We recently purchased a small lake-side home in the Rogers, AR area; having several dogs, we needed to fence the back yard. Knowing nobody in the area, we went by Angie's List recommendations and were not disappointed with John Cook and his team. In fact, I have to say, that he exceeded our expectations all the way around. At the intial visit to survey the job and give us a quote, John showed up on time (actually about 10 minutes early) and despite the rain we walked the yard to talk about the job details. The yard is quite steep and rocky and we wanted several gates to access the yard as well as a larger gate, big enough to allow Bobcat access in anticipation of other projects in the years ahead. John made a number of key suggestions to improve the appearance and function of the final product; things I hadn't considered but made a lot of sense. When his bid came in, I was pleasantly surprised as it was at the lower end of what we were expecting. John did tell us that he was a few weeks out in scheduling and anticipated completion before the end of April (this was in late March) but this would necessarily be weather-dependant. As an aside, John is a very friendly person who clearly loves what he does - I never felt pressured through the entire process and it was clear from the start that delivering a quality product that fit our needs was the priority. Over the following weeks, much to my surprise, John called and/or emailed 3 times to update us on the planned start of the job, as a result, I never felt "in the dark" about where things stood and what the plan was. He also responded quickly to several questions I had during the process. Ultimiately, despite quite a few days of bad weather, he was able to finish before the end of April as promised. After the install, when I was first able to walk the perimeter of the fence, I was again very pleasantly surprised. While I was expecting the gates to work well, and they did, and hoping the bottom of the fence would be tight to the ground along the entire perimeter despite the steep and uneven terrain (we have a dog who likes to dig - a gap under the fence would be very tempting), and it was, the thing that really surprised me was that I didn't have to clean up any garbage. While this last bit seems to surprise many contractors to hear, as a homeowner, not to find plastic bottles, cups, sandwich wrappers and cigarette butts is unusual, but not finding construction debris that I would have to clean up is, from our experience, almost unheard of. Even more surprising is that there is woods and brush surrounding the yard - it would have been easy to toss garbage in the undergrowth. I am very impressed with a contractor who clearly treated my yard/home like it was his home and not just a work site. If there were an A+ rating, my experience with Privacy Fence/John Cook would be an A+ in price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

We have additional cost of removing tree, and tree stumps that have to be removed before any work can be done. At this time finances for this, and the fence cost had to be put on the "back burner" for now, due to another Financial Crisis that came. We advised the company and thanked them. We may consider them at the appropriate time.

From the first contact, John exhibited exceptional professionalism and friendship to me as I tried to state my desires for a fence. He came out and measured things with me and even was willing to wait a few weeks in between contact while my wife and I discussed options. He worked with us as far as affordability by allowing us the option of half down payment and the rest paid off over a 3 month period. We ended up going with a different contractor because of my neighbor installing a fence, whom I had been trying to talk to about splitting cost on the shared fence part but had never reached until I noticed a fencer was out about to install. I would highly recommend John at Privacy Fence and if I ever need a fence done again he'll be the first one I call.

Called John after hours and left a message. He called the next day and came out on a Saturday to look at the project. We discussed different options and settled on a fence layout. I called him the following week and made some final tweaks to the design. He said it would be 4 weeks before they could come install the fence. He called in two and a half weeks and said they had an opening in their schedule. The installation went quickly and looked professional. I was impressed by the quality of cedar he had for the privacy fence and the fact he used larger posts than other installers were pricing. We had a small problem with the gate, but he came out personally to fix it. Overall, they did not have the lowest price, but I feel I received my money's worth.

Things are really nice, they're pretty efficient, gave out their very best for the estimate. The quote was fair, very fair, very efficient, very nice and very professional, I would just recommend them, they were just right on time for estimate.

I had some concerns about our fence, and was looking for a professional opinion as to what repairs were needed. He came out our house quickly to provide an estimate (in a day or two), looked over our entire fence, and made his recommendations, which to my surprise and delight, were minimal! He was able to fix same day and his rates were very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend Privacy Fence, Inc to anyone and could not have been happier with John's service.

John was very responsive and extremely helpful in making suggestions to keep the cost of the fence within my budget. I explained what I wanted and John provided bid for exactly what I told him I wanted. Unfortunately, it was out of my budget so John worked with me to help me get as close to my original want list as possible and still stay within my budget. They were able to begin the installation about a week before he originally estimated. His installation crew was very nice and efficient. They arrived early and worked hard all day. They even worked when it was raining a little bit. At one point when it was raining too hard, they waited until it stopped and started working again. The installation went smoothly.

I needed 2 gates replaced along with short sections of cedar privacy fence attached to them. I received a very quick response from John Cook of Privacy Fence and had an estimate the same day. After another company failed to call back I elected to use Privacy Fence and was told they were scheduling 4 weeks out but would try to get to me sooner. Sure enough within 2 weeks John and his work crew arrived on a Friday afternoon and removed the old gates and fences and set new poles. They returned the following Monday and completed construction of the new fences and installing the gates. I elected to put in one iron gate and it was custom made and looks great. All employees were extremely professional and did an excellent job in a short period of time. John was on site supervising work during every visit and was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. He explained exactly what they would be doing and followed through with the plans. I would not hesitate to use them again and in fact may do so in the future.

They had me scheduled for a month out and because of delays on other jobs, they came 3 weeks early. They built the fence completely on site. No pre-made parts so that it was custom to my yard and its slope. Job took 2 days. One to set the posts and one to put up the fencing.

