This company painted the exterior of my home, and it looks amazing! I was very impressed from the beginning to the end of the process. When Mr. Mcmillan came to my home to give me an estimate he was professional and explained everything. The price was good, but what sold me was his attention to detail. Mr. Mcmillan was at my house everyday for a period of time supervising his crew. He also showed me the high quality materials that they used , and it definitely shows in the paint job. Right before they were finished painting, he decided to put another coat of paint on the side of my house where the sun hits. He went beyond expectations! His crew did a great job covering everything, cleaning up and were professional, hard workers. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

Best choice of painting company I've ever made. Performance exceeded expectation. Neighbors stop while work was in progress and wanted to know who was doing the job. Highest quality work, and the house looks great. Had him reseal the flat roof over my patio too. Highly recommend him.

I was very pleased with the work performed by Alex and his team. The contract was very straightforward and Alex took the time to review it in detail before I signed it. There were no hidden costs and nothing had been left out. The crew showed up right on schedule each and every day. They were polite and respectful. There were a lot of hairline cracks in the stucco and the paint on some parts of the house was faded as it had been more than 15 years since the house had been painted. As such, it required a lot of prep work. Alex's crew truly excelled in the quality of their prep work. My neighbors (with whom I rarely otherwise even talk) commented the same. The crew did an excellent job of covering sidewalks, windows, and even the driveway with sheets of plastic to prevent paint splatter. They were thorough (missed nothing) and used top quality products. The paint was evenly sprayed and generously applied. At no time did I get the impression that the crew was in a hurry; they stayed as long as it took to get the job done and to do it well. Moreover, they were more than willing to take as much time as necessary to address my many questions and periodic check-in's for status. Alex's crew also did some repairs on the roof of my deck. (one of the reasons I chose this company was because they have a lot of experience with roof repair.) There were a few leaks due to water coming through nail holes in tar paper that were causing the wood to rot. I didn't want to have the house painted if this would happen again. I give them an "A+" for the work they did on the roof. When Alex first came to the house to give me an estimate for the paint, he explained the need for roof repair. Since I couldn't see the roof from the ground, he climbed his ladder and recorded a video with his phone so I could see what the roof looked like, identifying the source of the problem, which was pretty slick! At the start of the roof work, George (Alex's dad) called me outside to show me what they were doing and how they were going to do it. I was truly impressed by their attention to detail. The products were generously applied from edge to edge. No shortcuts. My impression was that they did as good a job on my house as they would their own. My experience with Alex/George and the crew was very positive. The crew was very thorough in their work, and in spite of the heat, they seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing, which speaks to how they are treated. There is no question that they take a lot of pride in their work. It is refreshing to see a contractor dedicated to providing a service and standing behind it with integrity -- and integrity is so hard to find these days.

George came out and game me a estmate on painting house and wall. The painter came out on Tuesday and finished on Wednesday. They did evenything George put one estmate pluss alot more. We are more then pleased with the job done. I would recommend to everyone.

If you need a dependable, honest painter call Alex Mcmillan Painting. I contacted Alex because my home was in desperate need of repainting. I left a message for Alex who promptly returned my call the same day. I explained over the phone that I had just had the house painted five years ago and didn?t have a good experience with the prior painter; paint was peeling all over the place. He said he?d come out to the house to take a look and give me a fair estimate. We set an appointment for a day later in the week that worked with my work schedule. I figured he?d come out and give me the same story all the other companies had given me and that the experience would leave me with a ?used car lot? feeling when he left. I was mistaken; Alex put my mind to ease. As he walked around the house, he provided insight to what errors may have happened in the past to cause the previous painting disaster. He thoroughly explained what steps he would take to prevent the same events from occurring. He also explained the products that he would use, what they did and where he would buy them. Once he left, I knew I was going to use his services and that my search for a painter was done. Alex emailed me an estimate a few days later that described everything we discussed. My husband and I went through the estimate and then realized we forgot to ask a bunch of questions. I called Alex and he spent an entire half hour on the phone with me answering all my inquiries. After that phone called, I signed the contract and sent it off to Alex. We did not have to pay a deposit; we paid when the project was complete. Alex wanted to make sure the work done was to our satisfaction. The painting crew arrived promptly at 8:00am as they said they would. Alex too arrived and explained the steps of the project again so my husband and I understood what would happen. The amount of prep work that needed to be done was incredible and the crew worked very hard to make sure it was done correctly. Each day they arrived bright and early to get started and stayed until it was almost dark outside. They also cleaned up the site before heading home every day. As a side note, the guys were super friendly and were truly hard workers. One of the guys had been working for Alex for over eight years. That meant a lot to me because the crew obviously liked working for Alex which speaks volumes for the type of person that he is. Alex also made it a point to stop by each day to see how things were progressing. On the last day of the project the crew picked up all the equipment and debris leaving the property cleaner than before the project Our house looks awesome!!!! I could not have asked for a more professional, thorough person to hire. I have passed on Alex?s name and number to several friends and will definitely use his services in the future.

