Response from Precision Foundation Specialists Inc.
Please enter what you would like the response to look like:Dear Mrs. [Member Name Removed], Wow!! So based upon your recollection, the project took 283 days? Work Completed on 12/20/2016? Really? That, my lady, is a tall tale. Your ungrammatical wording is hard to decipher; however, we will try and answer every fallacious accusation you have tired to force down the current viewer's throat with disdain like a scorned woman. Your lineage of the events is somewhat amusing trying to track, back-track and then again try to figure out which direction you are going with this slanderous review. I do not want to point fingers, but mam, please, tell the facts EXACTLY how they occurred. And mam, we have never spoken to you or emailed you; nor could I tell a single Angie's List member what you look like or sound like so I am almost trying to correct a ghostly review. Our only point of contact was your through your husband, [Member Name Removed] by site visit and by electronic communique. Here is the timeline of the events as they ACTUALLY occurred and were documented through electronic communique and digitally recorded telephone calls and recorded cameras while on-site per PFS Inc corporate policy. Your husband, [Member Name Removed], contacted us on January January 19, 2016 at [Member Information Removed]:09 P.M. advancedtelemessaging.com To: PRECISION FOUNDATION SPECIALISTS INC. , Jan 19, 2016 at [Member Information Removed]:09 PM [Member Name Removed] 479)849-0208 N/A 8AM TO NOON 140 COUNTY ROAD 152 [Member Information Removed] EUREKA SPGS AR RE: HAS A LEAK IN BASEMENT, WATER COMING UP FROM SOMEWHERE. HE THINKS ITS FROM THE SEAM B/T FLOOR AND WALL. WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO TAKE A LOOK BEFORE HE PUTS FLOORING DOWN. ------------------------------- A site visit was scheduled and conducted on January 25, 2016. The site was viewed and documented with a digital camera indicating a vertical wall shear fracture 5' in height with a opening to exceed 5mm. Your husband, [Member Name Removed], specifically stated that "this is where the water is coming in". The interior concrete slab on grade was placed (installed) to the interior of the placed 8" thick concrete basement wall with no elastomeric membrane to keep water from surpassing the concrete continuous footing that the wall beared on (cold joint). This will allow hydrostatic water pressure to build up and push the water upwards through the cold joint. It was observed and measured by a Speedy Moisture meter that moisture was present. It was recommended at that time that there was two (2) choices of attack: [Member Information Removed]. High pressure direct inject the full height and length of the wall with ports every 12 inches on center over the 38 foot long wall and 8 foot tall. The price quoted in the field at that time was estimated at $10,863.00; Below is the actual copied estimate as it was written. ------------------------------------------------------------------ [Member Name Removed] Schedule of Pricing B Address: 140 County Road 152 . The alternative to give you a price point and fix just the wall fracture and seal the cold joint from the concrete floor to 3' up the wall was priced at $3,465.00; Below is the actual copied estimate as it was written: [Member Name Removed] Schedule of Pricing A Address: 140 County Road 152 . The contract was officially signed electronically by [Member Name Removed] on January 26, 2016 at 5:16 P.M. The security deposit was due at contract signing per the contract language; yet you did not provide until February [Member Information Removed], 2016 some five (5) days after signing. As [Member Name Removed] was told in the contract signing, the security deposit sets the schedule. We are a first come, first service company. As well, [Member Name Removed] was specifically told that we were four (4) to five (5) weeks out based upon our current schedule and inclimate weather always pushes the schedule back two (2) to (3) days every time it rains. Our arrival and service to complete the project took a total of two (2) days and was completed within 44 actual calendar days from contracting, late security deposit placement, material procurement and installation. The final invoice was sent by electronic communique on March 15, 2016 at 5:57 P.M. Below is the EXACT email as it was transcribed on that date: From: Precision Foundation To: [Member Name Removed] Cc: [Member Name Removed] at es.k12ar.us Mar 15, 2016 at 5:57 PM [Member Name Removed], I have attached the final invoice to this paperwork. Final receipts and warranty will be provided upon final payment. While on the project today, I noticed the following things that need to be brought to your attention: [Member Information Removed]. Concrete slab on grade in basement where we drilled and injected is only 3 [Member Information Removed]/2 inches thick 2. Concrete wall is 8 " thick and there was a 4' void directly behind the vertical fracture. 