The owners were very knowledgeable and the technicians did a great job and were very professional.

We are thrilled with the work that was done in our patio area. Not only was the awfully dirty flagstone cleaned and sealed, but areas where the mortar was chipped and missing were also repaired. Tom and Amy were very prompt in responding to my e-mail inquiries. They came out for an estimate, and thoroughly explained the process, as well as what we could reasonably expect based on the condition of the flagstone. We scheduled the work for a week later, and the crew came on the designated dates. They arrived early and worked diligently and non-stop during the morning hours for two days ( the first day for cleaning and the second day for sealing). Timmy (the job's foreman) and his crew did a wonderful job. They were very courteous and professional, and showed me the work as it was in progress. We are very grateful for the excellent job that was done to bring the flagstone to a "looks new" state. Many thanks to Tom and Amy Baker and their great crew.

Baker's Travertine EXCEEDED my expectations wildly. Super friendly, easy to work with and very reasonable price (we got other quotes). The crew was awesome. Very friendly and respectful of our home. Miles, Travis, & the crew arrived at the set appointment after Tom Baker had come to the house to give me an entire education on stone care & maintenance as well as an estimate on my job (accurate to the penny, I might add) For 3 days they transformed my travertine to a level of finish I could hardly believe, and made a large Marble kitchen Island look NEW after fixing horrible swirl marks having been polished by someone else at some point not nearly as skilled as Tom Bakers crew. Worth every penny I paid & then some, they are not the cheapest BUT they are the BEST!. I would not even consider another company touching my Travertine or Marble after seeing what Baker's Travertine Power Clean team can do, true Stoneologists!

First Amy came out to our house to measure and give us a written estimate, she showed me some before and after photos of tile like ours as well as the type of machines they would be using, I felt very comfortable after talking with her about hiring them to do the job because she really knew tile cleaning. The day of the cleaning they called ahead to let me know they were on their way, once they got here they all introduced themselves to me and explained the process to me and went to work , what a great crew you can tell they've been working together for a while they just know what to do and got it done. I really couldn't be happier with the results.

Amy came out at our scheduled time and told us exactly what to expect and the cost of the job, which was $500, their minimum. Then, on the day we selected, Ray and Travis came to do the work. They were very professional, answered all my questions, told me exactly what they would be doing, and gave me a lot of information about travertine tile care. They were on time, worked very hard to get the bathroom and shower in great shape. It was great to hear the guys speak so highly about their bosses. It was evident that they took pride in their work! Ray and Terry were the technicians who were on time, very personable, informative about the process and sealer they would be using and completed their job in a timely manner. They also provided some minor repairs to grout in the shower and extra effort was used to clean the grout residue around toilet, tub deck and window ledge when originally installed in 2010. They also provided cleaning tips on hard water deposits on glass and faucet. Upon completion, the bathroom just sparkled and looked like new once again.

This floor was installed in 2005 and was not properly maintained. We seriously considered removing the floor and replacing with tile and carpet until we met the Bakers! They provided a very informative education to the process and that our floors would be restored to "like new".......the rest is history and I would highly recommend using this company again.

Travis, Miles and James arrived and completed the work on time, were very professional and polite, They did a masterful job bringing the tile back to a bright finish. The also repaired some small cracks and installed tile to cover substrate left exposed by a new appliance. I was very impressed with all aspects of this transaction. I got a quote from them 3 years ago and because of various issues we chose not to move forward at that time. When I called in November they had the earlier quote, which saved time upfront. I booked the service. The team was timely and exceedingly professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. We had our entire first floor travertine tile honed and polished. It looks unbelievable. I would not hesitate to use Baker's Travertine Power Clean again.

