Desert Foothills Gardens Nursery, Inc.

It did not go as we had hoped and was very disappointing. Lou, the managing landscaper and foreman for Desert Foothills Nursery for my particular job, showed up only 3 times over two days and only for about 5 minutes at a time while the job was being done. The men were pretty much left on their own as Lou was absent. Once the obvious stuff was done, I had to manage the team myself and tell them what I thought should be done. I did not want to do this but it was necessary as they would have wasted time for which I was paying. I expected much more from the managing landscaper. I hired Desert Foothills Nursery for their expertise and got none of it. It was very disappointing. When it came time to be paid, Lou arranged to come to the house, we waited home and he didn't show up and didn't call. We arrange another time, we waited home again and again he didn't show up or call. When I told him that we were upset by his lack of professionalism, he made a new appointment and kept it. As WE had managed the project, we knew how many hours we should be charged. When he came with the bill, the hours were higher. I don't know how he knew how many hours the men worked considering he was not managing them. We were very reasonable and paid about 9% less than the amount he wanted. I could not recommend them to anyone. As mentioned, we will not use them for the other phases . Maybe Desert Foothills Nursery has other managing landscapers on the payroll that are better. I don't know.
