I am pleasantly surprised to read good reviews for this vendor. I have not had a positive experience and my experience is still ongoing with the same negative response from this vendor. My AC broke on July 19, I contacted the home warranty and they assigned my ticket to JJ Fire and Ice. I called them the following times 7/21 @ 7:04am 7/21 @ 7:07am 7/24 @ 2:56pm 7/24 @ 2:57pm 7/24 @ 2:58pm 7/24 @ 3:13pm 7/26 @ 3:44pm 7/26 @ 3:45pm 7/27 @ 8:53am 7/27 @ 9:01am 7/28 @ 2:09pm 7/28 @ 2:10pm 7/28 @ 2:21pm 7/28 @ 3:53pm 7/28 @ 4:05pm 7/28 @ 4:07pm 7/28 @ 4:20pm 7/28 @ 4:21pm 7/28 @ 4:25pm 7/29 @ 1:07pm 7/29 @ 1:08pm 7/29 @ 1:09pm After this, i gave up and my husband took over the calling. I have again tried calling them over 10 times this morning since 8am and its now 12 noon. Also to add insult to injury, the home warranty told me that they are too many red tapes in trying to switch me over to a different contractor and that it will cost additional money. Finally a technician showed up to take a look at the HVAC last week. He was very disinterested in the work and was very irritated in answering any questions that my husband was asking him. I leave in AZ and imagine being in 110+ degrees of heat with no AC in the last 3 weeks. I still have no AC and after calling them 10+ times this morning and no one is answer. I am pleasantly shocked to see reviews of same day services and on time appointments when between home warranty people, my husband and I, we have called the 480-671-7623 number over 50+ times for the last 3 weeks and have probably gotten to talk to a life person only about 3-4 times. I still have no AC and no updates on what is going on with my AC repair claim ticket and not able to talk to any LIFE individual.

My aircon blew on a day that was 108 degrees. They came out next day, pleasant, professional. Diagnosed and replaced a capacitor in the system. Took 20 mins! Quick, pleasant and professional. The service call came from AHS Warranty, love JJ's.

DO NOT use this company!!! Our AC stopped working in late July, July 22nd to be exact. We worked through our home warranty service and JJ's Fire and Ice was the company that we were referred to for work completion. The company came out on Monday to provide us with an estimate and he determined that it was the condensing unit. It took 10 mins and there was no review of any of the components in the garage or house, very little to no trouble shooting of the AC Unit and other components. During the next week we tried to contact the company to understand when the parts would be delivered, what brand they were and understand the quality aspects compared to our old Lenox unit. 3 times that week, I called Patrick to understand the situation and he did not have the technical information nor would call the correct phone number. Each time I called, Patrick did not seem to understand the situation, have the correct phone numbers and was not able to relay that I needed someone technical call us with answers. Finally, James called and spoke to my husband; however, he was not able to provide the information because our home warranty ordered. James did eventually called him back and provided the information; model, etc, so we could research on the internet. On 8/9, the installation was completed by Eric. We prefer our temperature to be lower; approx. 76. The air never dropped below 80 that day. I called in the afternoon and left messages on the answering machine, asking if they would please come back and properly fix the unit and do the work that they had been hired to complete. I did not receive a call back. I called again the next day, 8/10/12 and spoke to Patrick, requesting that they come back and fix the unit. Jay showed up, spent about 15 mins there and installed a hard start. This did not fix the issue. I called back within 1 hour of his leaving and Patrick stated that he would call him back since he was in the area and have him come by. I never recieved a call back from anyone. I called later that afternoon and left another message to request for another appointment. On Monday, 8/13, I still had not received a call back. I called again speaking to Patrick, who apparently does not know how to return phone calls, and requested an appt. Wed, 8/15, Eric showed up. He diagnosed the eror as the TXU and replaced it. He told me that I needed to have a vent in my Master Bedroom in the top part of the wall to help with circulation, when I relayed that we never had a issue with the previous AC unit, he became adversarily and aggressive. I requested that he please not behalf in that manner and I tried to ask questions regarding the situation 1- why was my AC not returning air/circulating like the previous unit, 2- what will the Thermal Expansion Valve due to fix the AC problem and get my air down to 76 without running all day? He became even ruder, yelling at me, stating and quot; You have not been to AC school and would not understandand quot;. I then requested that he leave. Never, ever have I been treated so rudely, buy a company, people via phone and in person, in my house, hired to perform work in such a hostile and completely unprofessional manner. Patrick not returning phone calls or scheduling appointments, lack of acknowledgement that there was a issue after 3 times coming to my house to fix it, Eric's behavior, and it is still not working!!! What type of company and owner allows this to happen to your customers?
Description of Work: Replaced condenssor, hard start & TXV.

JJ's Fire and Ice provided exceptional service! The gentleman in the office was polite and helpful. I placed this work order through our home warranty service, and JJs called within an hour of me placing the call - which was extraordinary. They sent Jeremy out that same afternoon to fix our problem. Jeremy came when they said he would and called when he was on his way. He was very polite and personable and quickly diagnosed the problem. Because our AC units are so old, he had to travel across town to get the appropriate fan motor, but came back later that same afternoon with the right part and fixed the problem. Again, he called when he was on his way and came when he said he would. I was a little apprehensive because I had read a negative review from a few years ago about JJs which, in particular, referenced a young technician who did not seem to know what he was doing. Jeremy is a young man, but he DEFINITELY knew what he was doing! I cannot say enough positive things about JJs Fire and Ice and their employee, Jeremy. My husband and I would strongly recommend them to our friends and neighbors. I cannot comment specifically about price because we pay a $ 60 service fee through our home warranty service for the work, regardless of what is done.
Description of Work: One of our air conditioning units was not cooling properly and making a squealing noise. The fan motor ended up needing replaced.

They were very prompt at returning our phone calls. They provided excellent service and we only paid for the service call because we have a home warranty. I would recommend them.

The tech person was initially confused about the scheduled service date. He did arrive on the scheduled date. He inspected the system and sealed the unused heat strip opening in the air handler. He did not recommend any modifications or repairs and instead said the unit is operating normally at this time. This is in contrast to last year's service company that recommended $1,000 of work, and we experienced no failures in the past year.

I STARTED CALLING COMPANIES ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON, AND THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE THAT COULD MANAGE AN EMERGENCY VISIT THE FOLLOWING MORNING (A SATURDAY). THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM; THE PROMPTNESS WAS MUCH APPRECIATED! THE PROBLEM WAS COVERED BY MY HOME WARRANTY, HENCE THE LOW $45 COST OF THE VISIT. I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT WOULD HAVE COST IF THERE HAD BEEN NO WARRANTY.
Description of Work: THE A/C IN OUR HOUSE WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AUGUST. THE HOUSE WAS SWELTERING.
