Remodel started around April 5 with the assurance that it would be done quickly. The people that did the actual work were fantastic. Overall we are satisfied with the outcome. The floor and paint look great. We are displeased with the gas valve for the fireplace. It protrudes from the wall approximately an inch whereas it should be flush. This was brought up to the contractor every time we communicated with him but was never fixed before paint. The date of this review is Aug 31 and the fireplace mantels and tile are not finished. I marked the rating low because of the responsiveness and punctuality of the contractor. Additionally I am suspicious of at least one of the charges which seems excessive. We will NOT hire this contractor again but would hire the workers.
Description of Work: Two room remodel to include removing remnants of 100-year old fireplace, removing wall, replacing floor joists, rebuilding wall to install gas fireplace, matching existing hardwood floor, Sheetrock work and painting.
I went by their office, explained what I needed and their floor specialist called and made an appointment. He was on time, very thorough in his checking the sub-floor condition, measurements, and if I would be able to have the requested vinyl flooring laid on it without issues. I went back to the store and they provided samples for me to take back to the house to see which one I liked best. I took them back and placed the order and the appointment was made. The crew arrived on time and went right to work; didn't take but a few hours and they were done. They cleaned as they went and swept up what was left when they were done. They are VERY friendly and easy to work with and provide professional and quality work. I live in a house that is over 125 years old, so I have projects all over. They will be the ones I go to for my first quotes and more than likely for the job.

THe provider promptly came out to give me an estimate of a badly pet stained carpet. He gave me a written estimate on the spot, and scheduled an install date just 2 days later. The prices were competitive (very) and they treated the subfloor to eliminate odors. They did a great job quickly replacing a carpet for a rental turn around. Will keep this company in my rolodex both for rentals and my own home.
He did an excellent job. I haven't had any problems. He is top quality in flooring and construction.
Description of Work: They added on a new Handicap bathroom and bedroom. They did everything from bottom to the top.

Michael the owner and the install crew were very professional and went above and beyond every step of the way. They had to work around us occasionally since all the bathrooms are on that side of the house but it never fazed them. It took about a day and a half and I am sure it would have been quicker had they not concentrated on doing a first class job. They even took extra time the repairs to the existing hardwood to make it perfect. Not much to tell here except that they did all the prep work I was expecting and cleaned up completely once they were finished. and other than having a beautiful floor you couldn't tell they had ever been here.
Description of Work: They installed approximately 1000sf of hardwood in three bedrooms and closets. It had to match what was already installed in our living room and dining room since they would be connected. Michael spent a lot of time researching and went so far to find out who installed our existing hardwood 10 years ago to ensure a perfect match. My family and I removed the furniture, old carpeting and carpet strips to hold down the cost a little. They glued down the hardwood and installed the quarter round molding and you cannot tell where the old hardwood flooring is attached to the new flooring. I went over every inch looking for any imperfections but the installation was top notch. They also fixed two voids in the previous hardwood and corrected a problem with a separation in the original flooring. I would without any reservation recommend this company for any work they do based on the interaction and quality of work done for me.

The entire experience from flooring and tile selection to installation was a very smooth process. Michael was very helpful in recommending options and the price quote was in line with others we had received from other companies. The crew that performed the installation was very professional, experienced, and a pleasure to work with during the 3 day process. The work is top notch and we are extremely pleased. I look forward to working with this company again.
Description of Work: Quality Flooring installed 1100 sq ft hardwood and 430 sq ft ceramic tile in our home
The work they provided was excellent. Michael, the owner, was always available to answer any questions I had. The job was done in the timeframe I was given in the estimate and the cost what was estimated. The workers were very professional and experienced and took pride in their workmanship. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this company. They have a wonderful office in West Memphis with a vast array of flooring, carpet, tile, paint, etc.
Description of Work: I had hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, and carpeting installed throughout my 2300 square foot home. I also had all the trim, baseboards and doors painted.

Called Quality Flooring's sister company, Quality Restoration, when the pipe burst and flooded our kitchen, dining room, and living room. They responded quickly and really helped out in the clean up process, but things were not so good when it came to the flooring. My first mistake was not recognizing the fact that I was geting "cabin grade flooring, but even at that I felt the price for labor and material was not out of the ballpark. Anyway, shortly after getting the floor laid we noticed an area that was starting to discolor. I notified Quality and the owener came out to look at the imperfection. With him was a "flooring representative," but I really doubted the guy was a rep for the company that made my flooring. I was not satisfied with the results of that meeting. They told me they would get back to me, but never did. Shortly after this incident I noticed and area where the boards were coming loose from the concrete slab and a musty odor was noticable. Also, I became very ill due to the fact I am allergic to mold. Again, I called Quality and they eventually came out to look at my problem. Needless to say the Quality rep tried to lay the blame on me or my foundation for the failure of the floor. And he insisted that I pay for some if not all the cost of replacement. This of course infuriated me. After talking to other floor installers I felt it was Quality's installers that were to blame. They had to level my floor with concrete leveler and laid the floor the very next day. To make matters worse it was raining the day they laid the floor and the misture in the air and the moisture in the fresh floor patch was quite high, but they never checked the slab for moisture before laying the floor. This I found out should have been done prior to installing the floor and that the floor should not have been installed over the moist patch. Well, the installer fianlly came out and removed the old flooring and just as I had suspected there was a great deal of black mold under the damage flooring. Now that the flooring had been removed my symptoms subsided, but it still cost me a doctor's visit and medication cost. After removing the wood the moisture level was tested and the concrete patch/slab was found to be extremely wet. So, it was decided we needed to leave the slab uncovered for a few days and aloow the slab to dry. A few days turned into a couple of months and I had to call several times before I was able to get the installers to relay the damaged part of my floor. It has been about a year now since the repair job and two years since the install and we are still having issues with the floor, loose planks and the finish is coming off in several places, but as I told my wife, it would be useless to call Quality flooring because it would only upset me and run my blood pressure up. The best thing for me is to accept the fact that I made a mistake, but maybe through Angie's list I can save some one else from the frustrating experience I dealt with. Deal with Quality flooring at your own risk.
Description of Work: House Flooded from a broken water line and flooring had to be replaced, the sister company Quality Restoration cleaned up the aftermath and Quality Flooring installed my new floor. I can't really complain about the service from the restoration part of the company, but the flooring was substandard.

Response from Quality Flooring
We did do the restoration/flooring job and we did have a complaint on the hardwood flooring discoloring in a certain area, which i turned in a claim to the manufacture. The manufacture turned down the claim due to excessive moisture coming from the slab.On my own conscience and money i replaced a section of the floor to try and make them happy and have not heard from them since we did that back in 2010. I did appoligize for any inconvience that we caused, but dont feel its my fault that they have a moisture problem. We also did not sell them cabin grade hardwood and we did do a moisture test before installation.
