Smiling Dog Landscapes

The work was not successful in stopping erosion. There has been very little attention to the failure of the project and I feel that the solution will not be addressed. I have given up at this point.

Service was generally good with the exception of response time and following through with the work. Response was less than timely. The final agreement in the project was never completed.

It went well and they finished ahead of schedule.

We wish to express our complete satisfaction and elation of our new yard. Smiling Dog Landscapes, has taken our outdated, tired front and back yard and transformed it into a clean, warm, inviting bit-of-paradise. We are so pleased with your recommendations on the, plant selection/placement, landscape architecture, and lighting. Our vision was to have a resort like effect, and Smiling Dog Landscapes has met our vision. Working with the Smiling Dog Landscapes Team was a pleasure. The Team were on-site when scheduled, accommodated requested changes, and shared knowledgeable about what was being done, and why. Debi and I were always kept informed of events to take place, and things to observe in the plants selected. Completion of the project, was bitter-sweet. Deb and I have come to know each of you (Tom, Adam, Bill and Heather) and enjoyed visiting and working with you. A special thank you, to Adam, for his attention to the daily tasks, and incorporating our wishes, in obtaining our vision. And also, to Bill, providing lighting and planter tips. You are all missed, and are remembered with every glimpse of our beautiful yard. We hope to see each of you in the future, for our landscaping needs.

They always do an excellent job. We have been using them for years and are very impressed with their service.

The service rep did a great job. Showed up at exactly the scheduled time, checked in, and then did the work. Returned the landscaping to the condition it was in before he did the work. Over all - excellent job.

Heather was the contact. It was roughly one month after initial call before she visited our property. During the visit she walked around the property, listened to our request for a landscape design plan, said she would get back to us with a preliminary design. After contacting her on several occasions over 2-3 weeks she finally said she'd been very busy, apologized and said she would give preliminary drawing at no charge and we could continue refining from that. We haven't heard from her or seen a plan..

Specifically I asked to make sure the system was working properly on the plants and NOT on the lawn as it was to be dug up and house re landscaped in near future. Paid $50 to have system checked, another $205 to repair five leaks and set the timer. A month later when I visited the still empty home, noticed many plants in water distressed condition, some dead from lack of water. The neighbor told me the street was also flooded shortly after I had left and ANOTHER landscape company driving by shut off my water for me. I Called Smiling Dog and the owner showed up to show me what was done and how the system worked. Well, it didn't work, none of the valves to the pants would open or had major leaks to them with no water flow to them. The only valve that did work was the lawn! which I specifically asked to be shut off. The owner was embarassed and had his foreman come by to repair with an hour of free labor, me paying for labor after that and all parts, another $235 dollars Again the system had a major leak fixed which was very obvious and caped off two valves. After they left, many of the drip heads still didn't work or were clogged, the timer log incorrectly was labeled and the system leaked badly from the main lines. One of two valves not capped off was still stuck open. I ended up shutting off the entire system and I had used over 100,000 gallons of water in one month due to the leaks.

They treat the yard once in six months. They come out, do their job and leave. The price is competitive. There is a problem with scheduling. When you call for an appointment, they don't have a proper scheduling process. The workers are professional.

They are very good and I will use them again in the future.

It went great. Heather was our contact and came out to look at the job the day I called the office. She gave us a price and we said OK. They came the next week and started the work. Unfortunately, she underestimated the job and there was a whole lot more that needed picked up. They stood by their price and their word though and came back a few days later to get most of what was left. They did a real nice job...there was a lot of cleaning and hauling to do so I am thankful for their help. I would hire them again.

Overall, the work was average. They tended to be on the expensive side. Showed up on time and did what I asked them to do, but I have not used them again since the prices were higher for an average company. For the work they did, I could find a better price from another company.

I am happy with the service they provide. Their prices are reasonable and depend on the service they provide.

They do an excellent job. We have had 5 different companies in one year and finally found one that does great work. They are responsive. We had two trees that fell over and were over right away to fix them. They did a very artistic cactus arrangement in our front yard.