3. The Sewer line was already broken 4. The sewer line will need repair at least 2 feet into the slab. Upon placing the foam injection, we got return out of the sewer line meaning the line has been leaking for a while and there is a fracture or broken line below the concrete. The foam only reacts when water is present and instantly upon injection, the foam started returning up the line. Please process the final payment upon receipt of this invoice. Respectfully Submitted, PFS Inc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, from your "response that is true and accurate and represents your actual first-hand experience" you stated that "I sat on the bill a week or two," which was a breach of contract; however, PFS Inc never contacted you a single time asking about payment for services rendered weeks earlier. From the NOAA historical data, there is NOAA rain gauge less than [Member Information Removed]/2 mile from your residence and according to all of the scientific data collected, the following days are the ONLY rain measured at your house; yet you claim it FLOODED the day your final payment check cleared on April [Member Information Removed], 206; but there was ZERO rain for a period nine (9) days. How is that it ONLY rained at your house and nowhere else in Eureka Springs, Arkansas that day? Strange weather phenoma that only occurs at [Member Name Removed]'s house? 2016 03 19 0.03 inches 2016 03 24 0.33 inches 2016 03 28 0.01 inches 2016 04 09 0.01 inches 2016 04 10 T inches 2016 04 11 [Member Information Removed].85 inches 2016 04 12 T inches 2016 04 13 0.01 inches 2016 04 14 0.20 inches 2016 04 15 T 2016 04 16 T 2016 04 18 0.23 inches 2016 04 19 0.42 inches 2016 04 20 0.90 inches 2016 04 21 0.13 inches ------------------------------------------------ Total for one ([Member Information Removed]) month was 4.12 inches in 15 separate rainfall events during the wettest time of the year in Spring. That is some 4+ inches BELOW the area historical data average. So now we get to the "shot foam down the drain" claim. Obviously, you have ZERO clue as how hydrophobic foam exothermic reactions occurs, so here is the just of it. It ONLY reacts if there is water present and it is injected in upwards of 4,000 psi through concrete and will find ANY and ALL cracks in plumbing beneath a concrete slab on grade. Please take the time to read the email that I am sure your husband NEVER told you about; especially, the section as to how we POURED foam into the pipe. Mam, the foam is injected under high pressure through a pump into a pre-drilled 3/8 inch hole filled with an aluminum port. It cannot be "poured" into the drain. Below is the exact line items your husband was made aware of. And I find it funny that the ONLY final invoice was attached to this email. So, in order to get the final invoice, he had to have (hopefully my grammar is correct with that) read these exact line points/bullets as detailed once again below: 3. Now, you contacted us to utilize our expertise and knowledge and when we provide a full cost proposal to STOP the problem, you choose the lesser value in an gainful prayer to accomplish the same task in [Member Information Removed]/3rd the cost? This is why homeowner's should trust the professionals and quit watching DIY television shows. We gave you and [Member Name Removed] ALL of the recommendations and let you make your own decision as to the repair. And PFS Inc will NOT admit to breaking or damaging anything as the photographic evidence we still have today proves 100% that your house was not built to minimum codes, had severe structural deficiencies and was already damaged upon our arrival to the site. Should anyone want to view the actual email logs, phone logs or photographs of the project, please do not hesitate to contact us. As well, we would have welcomed an independent investigation by the Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Board; however, you never made a claim with them and you never contacted us in regards to any warranty work. Thank you for allowing PFS Inc an opportunity to respond to this fictitious review.
