Very disappointed! Meet with this company at our house to give us a bid on a new A/C and furnace back in the middle if May. The guy said he'd email back a price list later that week. Never heard back from him. I called and left a message two weeks later to check on status and still never heard back from anyone! Terrible customer service !

One of our estimators was in fact dispatched out to the site to look at a new AC system as well as a new duct system and zoning system. After the assessment of the job our estimator did let Mr Ballinger know what we he would be looking at as far as price was concerned. At that point Mr Ballinger did express that it was not something he would be proceeding with, at least not with Paschal anyway due to the cost. This is understandable given that zoning a system properly can be expensive and some owners have different budgets in mind. As a company we do not zone single stage, single speed systems. Some AC companies will in fact do this in order to hit a lower budget number. The system typically never works as the customer thinks it should and can lead to a shorter life expectancy due to the added stress. We have found that it is more beneficial for all parties involved for us to do the job properly or not at all. We would rather walk from a job rather than install a system knowing we will have issues down the road. Paschal does top notch, quality work (which does cost money) and we will not cut a corner in the installation process just to secure a job. At the end of the day it is our responsibility to do work that the customer will be happy with and work that we are proud of. We want homeowners happy with their AC system's performance and happy with Paschal as their trusted AC provider. That being said we still should have provided [member name removed] "written" estimate instead of assuming he did not want one per our conversation. We do apologize for this and assume full responsibility. As for [member name removed] ccalling the office and not getting a return call. I do not have record of this but it also does not mean it didn't happen. We do field numerous calls daily and unfortunately with heavy call volume every so often one does fall through the cracks. I would like to think that this absolutely never happens but we are human and we do make mistakes from time to time. If in fact that was the case I do sincerely apologize. Our telephone is our company's lifeline and we do not make a habit of not returning customer's phone calls. Upon receiving this review our estimator called [member name removed] immediately to make sure we were all on the same page. Our company is now performing an internal review of this matter to make sure all inefficiencies have been identified and solutions are presented to make sure this doesn't happen again. We take our reviews and our reputation extremely serious and feel that this review does not accurately reflect on how we do business at Paschal. The salesman listened to what we wanted and then spent quite a bit of time up in the attic crawling around and taking pictures. He also spent time looking at the current unit as well as intake vents and output vents in each room. He presented several options clearly, diagramming schematics and answering all of our questions knowledgeably. He was clear on pricing, and we were pleased there was no pressure to make an immediate decision. After considering other estimates, we made arrangements for services from Paschal to be performed. When the installation team of Landon, Sid, Shelton, Nick, Mario, and Amolio arrived the next week, they were extremely professional yet friendly. They put canvas down where they needed to protect the floor and were diligent about putting booties on every single time they entered the house from the attic access in the garage. They worked hard the entire two days they were here. At the completion of the job, each room was swept up under the vents. The following were provided in addition to the services agreed upon: Found a propane leak at the tank that we were unaware of. Changed out the single-wall heater flue with a double-wall flue at no charge. Put in a modern breaker at no charge One week later, Joe, a quality control/ inspector came to see how everything was working for us. He made a few adjustments with the baffles in the attic and told us to call him back over if further adjustments were necessary.

Called at 10:30am with an urgent repair ask and Paschal was able to dispatch someone that afternoon. Was SUPER impressed with the speed of Pascals response as well as how knowledgable the technician was onsite. Sam diagnosed the issue quickly and repaired with the part needed as well as pointing out a couple options to help us with this problem in the future. Last night at around midnight, I noticed that my AC unit had been running for a while, but there was little air flow coming from the vents. When I went to look at the coils they were frozen, so I shut the unit off. First thing Saturday morning I called Paschal to see if they could get someone out and take a look at the unit. They asked me if Monday was ok, and I said i would really like to see if you could get a Tech out today. I was placed on hold, and they were able to fit me in before noon! Kudos 1. I have to say Im always a little leary of service repair technicians, but when Travis From Paschal arrived his professionalism and demeanor put me at ease. He quickly identfied the issue, and took time to explain what he was doing. He gave me some suggestions on how to make it easier to replace my air filters, b/c I didnt have the hinge return air filter grille, also I learned some tips on how to keep my unit running as efficent as possible I highly recommend Paschal, And look forward to having them as a HVAC service provider. We got a quote from them on April 8, 2014. My hubby was home and he said they were very professional and friendly. We got a quote sheet that listed everything they would be doing. We got a couple more quotes, and Paschal seemed to be the best choice. On the day they came to work (April 24), they showed up on time around 8:30 am and got right to work. They laid paper on the floor everywhere they would be walking so nothing would be tracked on the carpet. I got home at 5:30 pm and they were finishing up. They tested everything, and when they found that one of the mini-splits didn't have power, they figured out where the problem was and corrected it quickly. It had nothing to do with any of their work. They then finished up and left around 6:30 pm. So everyone that reads this will know...mini-splits are a fairly new way to heat and cool your home. They hang on your wall, and no duct work is needed. They are supposed to be very energy efficient. Ours use a heat pump. The heat isn't really hot, but it heats a room. The air conditioning is wonderful. We got two mini-splits- one for our bedroom and one for the living room. They're good for smaller homes.

