Odell Complete Concrete

The estimate was too much and wanted us to hire a separate person to disconnect the Air conditioning. The contractor we picked didn't require that.

This was an excellent experience. These guys were dependable, pleasant, cooperative and ideal to work with. They even recommended a top notch landscaper for me.

The technician came out and provided an estimate for the concrete service. It was a specialized project for stamped concrete. I did not go through with their service because the estimate was higher than I expected. The technician was very pleasant and showed up on time. He knew what he was talking about and scheduling was very easy.

It went really well. He was punctual and polite. The work turned out great! He even re-screened and fixed the latch on our screen door as a favor.

It went fine. I haven't had any work done yet, but they did come out and do the evaluation.

Sent ODell an email. He responded immediately. Came out next day and gave an estimate. He then came back the next week and poured concrete in one day. Did a beautiful job.

David is very professional and focused on doing the job right the first time. The quality of his work was excellent. The lawn looks great, the sprinklers cover the lawn completely on the timer David installed for me. The low retaining wall he put up for me looks great. He did exactly what I wanted and did it well. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing landscaping services. He is coming back out to give me an estimate on my front parkway. Believe me, if I was not happy with his work, he would never come to my home again!!

I appreciated greatly the professionalism with which David completed the work on my backyard; I'm very pleased with the results. Perhaps even more important, I appreciate his honesty, which saved me $$$$ more. My original intention was to have him also tear out my front sidewalk and replace it because of several large, ugly, dark stains which developed in the concrete over a period of years. He had a simple, inexpensive solution: vinegar applications to the area. It worked!

They responded to my email request for a quote quickly. They came out within a couple days to see the projects and submitted a quote by email the same day. They were professional, seemed to know what they were talking about and had several options to offer on the projects. I didn't use them but would certainly consider them in the future.

On May 10 , 2014 Owner David Odell contacted me to set up an appointment because of my purchase of Angies List Big Deal. My appointment was for Mar 17. David arrive ahead of the appointment time. We discuss my project which was to remove a patio, walkway out to the driveway and minor repair of existing brick wall and place a circle around to fruit trees. On the same day he e-mail his quote and it was accept. The work started on Mar 18 and was complete on Mar 25. Throughout this job David and his crew were always arrived ahead of there start time each day. I wish more contractors were like David he answer all my questions and made suggestion on how the finished project should look. He was easy to work with and always professional. The one thing is that he was always on site each and every day and on time. I would highly recommend David Odell for all your contract work. He will be the first that I call for future projects.

I did not hire him due to the expensive price. I am hoping for a refund from Angie's list.

I received a response that I was out of his service area and "If you could quadruple the amount of work being done, I could see a reason to go that far." My response was: Quadruple... wow that's a bit much, and I have to say not the most professional response. This sort of feels in some way like a scam. The reason I say this is because there is nothing in the fine print or anywhere in this listing of the deal itself that says the service are must be within a 30 mile radius of your location. A simple, Thank you for your interest, unfortunately you are outside of my service area would have sufficed. That, while unfortunate, I understand. If you want to stick to your 30 mile radius service area then it should be listed in the fine print. The response to this was: "I agree." There were *no exemptions* to locations on the listing. If it indicated on the deal that prospective customer must be within a 30 mile radius of a specific location or live in certain cities, I never would have purchased the deal to begin with. I'm not giving him an F because I truly do appreciate that he responded to my purchased deal extremely quickly. I can't speak to his service as we obviously haven't used him, only to my feelings that telling me that in order for me to use the deal I purchased, I should spend approximately $25,000 (taking the base price for the work based on the deal and multiplying by 4) when I only need the services for which I purchased the deal, was not appropriate.

Dave Odel responded immediately to a call I left that I needed help with this floor as soon as possible. I think I called on a Friday and Dave came on a Monday to look at the floor and began work that day. The following day, Dave poured the floating floor and worked with another contractor we had painting, a so we could keep on our tight schedule.. The floor turned out great at Club Pilates in Costa Mesa, CA and we could not have laid it without this step in the process! I was impressed Dave called later to see how the floor turned out and recently stopped by to see how it looked and if everything was still acceptable. I would definatelly use his services again.... he did an awesome job. Thanks.... Chris & Britt

David was very professional and courteous. He actually showed up a couple of minutes early for appointment. He listened to what we wanted done and took measurements. He said he would get an estimate to us shortly. We had it within hours. I had a few questions about the estimate and he immediately responded. I would not hesitate to use his service in the future.

David Odell was great. I would highly recommend him. The work looks great and he didn't leave any mess behind. Thank you for a stress free experience with you!

This is to correct my original review that was my error. I was mistaken in the original estimate. David Odell did an outstanding job and I am embarrassed that I was wrong in my initial assessment. Please make sure to negate my initial review so David can maintain his excellent rating, he deserves it. Thank you, John Benigno.

We were satisfied. The guy was very courteous. He showed up on time and did a good job. We were happy with his work.

They did an excellent job and we were very happy with it. My husband dealt with them but he relayed everything to me. The guy who came out was very friendly, very courteous and kind. He was very prompt about everything. He did most of the work himself but he did have some help in the removal of the old concrete but it was very timely. For the minor work that he did, his price was very fair. He was punctual about meeting my husband there and giving him an estimate and being on time. He was excellent and really good to work with. I would absolutely consider hiring him again in the future.

David was polite, Professional, and great to work with. I did some of the work mysellf and I wanted to make sure i was doing it right. One call to David he stopped by latter that Saturday afternoon. gave me some suggestions and could not be happier with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Odell Concrete for your project.

I couldn't be happier with the professionalism displayed by David & his crew. I had a few design changes which David went over with me & also came up with a couple I hadn't thought of to maximize overall usage & curb appeal. David & crew arrived at site on or before schedule. We are very happy and plan to use Odell again for more home improvements.

Wow, what an easy backyard remodel they made for us - contacted them, came right out and gave us an estimate. Started work about a week later...arrived on time, cleaned up everyday. When we ran into unplanned "issues" they let us know right away, told us the change in plans and pricing and everything ran so smooth. Too bad other Angie's list contractors can't take some of their professionalism and just basic common sense in how things are supposed to be done! If you have concerns about hiring a contractor that can do everything - Don't worry about Odell - they ROCK!!!

He turned out right away and he was very courteous. But his bid came out significantly higher than the other company that I went with.

It turned out beautifully. David did a wonderful job. I love it.

It was a positive experience. They gave me a fair quote in a timely manner and they showed up on time. I just had a budget issue so I did not use them.

Everything went well, great job done. Dave was very good about answering all my questions. It wasn't´t the best price estimate I received, but when I talked to Dave before the job began, he seemed to really know his stuff, and based on other reviews I read here, I decided to choose him. Also, he is just around the corner from where I live, so this made it easier on both of us. He started when he said he would; he and his assistant worked really hard, and he finished when he said he would. I was delighted because I have a little dog who needs to go outside to the patio. My only complaint is that my white fence and patio glass doors got splattered with mud and the fence with cement. Dave cleaned up everything outside the patio, but the mess inside was left for me. Overall, I do recommend him.
