a helper showed up on-time. They quickly went about their work, communicating with me along the way. Kirk even helped me resolve an issue that wasn't related to the A/C system, going above and beyond. I have used this company before and will definitely utilize them again as I know I have found a company that is honest when assessing my systems and when performing their work.

The entire appointment and repair went very well from start to finish. All communications in setting up the appointment were clear and pleasant, I received a courtesy call about a half hour before Mr. Croffoot's arrival on the day of the repair, and he arrived right on time. He heard me out on a litany of problems I had had in trying to get the unit repaired through another repair service, and my brief description of the units' service history. After that, he jumped into the servicing and diagnostics, and quickly nailed down the problem that was for whatever reason so elusive to the other repairmen: failing bearings in a fan motor which was periodically heating up, starting to seize, and causing the cold air to quit blowing. This had been misdiagnosed twice before by folks who were chasing their tails and wasting my time, so it was really nice to have Mr. Croffoot come in and immediately nail down this problem, which was a fire hazard as well as an annoyance, and a periodic disabler of one of the three units. (The unit would quit blowing cold air when the temperature got above 90 degrees, then would start working again the next morning.) He also had the replacement fan motor on the truck, so he was able to carry out the repair immediately, in addition to the rest of the routine servicing. After the work was done, Mr. Croffoot gave me a good summary of exactly what was done, and clearly answered my questions on aspects of the system I wasn't sure about, including some things he hadn't worked on at all, such as the condensation drain piping. Since the repair, the system has been running properly, really the first time all three units have been running right, and running smoothly and quietly, since I moved into the house in November of last year. The work was well done, prices were fair, communications excellent. I'm a happy camper, and will certainly use Croffoot Heating & Air Conditioning again.

GREAT ! THEY SCHEDULED OUR APPOINTMENT BETWEEN 11 AND 12. KIRK (OWNER) ARRIVED AT 11:05. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL , CURTIOUSAND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING AS HE WAS DOING IT. EXPLAINED WHAT WE HAD TO BE AWARE OF A POSSIBLE PROBLEM THAT MY ACCURE IN THE FUTURE. NO OUT OF NORMAL SITUATION ENCOUNTERED. RECOMMENDED HIS COMPANY TO MY SISTER-IN-LAW. Kirk and Susie are the best in the business! Croffoot has been servicing our AC and heating units for the past few years, but it was time to replace the old units - they were over 13 years old. Kirk and his crew removed the old units and installed two completely new AC and gas heating units. They did a terrific job! I know I can rely on them to keep our house at the proper temperature for many years to come. It is so refreshing to know that there are honest, competent business folks out there like them.

Every prompt service, called Monday morning was told he (Tony) would be here approximately 12 noon the same day. He was on the dot. Every knowledgeable and friendly. Explained everything as he worked on the unit. Will be calling them again when I need my air conditioner setup. .Thank you, we were very pleased with the service provided.

Service was great. He showed up on time was very knowledgeable about the problem. He repaired the system and tested it, everything worked perfectly.

Really appreciated there honesty due to they could have tried to sell me a new unit but they fixed it and said it could probably last for a while longer. Very timely in there work. Very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing.

They’re just totally awesome. They are very personable, honest, have integrity, and they’re not going to rip you off. I just can’t say enough about them.

Came home from vacation to no air conditioning. Called Friday morning, and they were there that afternoon . Replaced the blower motor, which (unknown to us) was under warranty, saving us hundreds of dollars. We really appreciated the fast response, and their honesty regarding the warrranty. Plus Tony was very professional. We will definitely use them again!

