Initially, plumber(Steve) came and crawled under the house and there was a "pond" from something wrong with sewage pipes. He said the pipes were rusted cast-iron and needed to be replaced. I asked how much the cost. He said he didn't know until they could get under there and see all that needed to be done. They tore the kitchen floor out to get to the pond area. I asked how much...well we don't know yet, we have to cut another hole to get over an old brick wall under the house. They did that and I then had what looked like a major construction project in my house. How much? I asked. Well looks like 4000-4800. What?!!! We had already been in a motel for several days at this time and we just wanted to get back in our house so I said to just do it. He double billed me for quite a bit of the labor. Total for whole job was 6900! another contractor looked at work said should have been about 2800.
Description of Work: Reinstalled sewage pipes, installed 3 new toilets and shower/bathtub faucet/showerhead.

A&A was sent out by Ron's Plumbing in Bull Shoals. Ron is apparently recuperating from illness and realized that were in an "emergency" situation so sent out A&A. Shayne of A&A was very helpful and showed me why a simple repair would not be possible. The electrical connections to the lower element of the old tank were shorted out almost causing a fire. Tank was too damaged to simply replace the element and thermostat. I opted for a larger tank, since it had to be replaced. Contractor had to remove part of the doorway to the crawl space in order to get the larger tank through the door. This was done at no cost. They also repaired a loose faucet in the kitchen at no additional charge. Project was completed on time and without any negatives. Did a great job, and had a great attitude toward the customer.
Description of Work: Diagnose and replace water heater with upgraded and larger tank.

We were impressed at the rough-in. The work was fast and timely. When it came time to install, the plumber was difficult to reach and cancelled twice, putting everyone's schedule off. Then when he did the install, he had difficulty with several of the fixtures. Many were from Lowe's, but the tub was a pedestal and the faucet location was different than originally plumbed for. This plumber talked about experience in 'high end' homes, but was stymied by many of our fixtures. This was a 1400sf cottage with 2 bathrooms.
Description of Work: New house plumbed, fixtures installed.