Excellent experience... before, during and after the job was done. George (Alex's father) took care of us during the whole process. He was responsive to all our questions including giving us a written very competitive quote of the work to be performed. He made great suggestions on the paint colors and types. Not pushy, just informative, helpful and responsive. His crew painted several samples for the pop-outs for us to consider. You may be able to find a cheaper quote, but in my opinion you will not find a higher quality of work and materials. The prep-work was very thorough and cleanup left the entire house and property looking great. Our neighbor was so impressed he is having them come by to work on his house as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them or work with them again. Great company and great crew. -Eric

They returned a couple days later to see if I had made a decision. I said I had been looking for a written quote laying out all that would be done for the price. They said that they did not do written quotes but they went to their truck and wrote up a simple quote that did not detail all that I had been told orally. There had been some repairs that had been included in the original oral quote that I wanted to see in a written quote. The repairs were not included in the written quote, only the painting and the price. I like to see in writing what is going to be done for the amount of money being spent and since they did not feel it necessary to give written quotes I chose not to deal with this company.

Nothing but the best. Expert work. Very happy with my newly painted home and pool deck. He used a special paint on the house that resists dirt and cleans itself went it rains. He was on time and you can really trust his word. He may be a tad more expensive than other contractors, but it is more than worth the money. I even had a mishap with my account when it was time to to pay him that he patiently waited out until it was resolved. Can not say enough good things about Alex.

Alex is a true professional and a perfectionist who gave me a bottom line bid immediately and performed all aspects of the estimate without fail. His three workers showed on time each day, were courteous, respectful and demonstrated a thorough knowledge, skill and ability to get the job done perfectly. There is a reason why McMillan painting has all A's, because the reviews are spot on. I will have them back in the fall to take care of my Kool decking without any reservation.

Alex McMillan and his crew of 10 years were phenomenal! I have hired many contractors over the years and this experience with Alex McMillan painting has far surpassed any experience I have had to date. My home looks amazing and like new. From my initial phone call through the last coat of paint, Alex was patient, kind, reliable, knowledgable, trust worthy, and delivered exactly what we had discussed. Having painted many many homes in North Scottsdale, he knew more about what our home needed than we did. He never took a short cut. Even when we weren't watching. Alex used top of the line paint and a very professional, friendly, respectful crew. They never tired of us " just dropping in" to check on the progress. I would not hesitate to rehire or recommend Alex McMillan, a true contractor!!! I can not day enough to his high level of craftmanship and his character! Thank you, Alex for taking care of our new home that needed quite a bit of work..

Very nice and knowledgeable to talk and do business with. Owner provided estimate to paint the house, fix an apparent edge leak of the roof (noted by rotten board) and replace trim around garage doors. Also said he'd include painting gate. The work was all excellent. Only problems I had were some confusion on my part about exactly what the roof fix entailed and communication issues which I'll discuss in detail. First, we noted the rotten board on the edge of the garage but saw nothing anywhere else. Alex quoted me a reasonable price to repair it, and I assumed that meant fixing the leak and replacing rotten board. When work commenced, I was out of town and had to hear on the phone that it could be patched or totally repaired (for a lot more than quoted). I couldn't see it and went with Alex's recommendation to patch it now and repair it when the roof was ready for a complete renewal. While the patch hasn't been tested by a good rain yet, the patch came in under budget. I wish I had been on the same page as Alex about what his quote to repair it had meant, but I certainly share in any blame or misunderstanding of what was going to happen. Second, I downgraded punctuality to good because communication could have been better when things changed from schedule. Some of the paint and equipment was dropped off at my home on the day work was to commence, but nothing else happened for a couple of days and no one knocked on the door to tell us they were there. Again to be fair, I told Alex I would be out of town and didn't really care about when the work would happen, but I think if he or his crew are at your home they should at least knock or call first. I also noticed after the job was finished and paid for that the gate had not been painted or the garage side door trim. Again no deal breaker and when I contacted Alex he was very responsive and agreed to make it right, but these little details are what affected my grade. Again I could have noticed these things while he was here and didn't so I learned something from the experience too. Still, Alex could have just ignored me after being paid and that couldn't be further from the truth of what happened. I like Alex and he is a pleasure to deal with. He is honest and although busy goes the extra mile to make sure the job is completed to your satisfaction. The work accomplished is of excellent quality in my opinion, in fact I recommended him to paint my mom's house. Again some additional issues occurred and Alex dealt with them personally and helped get some internal home repairs done by outside contractors at very reasonable cost and of excellent quality. I would not hesitate to recommend Alex to my friends and family.