Kirk was at my home on time. We sat down for about 15 minutes as I explained the on going problem with the A/C system. I have been using the same repairman for at least 12 years, but this problem was not going away and I decided to have Kirk come out to get a second opinion. About 8 years ago, I had a printed circuit board replaced in my air handler because it was damaged beyond repair due to an electrical storm that summer. He replaced the board and installed an inline fuse to protect this board from future power surges. From this point on, I had the fuse blow due to summer storms and replaced at least 6 times after having to wait sometimes a day and a half. Not to comfortable when it gets into the 90's inside. This fuse blew one time during the winter cycle without experiencing any power outage. My A/C guy tried, but was never able to determine the cause and on his last visit suggested running a new cable from the air handler outside and down to the A/C unit. This would have cost several hundred dollars, and he could not guarantee it would solve the problem. Enter Kirk. Kirk went to work starting at the A/C unit outside, and then up in the attic area to reconnect a wire that been disconnected in a previous outage trip by my A/C guy in his attempt to determine if this problem with cease. It did not. I went out see see what Kirk was doing on the A/C unit and showed me what be believes was the problem. Now this is the original A/C system and is nearly 19 years old, and aside form the blown fuse problem, has been fairly reliable putting out cold air. Kirk had to replace about 2 feet of the low voltage cable that connects to the A/C unit on the ground. The outer jacket of this cable had split open in multiple locations exposing the individual insulated wires, some of which were worn, and could have been the source of possible shorting causing the fuse to blow. Kirk then tested the A/C in both cold and heat mode to verify things were working like they should. They did. Kirk is so confident that this repair has solved my problem, he told me he would not charge me for a service call if the system goes down due to a blown fuse. While I'll have to wait till next summer to really test this fix, but at this point I feel good about it not having to suffer from a down A/C unit. I think I found my new A/C guy. I will follow up next year after a good storm or power outage and report what happened.

From the initial call to the completion of the work this job was flawless. Kirk came out for an estimate after evaluating our issues. He was very professional, took time to talk to me to find out the problem. My brother had disconnected the refrigeration unit when he rewired my house thinking it was an electric connection for an electric dryer. I called my brother and the two of them figured it out with the use of my iphone and facetime. Problem resolved refrigeration working again. He'll be back to work on my heating unit. Nice guy.

Tony showed up on time and performed the work quickly. Took the time to explain to us how to prevent coil icing up issue we've been experiencing lately. We have a service contract with Croffoot and are sure glad we do. We schedule at least two visits a year to check up on our AC unit. Each time they let us know the kind of things to keep an eye out for, so we can catch problems before a complete outage. The thing I like best about Croffoot is they fix and service equipment rather than just recommend unit replacement.

This company is really excellent. They were able to come out, diagnose, and fix the problem within an hour and a half of calling them. Very professional, honest and gave us advice on how to avoid the issue in the future. I highly recommend Croffort Heating & Air Conditioning.

This went very well. They came right in and didn’t stop until the job was done. I had them come out and check the Freon as a curtesy. He told me shouldn’t have to come out for another two years. The owner was onsite installing, which is a good thing and his wife, Suzie, was very helpful and courteous.

I've been in Tempe since 1982, and this was absolutely best A/C service experience I've had. Kurt and Susie were simply outstanding in all respects. They exemplify competence, professionalism and a great customer service. It was a pleasure doing business with them!

Another A/C company diagnosed a leaking coil and recommended replacement of the unit or coil. I contacted Croffoot to get a second opinion on the issue. Susie was very knowledgeable and able to give me some options to resolve the issue. First we tried to repair it, but the holes were larger than originally thought based on the amount of freon lost. I was going to down the road of replacing the unit, but Susie took extra steps and verified that the coil was still under warranty with the manufacturer. I opted to replace the coil instead of the entire unit, since a new unit was over 6k. She also worked with the tenant to schedule the repairs and answer any questions. I am very happy with the service that was provided by Croffoot Heating and A/C.

It's not just a job for Kirk. It's a career. When one of the AC units failed during ambient temperatures over 100F in AZ, it was an urgency. Susie responded to our call request within an hour, and Kirk came out and fixed the problem the same day. No B.S. Timely repair. No up-sale. No recommendation to buy some "maintenance plan". We really appreciate the good work and honesty. We wanted him to evaluate the rest of the AC system. Instead of doing a 1/2 a$$ job, he recommended that we book a follow up appointment so he can thoroughly and meticulously inspect the system (involving climbing up to the attic and testing all 3 AC units). We appreciated the honesty. Good 'ol mid western values coupled with excellent work. We appreciate the service and will use again.

Amazing! My dad had two other "estimates". One told him he needed a new AC unit. The other wanted to cut holes in his walls to find out where the duct work was to figure out where it needed to be enlarged. Croffoot knew exactly where the crawl space was, where to go, where to look and what the situation was. Instead of THOUSANDS of dollars, it was $488 and some change. My dad is on a fixed income and needed dental work this same week. He was so relievedto be cool AND be able to get his teeth fixed.
