James came in and repaired the ceiling after the pipe was fixed. I am not 100% satisfied with the service, which he knows. He repaired the ceiling, but it isn’t flat like the ceilings in the rest of the house. You can see how the ceiling swoops downward in places, so I am going to have to get it redone by someone else. He redid the ceiling several times, but it just wouldn’t turn out.

The guy I dealt with never showed up when it was time to get the work done. He came out on a Friday afternoon for the estimation. He said that he could start the job a week after that. It was not 9 days but 16 days in the future and that was agreed upon. There was no money exchanged. We didn?t get any e-mail from him too. We got voice mail but we never got another message from him. I don?t know if something happened with his business or something happened with him. However, I do know that even in that situation, a contractor should at least give you a call. By not doing that, I wouldn?t even attempt to find him again. He did take the measurements and gave me the quote based on the materials that we had asked for. It was birch plywood and it also included the fascia trim. We wanted it to be stained instead of having it painted. It was a reasonable quote as far as time and materials were concerned. He was here when he said he would be here. I would not use their services again.

James Wood Products was recommended to us by a friend so we called them up and scheduled an estimate. Robert and Charlotte showed up on time and were very courteous and professional. Their estimate came in several hundred less than two others we had tried so we made the decision to go with them. The cabinets were done right on time and were just what we wanted. The installers were professional and made sure to clean up any messes made during installation. My wife and I decided to order the cabinets unfinished and stain them ourselves to save some money. The installers left a couple shelves at the shop on the day of installation and we had a small hinge issue on one of the cabinets. Drawers were delivered and hinge was care of within a couple days of installation. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of our new cabinets and would highly recommend James Wood Products. They will be getting our business when we get ready for the bathroom remodel. :)