They were excellent. They're punctuality, professionalism, cleanliness, price and quality stood out. They were really top notch painters. Not of drop of paint anywhere. They covered everything and taped everything before painting. The price was good compared to other quotes that I got. They gave me a good price because I was on the corner. They painted my little fence for no extra money. They use a really good quality brand of paint. They said they would be here at 8 and they were here at 7:59. They were very punctual. They came back the next day and did touch ups on the painting and picked up the trash.

This was a smooth process with no issues.

I contacted Alex in the spring for an estimate. Due to vacation plans and a subsequent health issue I had to put off the job for 5 months. When I called Alex, he met with me and scheduled the job for the following week and honored the original estimate. He and his crew did an excellent job and were very professional. I plan to have him repair and paint my kool decking next. I would definitely recommend him. He was a pleasure to work with.

I was very fortunate to have a neighbor recommend Alex to paint my house. I am new to the area and had time constraints to work with. I also have all of the HOA rules and regulations about colors and such to follow. Alex responded immediately to my inquiry and was able to start and finish in very reasonable timeframe. Alex worked with me on color selection by bringing me all of the HOA pre-approved options and even painting sample patches of colors and finishes for me to see. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the job and was willing to answer all of my questions. I had spoken to several painters before him, so I had a good idea of what they suggested and what it would cost. Alex was doing more and charging less than the others. I also had some issue with a flat roofed addition on my house and he was very helpful at examining the roof, testing it with the power washer and making some minor repairs. He was easy to work with, met my time constraints and in all respects did a great job.I would be very happy to recommend him.

I had recently moved to Az and McMillan Painters were recommend to me by my realtor, who had them paint her home. I could not have been more pleased. From my very first meeting I was very impressed. They are very professional, they explained what needed to be done with my home, which I would like to add, that moving here from the Midwest, was all new to me. They did such great job on the outside I had them paint the inside also. Well now my home is the best looking house on the street. Thanks to McMillan Painters I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about having any painting done.

Choosing paint was discussed the first day and the crew began prepping. Two days later, after constant work, painting began . Non-stop work, and two days of painting, a wonderful transformation of the exterior was completed. The next day, the interior was taped off, one area at a time to allow us to a comfortable living experience while work was being done. Never did we feel put upon. The crew moved all of our furniture, covered our bamboo floors, and never once had so much as a drip on the floor or carpet! Friends and family plan on using Alex when they begin painting. We are thrilled by the clean look in our home and exterior. You owe it to yourself to get in touch with Alex when considering a paint job.

These guys are hard workers! I was amazed at what it takes to get a single-level home ready to paint. Along with the power washing and the masking they had to to pull back the landscaping, rake the gravel away from the foundation and move and cover all my patio furniture and storage bins on the side of my house. It was trash and recycle day while they were here and they even made sure that my trash cans weren't obstructed by their work truck. Very considerate. Great job on the painting, I should have had it done by them years ago!!

We received a full and complete estimate/contract of what was to be done and total cost. No deposit or up front fees were requied. We did not pay anything until after all work was completed, inspected and we were completely satisfied with all aspects of the job. Crew did an excellant job in preparing all surfaces for repair and paint. They were very quick, professional, quiet, thorough and cleaned up extremely well. We are very satisfied and would highly recommend them to neighbors, family, and friends. Service was performed at our home in Maricopa, Az.