Very professional tech. The issue was resolved in about 30 minuets or so. A sensor was getting wet and could not fire. The price seemed a little high but I was very impressed with the service and will use Paschal again.

Came out in july or early august to replace my 10+ year old york system which had failed in summer heat. I had two estimates and paschal was the best price. They came out and put a loaner unit to get me cool quick while my new system was ordered which was sweet! Within a few days they came back with the new system and installed it. I requested for the technicians to leave all parts to the old system, as I love to tinker and wanted to check out the internals. I didn't want to hover over the technicians so I tried to give them space. When they left I went to check my basement and found they left everything but the blower (which was one of the coolest parts i bet!). Later that evening I was interested in a nest thermostat, and while browsing their website I tried the compatibility chart. It said the system was not compatible, which confused me because I was assured it was. The following day I contacted paschal to ask about the missing blower and nest compatibility. I was informed they accidentally took the blower. Apparently it had to be removed to take the unit down, and it got mistakenly tossed in the trash. No big deal, but still frustrating. I told the gentlemen that I really wanted to tinker with it, and he said he would try to get me a different one from their parts at shop. I never heard back. As to the nest, I was again told it was compatible and not to worry about it. I called back a week later after I had done a little more reading and informed them that the issue was apparently due to the use of both a B and a C wire. Not being an HVAC tech, I had no idea what this meant. I was again assured it would work, and told if I purchased the nest they would come out and install it for free. I didn't have the money at the time, so I planned to take them up on the offer later. System performed well through the summer. Fast forward to winter. At the first good cold snap I noticed my system running continuously through the night when the outdoor temp was below 32*F. My first winter bill was 50-60$ more than a normal bill. The following month I was shocked to see a bill $150 more than normal. As I inspected the bill closer I realized I used a whole 1000KwH more in dec '13 than dec '12 . I immediately called paschal and they came out the following day. I explained the issue to the tech and he quickly discovered the problem. When they originally installed the system, they mistakenly placed a wire in the B terminal, when it belonged in the E terminal. Again, I'm not a HVAC tech, but I was told this caused the system to not be able to call the heat strips to help when the heat pump was not as effective due to the cold outside temps. He corrected the issue, and in the days following the visit the system has seemed to run much less. Another issue I had was when I had the bid done, a box was checked "First year maintenance". The estimator explained that the first year maintenance came with the new system. He said it should be serviced twice per year. As the switch to winter was near I contacted paschal to schedule the first maintenance. I was told on the phone that this was only one free service, and not a full year of maintenance as I expected. I explained that my bid had said a first year maintenance at which time the lady put me on hold to look it up. She came back with an explanation I didn't completely understand. She again said I could schedule my ONE free maintenance appointment whenever I would like. I normally don't write reviews, but this experience has left me very frustrated. I understand mistakes happen, but I feel a general lack of care has been displayed. They should have known as soon as I called them to question the nest compatibility that something was wrong. I even took the time to explain why it wasn't compatible, which should have been a red flag. An experienced tech should have known the wiring and that their was obviously a problem if I had a B and a C wire. I will most likely continue to use paschal as they are the authorized trane dealer for my area. If I could do everything over, I would choose someone else to instal a system.