John and his crew were great. John responded quickly to our request for a quote and came out to see the area we needed fenced. We weren't quite sure what we wanted and John took the time to explain several options to us. My husband was impressed because John took a lot of time to explain the positive and negative point of each type of fence we were interested in plus explained the maintenance that would be required over the years on each one. There was no pressure to sell us the most expensive fence - it seemed like John was focused on providing us with the fence that best suited our needs. We did get quotes from two other companies, but because of how we were treated by John we went with Privacy Fence, Inc. and we are very glad we did. To our suprise John and his crew were able to get to us a week earlier than scheduled which was great. The guys who did the installation were friendly and polite. I was impressed and really appreciated how, at the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and left nothing in the yard my dogs or my kids could get into. On the day they finished the installation, the foreman came out and inspected everything with us. He double checked the cleanliness of the site and made sure we were happy with the installation. We were surpised and happy that John also called us the next day to make sure we were happy with everything. All in all this is a very professional, customer service oriented company that we would recommend to anyone.

I have a 3 year old privacy fence that needed of repair. The gate was falling off and I had several pickets that had warped and fallen off. I called to ask for an estimate and was immediately called back to schedule a consultation for the next day. They came out as promised and began the consultation. They recommended that I do the picket repair myself in order to save me money. They even tried to quickly repair the gate for free! They ended up needing to replace several bolts and the gate hinges. They did the repair on the spot and charged me only $50. I was so impressed with their attention and quick repair. They are top notch and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Fantastic job!

Awesome! John was super responsiveness and clearly has strong expertise in his field. He politely offered ideas when he could tell I was pondering a few different things. His input was spot on. Great materials and well built. I get compliments all the time and you couldn't ask for a better guy to work with. I would definately recommend him.

First, let me say that not too many companies would have worked in the terrible weather we've had recently. Not only did they work in this weather, but the job they did was superb. They were the first to give us a quote and explained in detail exaclty what they would do and when. John Cook and Hermelindo Rojo make a great team. Hermelindo is the foreman in charge of the crew and is very knowledgeable. The crew were top notch and could be foremen of any project as well. We did appreciate the free gate coupon which we generated for the Angies list site. We would absolutely recommend these folks to anyone wanting a privacy fence installed.

Within two hours of my initial call, they were there to give me an estimate. I told them to go ahead with the job, and they said they could start in a few days as they had other jobs in process. They showed up a couple days earlier than expected and completed the job quickly. John with Privacy Fence followed up with a call to thank me for the business and to let me know they had finished.

Very prompt and professional. Quality work. Came back 2 weeks later, free of charge, to add a piece because we mentioned we were worried that our dogs would get out. He didn't have to do that. We would certainly use them again and recommend them to anyone!

Superb service from the first phone call! John met me literally within the hour when I first called him. He did the estimate on site and gave me the estimate before he left. Due to some landscaping issues, the installation was delayed for over 3 months, yet John recognized me when I called and fit us right into his schedule. Coordination between the landscaper and John, and his crew, was excellent. When the installation began, his crew was fast, efficient, and professional. They are hard working, courteous, and helpful. You are certainly not cheated on the level of effort by these folks. The workmanship was first class. John uses three hinges on all his gates as well as oversized posts to hang the gates. Very sturdy and functional. We opted for a cedar as opposed to softwood fence and it looks great. It's been in about 10 days now and is aging into a nice warm brownish color that is very distinctive and beautiful. We could not be happier with the way the fence turned out. While we don't anticipate any more fencework in our lifetime, we would not hesitate to recommend John and the folks at Privacy Fence to anyone.

John and his crew were always punctual from the onset of the project until completion. Always courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable (offering several solutions to the problem). They also didn't seem to mind that I was watching over their shoulders and asking questions! I was even given a 5 year warranty on the gate frame. After the project was complete the site was cleaned up and all trash was hauled off.

Not only did we need to replace some posts to hold up the fence panel but we also needed to replace two whole panels and extra slats. The day I called John Cook promptly came and gave me an estimate. He kindly tacked up what was there to keep our dog from getting out of the yard. When they came back to replace everything, they did it in the most efficient way possible and so that it could be done with the least inconvenience to us. They were courteous and worked very hard. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything was quick and professional. They even fixed our sagging gate for us!! I would heartily endorse John Cook and the whole Privacy Fence Company!! They were awesome!

Privacy Fence did an outstanding job. They installed the fence exactly as I wanted. I am completely satisfied with the installation.

John came out and walked the fence with me and we decided to install 2 new post and a 91/2 foot gate. took out old walk gate and used old boards to replace walk gate. He had his guys come out about 3 days before dig the holes and set the post. John came out on 9/28/13 while we were gone out of town and installed the new gate

Excellent experience. John understood what we needed made helpful suggestions and prepared a quote on-the-spot. His crew arrived when promised hauled off the old material and finished on time. John followed up to see if we were satisfied. I bought the top of the line materials; could have saved some money by buying cheaper stuff. But why?

Everything--EVERYTHING--was absolutely first class. The project manifested quality workmanship; the pricing rang true and reasonable; integrity pervaded every aspect of this company's dealings. I called John and he quickly returned my phone call, scheduled a time to come out and give an estimate on the job. I scheduled a time with him to have the repair completed. John completed the repair as scheduled and held true to his estimate. I thought the price was a bit high since he was using the original fence, but the quality of service and punctuality made me feel more comfortable. I would use John and Privacy Fence again.
