I am a repeat customer with this electrical company, and I'm even more pleased with the level of service than I was the first time. This time I needed a light over the kitchen sink replaced for my 87 year old mother. A very small job, but a very important one for he and her safety. I contacted the company and spoke with the manager. I indicated that this was to be a "birthday present" for my mom. SInce I knew it was a very small job, I was prepared to be as accommodating as possible with respect to instillation date. Instead what I got was tremendous accommodation on the part of Staley's. The manager actually went to the hardware store himself, emailed me back a number of pictures regarding selection of fixtures so that I could pick the one most like the one we were replacing. What service and what kindness on his part. His worker arrived exactly at the promised time (on her actual birthday, no less) and had the job done in a half hour. He also made a point of wishing my mom a happy birthday.

Jeremy is the best technician/electrician I have dealt with. He is punctual, efficient at his work and very personable. He even wore booties over his shoes to protect my floors. First day they came, did all indoor work as was raining outside. Kitchen under mounts, and tornado shelter and garage lighting issue were done. Technician found that couldn't put 3 way into garage as walls were packed with insulation.. So instead, he suggested using a motion detector hung from ceiling. Next time he came back (when wasn't raining so could do outside lights in back), he installed motion detector in garage. The detector worked terribly; the tech seemed more interested at the end of his visit in producing a bill than testing the motion detector. Another issue on first day here was that he accidentally disconnected my internet line in the attic. When I asked him about it, he fixed it right away. Called the owner, Bob Smith the next day and indicated the motion detector was buggy and didn't work reliably. He agreed to come out and see if they could put the 3-way switch in but it would require using some conduit line that would show in the garage. I said OK. When they came out the second time, they did install the 3-way in garage and it worked well. The switch by the door, however, was installed crookedly and needs a lot of caulk to cover up the holes that still exist in the drywall. I cannot fault them too much on the caulk, that's a minor issue, but the darn box is slanting, and looks like shoddy workmanship. That night, we discovered that one of our garage door openers, right next to where they put in the crooked box, was not working and had been working earlier that day. My spouse and I discussed the whole experience and decided it was unfair that we were charged 2.75 hours the second time to fix issue that we didn't cause (we had asked for 3-way and the contractor suggested motion detector--which turned out to be buggy so I don't think he had a lot of experience with that product). So my spouse called them to relay our concerns and ask them to come and fix the garage door opener (which they had inadvertently disconnected that day). The next day (today), they came back and reconnected the accidentally disconnected garage door opener and gave us back the check we'd given them yesterday for the extra work to redo the garage light issue. I have to commend Bob Smith for doing the right thing by refunding yesterday's work charges (and by the way some equipment charges, which he didn't need to do). He even sent me a nice hand written thank you letter. Ergo high rates for responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. But I am leery of using them again. I am positive the two salespersons (Bob Smith and can't remember the other) are quite skilled at their trade. But the second technician was getting lessons while he was here and the entiree experience was a comedy of errors. I'd prefer next time to use a master electrician who does everything right the first time. This was an awful lot of trouble, although the owners seemed to bend over backward to make things right and likely lost money in the experience.

After calling two other electrical companies, I called Jeremy and he came out the same day. Gave me a quote on the job and scheduled the job the following Monday. He and his co-worker came out and finished the job in a professional manner and did a fantastic job. I have already called Staley again to have them do a pool filter electrical hook up.

I called them about mid morning on 3/7. No emergency. They took the info and about 3 pm the same day the electrican, Jeremy, called me and wanted to come by and review the job. He quoted me a price of $150. He had all the parts needed and finished the job in about one hour. Final cost was less than $120. $30 less than the estimate. Very professional and most thorough.

We were having issues with the power in our house shutting on and off repeatedly. It was totally random, only happened in short spurts of a few seconds each and most notably, it only affected certain parts of the house. When we finally decided we needed an electrician, I joined Angie?s List in hopes of finding one with excellent reviews in our area. Staley Inc. was a company I had never heard of but they were, by far, the most highly rated on Angie?s list. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to give them a call. We were not disappointed. They had someone at the house the same day we called. They then took several days to install meters to determine the frequency and location of the outages. They determined the problem was between the meter and the breaker box. We feared our yard would have to be dug up to replace the lines. But Staley took the time to examine everything above ground first. It was determine the breakers in the box on the utility pole were corroding as was some of the wiring. They replaced the box and the wires and we have not had a problem since. The key thing about the folks at Staley are 1) excellent customer service from start to finish and 2) taking the time to accurately locate and repair the problem. Many other electricians would have replaced the breaker box, the underground wiring or even worse, the entire house wiring. I believe Staley Inc. potentially saved us thousands of dollars in inaccurate diagnosis of the problem we may have received from others. We give them five stars on all fronts and would recommend them to anyone. I assure you that they will be our electrician of choice if we ever have another issue. Thank you Bob, Jeremy and Eron at Staley Inc. for all of your help. And thank you Angie?s List for leading us to the best vendor available.

