+ -1 moreI needed my computer to be serviced after I went to a bad site and got locked out. It was 2006 I found Rob-A+ Computer Service in the AZ Republic, we made an appointment for later in the day. Rob came to the house and was able to fix my computer after 2 minutes looking at it. Rob was really cool about letting me know what I did to get into trouble. We also looked at putting some anti virus protection on my system and the great part was they were free sites. I felt great about the service and tutoring he offered me. Very reasonably priced, I had no idea how much the bill would be but I was happy to pay $100.00. A+Computer Service has been my service ever since. Rob is very attentive and is passionate about his service, He answers his phone, he can install a remote in your system or he will just come to the house. Always available to help his clients.

You see, I have enough computer knowledge to be dangerous. Rob gives me peace of mind. Whatever computer difficulty I get myself into, Rob gets me back on track. Rob truly knows how to fix, upgrade, and walk through any computer issues I have in the past and in the present.

+ -1 moreRob was punctual, courteous, efficient and very helpful. I highly recommend him. He worked quickly but always took the time to educate me. He was knowledgeable, creative and solutions oriented. I have two computers and he installed FireFox, then, transferred my favorites over from Chrome and Internet Explorer. He installed a free anti-virus and free disk defragmenter. Also, he deleted unneeded files and did some maintenance. Also, he is quite knowledgeable about hardware so, the next time I buy a computer, I am going to consult with him first. Five Stars.

+ -1 moreI have so many good things to say about Rob, I scarcely know where to begin. From my first phone contact with him, he was kind, compassionate, patient, and understanding. I am an analog woman in a digital world, and he did not treat me like the village idiot because I don't know my modem from my motherboard. I called him on a Monday, he was able to come out on Wednesday. When I opened my front door, I was greeted by an incredibly well-groomed adult, He confirmed that my monitor was, indeed, deceased, as well as the video card in my computer - and then proceeded to fix my 10-year-old computer, saving me the expense of buying a new one. He wrote down the type of monitor I needed to purchase, and so clearly and patiently explained to me how to hook it up that even I was able to do it! I am writing this review on my now fully functional computer - thanks to the wonderful Rob! I cannot recommend him highly enough - what a great privilege to encounter such a professional and honest gentleman in this era of impersonal and disinterested customer service.
Description of Work: My monitor had gone completely black, rendering my computer useless. I was afraid I was going to have to buy a new computer.

Description of Work: I have a Dell Inspiron desktop that I purchased in April, 2014 (pre-loaded with Windows 7), that I started receiving 'user profile service load failure' error messages on. The first couple of times, I was able to recover via restarting in 'safe mode', but the next time that it happened, I could not recover on my on and I was unable to log-in and use my PC. I researched Angie's list for computer repair services, and found A+ Computer Service. The reviews were terrific, so I gave Rob Schmidt a call. He promptly responded to my voicemail, and we set-up an appointment for him to come to my home. On the day of the appointment, Mr Schmidt gave me a courtesy call when he was on the way, arrived promptly, and got right to work. He is a very knowledgeable, professional person, and very easy to talk to. He had the 'user profile problem' fixed, downloaded some free routine maintenance apps, showed me how to use them, and suggested a weekly maintenance schedule all within less than an hour. His fee was more than fair, and I appreciate his terrific work ethic!

I needed someone who had more than just a basic level of knowledge with computers and networking. Rob (the owner) came to my residence and in a short amount of time, I was up and running. Rob also checked on other browser issues, i.e., "Blue Screen of Death", Windows IE vs. other browser possibilities, and slow network connectivity issues. Highly recommend.

+ -1 moreYesterday, my wife stumbled onto a virus that took control of her pc. We are relatively new to the area and didn't know who to call. We checked Angie's List and found A+Computer Service. I called the number and spoke with Rob. I explained the problem and he said he could definitely help. He was at our house in about two hours and a little over an hour later, my wife's pc was clean and running better than ever. I asked Rob a couple of questions about my six year old laptop and he offered to take a look. What he found was a complete mess. After downloading some free software, doing some clean-up, ridding my machine of useless and possibly dangerous programs, it was running better than it has in years. Rob was obviously very knowledgeable, pleasant and fun to work with. I would not hesitate to contact him regarding any computer issues I may have in the future.

+ -1 moreI have had computer service several times mostly through Best Buy but also through an add I responded to. In all cases I had to bring my computer to them, be without it for up to a week and pay a lot of money. The worst part was I didn't know what they did or how to operate the protection devices they installed. Not so with Rob. He came to my house at the time he stated cleaned everything up and explained to me what he was doing. He gave me some tips and even installed a remote help button if I get stuck. He came back a second time to install more RAM at a very reasonable price. I have his card hanging by my desk and he is my new go-to guy for my computer.