Formerly, it had a "satin" finish that looked dusty when it was clean. website completeness The website touches all of the subjects that a good commercial service website should including information about the science of stone flooring and the reason for the processes they use. The videos are basic phone-cam amateur quality but at least you can get a first person look at how they work. Otherwise, this should be a model approach for other home service providers of any sort. voice phone availability Sometimes, because all staff are deployed, you have to leave a message. Be patient. Our experience was to get reply times from immediately to within 24 hrs, even on a weekend. estimate visit and invoice Tom and Amy Baker provided the measuring and estimating themselves for our job. Tom was thorough about options and details of their work processes according to the finish (high gloss) that we wanted. The invoice had each item listed and costed, and the bill was reasonable. appointment keeping After the estimate, a crew foreman contacts you to set a date and time. In our case our schedule was flexible which allowed them to route their crew to minimize distance traveled. During our phone conversations, both the Bakers and the foreman made it clear that this was greatly appreciated. The crew foreman kept us posted on when they would arrive. Since we were not their first site-of-the-day we knew the show time would be variable. In our case they did the main job over a 2 day period with a follow-up for finishing touches we requested on a third day. crew management and courtesy They are all gentlemen and their team coordination is admirable. They are very careful with furnishings and the movement of thier equipment so that there is no collateral damage. We had none. home routine disruption and recovery Be ready to accommodate their truck and trailer rig for access your house because two hoses must be trailed through your house, so you will have a partially open door. In our case they could park on our driveway. Noise and humidity were at tolerable levels. Each day the crew exited the house without a trace except for the shiny surfaces. No residue or moisture was left so the house was immediately usable. special note A waste-product of their work is a slurry that they must drain somewhere at your residence. Where they are allowed to drain this slurry may be an issue at some locations. I did not ask for or get any information on how much was drained or if there is a chemical risk.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my floors and how they look thanks to the Baker's team. By far this is the best home improvement investment I've made to date - they look brand new to me. After meeting Tom and Amy I didn't look any further - this is very unusual and risky for me since I usually get at least 2-3 estimates on any service work - however after interacting with them I decided to take the chance and was glad that I did. They were very knowledgeable and took time to answer all of my questions. In addition, the team that performed the work were the most thorough, courteous and professional crew I have ever worked with - and they were very nice too!! I would highly recommend this company. In closing, if this is any indication of my satisfaction, this is the FIRST time I have ever written a review/recommendation outside of LinkedIn!

.Team arrived promptly. Wood floors and baseboards were adequately protected before work started. All contracted work was done in a professional manner and areas of concern (i.e. existing scratches in travertine that could not be repaired) were pointed out. I was thoroughly pleased with the work performed.

I contacted Bakers Travertine Power Clean and set up an appointment for Tom and Amy Baker to come out and give me an estimate. They arrived on time, measured the floor @ 1524 square feet, explained the process (They use a Custom Abrasive process to clean the stone and grout, then finer abrasives to sand the stone to the desired finish, buffing out etches, dullness and light scratches. Then they apply a penetrating sealer which does not affect the appearance of the stone, but soaks in and is invisibe), and gave me a bid for 3 different finish options: Satin, Light Polish, or High Polish. I discussed the finishes with my wife and she chose the Light Polish for $1905. We then received a 5% senior discount. I communicated by email with Tom and Amy and they promptly replied with answers to all my questions. We set the date for the cleaning/polishing/sealing for October 11. I emptied our china cabinet in the dining room and a baker's rack in the kitchen. Ray called me when he was 30 minutes out to let me know his arrival time. He and 3 other gentlemen arrived at about 10:30 AM. Ray walked the rooms with me to confirm everything that had been discussed with Tom and Amy. Ray came across as very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with all four gentlemen in our home. The gentlemen immediately started working. They had to move a pool table, a parlor grand piano, china cabinet, grandfather clock, a dining room table, a kitchen table, and a large sectional couch. I left our home for lunch and again in the afternoon, which shows the confidence I had in Ray and his team. When my wife returned a little after 5:00 PM, the job was done. Later on, when I got home, my wife was ecstatic! She absolutely loves the floor. I should state that our Travertine is in our dining room, huge entry, hallways, laundry room, master bathroom, kitchen, great room, and pantry. My wife said that she wished we would have had the floors polished and sealed when we had them installed. Tom and Amy said that the light polish would really bring out the color variation in the Travertine. It certainly did that. We had our floors done 5 years ago and I didn't really see any value in having them done again. But that was because the previous company CLEARLY did not have the expertise that Bakers Travertine Power Clean does. I would absolutely, without hesitation, recommend Tom and Amy Baker. They have been responsive, punctual, and professional. The floors have NEVER looked this good.

I always ask people how they got into the line of work and whether they were happy doing it. The folks who Tom sent all said the same thing when questioned, they work for the best people. It showed in their work. They were meticulous. The team that was sent worked well after what I thought was "great" but they were not satisfied. The work was done very well without any mess to existing rooms where wood was just installed. They not only did all of the work, they showed my wife how to best clean the travertine and the granite counter tops. On time service, done extremely well is what we all like to see.

Called them on short notice 5 days before we moved into our new house. They were able to squeeze us in the day before the movers were scheduled. They buffed to satin 1000sq ft or so of travertine floors and the travertine shower walls/floor. They were prompt, clean, professional and most importantly, they TRANSFORMED our floors from dingy to magnificent. I will use them again in a few years.

Just could not finalize the deal - too bad. I will be having another service company coming but in the future the Bakers will be always contacted for my travertine care need bids for sure.

Called company on June 14th 2013 to request a quote to clean 3 bathrooms of travertine tile and granite in kitchen. Never called back. To Baker's, Just so you know it is ALWAYS my practice to do as you stated - once at the beginning and once at the end. The other 3 companies I called and left messages for that day did not have any issues and all promptly returned my calls.

We were moving into a new house so wanted to get the travertine cleaned up and sealed before the movers arrived. They came out and gave us a quote, and their crew of three arrived on time and did a great job with the work. Will use them again.