Staley Electric Company in Springdale, Arkansas has my highest acclaim and recommendation. The manager, Bob Smith is personable, helpful and very accommodating. The two technicians that came to our home, Keith and Jeremy, were efficent, friendly and knowledgeable. In short, please read my review and know that I am very appreciative of the services received.
Description of Work: I used Angie's to locate an electrician to repair a bathroom vanity light in our secondary home in Northwest Arkansas. I thought a bulb had burned out, but when I changed it I realized that the socket must be bad. Having a bad knee, I did not want to stand on a ladder for any length of time to remove the vanity fixture and attempt a repair. I called the company with the highest recommendations. The 1 (800) number connected me to the home office in Little Rock. The person immediately gave the local number for the Springdale location and stated that she would have Bob Smith, the manager at that location, contact me. He did in less than an half hour. He listened and asked if I could take a digital picture of the light and email it to him. He added that if I could not, he would stop by the house to look at the light to ascertain what his service tech would need to have with him. I emailed the picture (actually several) and he immediately called back that he would need to order a part and that he would contact me as soon as it arrived. In less than 3 days, he called to schedule the service. I had explained that afternoons were better for us in an earlier conversation. He said that was no problem because his job was to accommodate me! The tech arrived and upon removing the 3-light fixture, discovered that the wiring had corroded and fused (the fixture was in a new home we purchased in 2005). Can you spell cheap? The tech said that the light was potentially dangerous and that he would not recommend repairing it. Upon talking to the manager, he told me there would be no charge because he had not fixed the problem! Unbelievable, but true. He said I would need to replace the fixture (as well as the matching one above the other sink, if I wanted) and that he could return for installation if I wanted the company to do that. That weekend, I purchased two fixtures and called Mr. Smith on Monday morning. He had a tech in my home that afternoon. He did a fine job, including wiping the sinks of dust from the work. The new fixtures looked good and when I asked how much I owed him, he said $79.88 total!!! Two trips involving several hours; ordering a part that ended up not being needed; and several phone calls and emails all for under $80 bucks. I recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work. They are fantastic.

Everything could not have gone better. Staley is knowledgeable, friendly, affordable, professional and a locally owned business.
Description of Work: Our electricity oddly going out in certain spots of the house one morning. We called several electricians in the area. Some couldn't come out until the next day, some didn't even return our calls. Staley answered the phone, they were polite, and helpful. They arrived at our house just a couple of hours later. Turns out a bird somehow made a really nice nest in our electrical disconnect box outside the house. We needed a new grounding electrode and conductor and main disconnect box. Jeremy was so helpful, fully explained everything to us, gave us an estimate and was back at the house and short time later with the materials he needed. He worked quickly and did a great job! Another electric company had been out to our house about 7-8 months prior and gave us an estimate on "everything that needed to be fixed and/or updated". Their estimate for the disconnect box was $750. Staley was less expensive and Jeremy was friendly not pushy or rude at all and genuinely seemed to care about doing a good job and that we, his clients, were satisfied with the work.

Called Staley to check power fluctuations, flickering lights, appliances not working, etc. They had a technician on site in less than 30 minutes and found the problem was due to a loose connection on the city's service at the pole. They stayed on site until the city repaired the connection, and the connections for several houses on the same transformer. When the power was restored, there were major complications due to the power fluctuations and improper plug-in usage by myself.They stayed on site and made sure all proper actions were taken and advised me of all the needed repairs to restore service. They replaced the service to the house and checked every circuit in the house with a special tester. When power was restored they re-checked every circuit in the house and corrected some other problems that were identified. I can't say enough about the thoroughness and professional actions of Bob and Jeremy. The price was much more reasonable than I had expected and well within the range that Bob had quoted at the start. I can't emphasize enough how refreshing it is to work with a company with this level of commitment to customer service and fairness. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will absolutely use them in the future for any electrical repairs or improvements that I need.

We cannot commend Staley Electric Company of Springdale AR and give them any HIGHER marks. Upon contacting them for a somewhat challenging repair to some attic fans mid-day on Feb. 1st, Staley committed to the job 'first thing' on the morning of Friday, Feb. 3rd, 2012. They: 1.) Arrived first thing and assessed the job. 2.) Called us long distance from the job with their assessment and schedule to complete. 3.) Called us long distance in late afternoon with the notice of job completion/competitively priced bill to get our Credit Card information. 4.) Moments later E-mailed the 'paid bill' for our records to 'prove the job was done' .In short, Staley "performed beautifully" in every respect ... they did WHAT they promised, WHEN they promised, WHERE they promised, all on the same day, and ALL at a COMPETITIVE PRICE ... what more could we ask for?!?! (If ALL service providers acted THIS way, the World would be a better place!!!!)

I rate Staley as one of the more reliable and professional companies who have helped us remodel our home. We emailed them through Angie's List and got a very fast response. Bob and Jeremy came out to look at a large number of small to medium sized tasks in our home, and were willing to work on an hourly basis, which I prefer when working with reliable companies, since you don't have to set the requirements in stone before you begin and the company doesn't have to overbid to cover potential complications. I was given the option to buy my own materials or have them supplied by Staley. I have some electrical experience, so I was able to choose all of the materials myself. I had one of the area's "big name" electrical companies out a few months before and got what I felt were some dubious suggestions, including replacement of the entire electrical main box at a very high cost. Jeremy inspected it closely and said it was actually in pretty good shape. I'm extremely particular, so I basically never see work that I am 100% satisfied with, but this job came as close as any. Jeremy was punctual, professional, and flexible when we made minor changes to the plan. He offered advice how to complete things in a cost-effective way. He properly disposed of or recycled the job-related garbage. He works like a machine. Bob followed up via phone and email to make sure everything worked out and sent us a receipt for our credit card payment. You'll find electricians willing to work for a little less (and some for much more), but very few that work as professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for their overall value and quality of service. My suggestions for them would be to provide a more official final project invoice with the repair items and total costs listed (in either PDF or paper form) and to equip the employees with a small portable vacuum to clean up minor dust/debris (larger debris was handled just fine).
Description of Work: Install 3 fans using existing wiring, run new Cat6/Ethernet cable through attic/walls to 3 spots, 2 new electrical outlets, 2 new cable outlets, install 3 lights using existing wiring, safety inspect electrical main, replace 3 switches with timers or motion detectors, investigate broken switch/light/wiring and mystery switches. It was a very full 2 days of work.
