RAD - Rite Away Disposal

One day late pick up 2 times out of 6 and one failure to pick up at all. I called this week on Wed. morning after the miss on Tuesday. I was told I would get picked up on Wednesday and they would call me back. NO pick up and NO call. I called again late Wednesday and was put on hold several times by three different people and finally was told by the manager that I would get picked up Thursday morning. NO pick up. Called yet again and was told Thursday afternoon. NO pick up. Called Friday and fired them. They lied to me on five occasions. These people deserve to go out of business.

Trash and recycle is only picked up once a week. The first two weeks the pick up was as promised. Week 3 trash collection did not occur. A call to the Tucson office the following morning was rather insulting as I was told the driver circled that the receptacle was not out. It was out. Their policy is to have it at the curb by 6 am. It was out at 5:30 am. No offer of rescheduling a pick up was made. Recycle was colleceted as scheduled. Week 4 trash collection did not occur - second week in a row. A call to the Tuson office that afternoon yielded slightly better results. An email was sent to the manager. Receptionist said to leave can out for pick up later that evening, but most likely next morning. At 11 am the next morning, still no pick up. I called the office and receptionist verified that the manager had replied to the email "done" and that the trash would be picked up. Since it wasn't, I asked to speak to the manager. I was placed on hold for a few minutes. The receptionist came back on the line, verified my phone number and said Kathleen, the manager, would call right back. An hour and a half later the manager called and told me the trash wasn't collected because I didn't roll it down to a perpendicular street. Excuse me, what? It seems their special trucks are unable to turn around on deadend streets and backing up isn't allowed. They "thought" I had been notified. Of course I had not been. The other option was to sign a waiver releasing them of all liability and allow them to make the turn in my driveway. Neither choice is acceptable. It is a shame that this company didn't check out the street before accepting my business, and at the very least, contact me to after the first pick up to let me know there was a problem. I have asked for a refund and was told it would be processed. If you decide to try RAD, please ask these questions BEFORE cancelling your current service provider.
