+ -1 moreTime spent on job was about 2 hours and we paid whatever he charged as he did not give an estimate.
Description of Work: We could not open garage door in the morning. The technician said the springs (we only had one) are broken and offered to replace them. We agreed. He did, working with a heavy hammer to fix the tracks and finally said it's done. Labor guaranteed for 30 days, springs for life time.

+ -1 moreTHE TECHNICIAN CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED THE CENTRAL PROBLEM AS A SPRING ADJUSTMENT, WHICH CAUSED THE MOTOR AND GEAR ASSEMBLY TO FAIL, BUT RATHER THAN LOOKING TO SEE WHICH PART HAD FAILED, HE MADE A GUESS (COUPLING) WHICH PROVED TO BE WRONG. THE DRIVE BELT HAD FAILED.
Description of Work: THEY DIAGNOSED THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER FAILURE, AS THERE WAS A SPRINGS ADJUSTMENT PROBLEM, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED THE MOTOR DRIVE TO FAIL. THEY TIGHTENED THE SPRINGS.

+ -1 moreCalled several garage door companies & none could come out for at least 5 days. This company was able to come out the next day. A rep from AAA Allstate Garage Door arrived, it appeared they subcontract the work to them. They came as scheduled & ordered a garage door and opener to be installed a week later. They waived the service call & gave a cut on the garage door opener. They came a week later & said the garage door would not fit, the upper tracks would hit a wall running parallel, the wall had to be notched or moved to make it fit. No argument could make them install the door. I proceeded to cut a slot in the wall & they came the next week to install it. Now 3 weeks into this ordeal, they showed up 4 hours late. They installed the garage door and proceeded to cut out more drywall to put in the hanger for the track also. I went back and moved the track and brace over 3 inches, patched, retextured, and repainted my wall. It never needed to be cut to make the garage door work.
Description of Work: I just moved into a house and needed a garage door replaced on the 3rd bay and an updated garage door opener on the double car garage.

+ -1 moreTHE MAN THAT CAME TO OUR HOME CAME VERY QUICKLY. WE COULD NOT GET OUR GARAGE DOOR UP OR DOWN & NEEDED TO GET OUR CAR OUT. HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO CHECK THE DOOR TO SEE THAT ALL OTHER PARTS WERE IN WORKING ORDER.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED THE LIFTMASTER GEAR & THE SPROCKET KIT IN THE OVERHEAD DOOR ASSEMBLY. ALL THE HINGES & ROLLERS WERE TIGHTENED, ALIGNED, & LUBED.