Sam Berg from Paschal came out, was on time and even waited from me to meet him at the house. He checked my furnance and told me that my furnance was old, and not the most efficient, but I didn't need a new furnance. He even took the time to fix the rattle in the fan of the furnance. I asked if I could pay a service fee for his trouble, and he told me there was no charge for a Second Opinion. I am a raving fan of Paschal Heating and Air.

We awoke to discover that in the middle of a winter storm with 8 inches of snow, terrible roads and 25 degree temperature that our furnace wasn't working. Called Paschal's at 7:10AM and told the answering fellow the problem. The technician called me back at 8:30 and said that he was stuck in the snow and that someone else would get to us and fix the problem that day. Jason called at 1:00 and by 1:45 he arrived. He quickly diagnosed the trouble and corrected it. Heat back on!! We are appreciative of the prompt and professional service that we received. Thank you again.

Heat exchanger was bad had Paschal and two other companies come out and give estimates to not only replace heating unit but air conditioning system as well due to the age of both units. Not only was their price one of the lower estimates they were able to start the job the next day because we had no heat. Installers were prompt but professional as well. I asked numerous questions and they never hesitated to explain all of them. Would definite use again and would recommend to anyone.

I have had problems with my air conditioning units over the past 10 years (extremely loud, worn fan blade, bad coils), so I called Paschal to give me a estimate on replacing the units. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to come out and inspect my dwelling and provide a quote. The sales associate was very professional, allowed me to ask numerous questions while he was performing the estimate, and even recommended trade-offs if I was looking to save money in certain areas. He was very enjoyable to work with, and while he was very upfront about the fact that he might not have the lowest overall price, I found the prices to be comparable based on some research I have since done. After a few days of thinking through all of my options, I called Paschal back to tell them I was ready to move forward. The were able to schedule me for that very next week to install the units. When the installation team arrived (a two person crew), they were very clean-cut, well-dressed, and professionally mannered. One would work on the outside units while the other worked on the inside. They too were very willing to allow me pester them from time to time with watching over their shoulder or asking questions about this or that. It was very obvious that this team had a lot of training, a high attention to detail, and was focused on quality. Paschal exceeded my expectation in every way. I've had the new systems in place now for over 3 weeks, and can already tell a big difference in how everything performs. I look forward to my continued dealings with Paschal.

We recently moved to Fayetteville and purchased a home with some heating and cooling issues. For starters the house had a relatively new 4 ton heating and cooling system that was seriously over-sized for the three bedroom area. We also had a 25 year old 5 ton unit heating and cooling system for the main living areas of the home that was beyond its life expectancy. Paschal's moved the newer 4 ton unit from the bedroom area to the main living area, for which it was appropriately sized, installed a new and appropriately sized , high efficiency HVAC system for the bedroom area, increased the undersized return air duct system and sealed all the return air ductwork for the bedroom area. Last, they corrected a few other issues with the air supply ductwork for the living area of our home that were discovered during the installation. When I called Paschal, I knew we had some complicated problems and I wanted to hire a company that would take the time to do it right, without a hard sell to buy the most expensive system, and pressure to do everything at once. I was very pleased with the whole process starting with Ken, their salesman, who diagnosed the issues and presented us with prioritized options, and then ending with Joe and the installation team, who worked tirelessly and professionally getting the job done right and making sure we never spent a night without AC, during the job, and cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day. I might add that this was a three day job that involved them working late - until 10 pm the first night. I was extremely pleased with every aspect of the job they did and would highly recommend them.

Let me begin by saying that I believe it would be impossible to rate any service provider in this HVAC industry as having excellent pricing. Prices these days are simply EXPENSIVE. With that said, I could have purchased a less expensive unit, but I wanted a much better SEER rating and the technology that I settled on. My story began with another service provider telling me that my outside unit needed to be replaced. I was not surprised as I had already completed some troubleshooting myself. My experience with this other service provider is that I could not get a quote for repair or replacement. That's where Paschal entered the picture. I called and spoke with Casey on day 2 of my A/C saga. Casey did not delay and came out the same afternoon that we spoke. He took time to assess my situation carefully, and on the same visit, he put together a quote and we finalized the deal. Here is where Paschal really stands out. They could not get the needed equipment in for a few days, so instead of making us swelter, one of their crews came out to get my old unit and installed a temporary loaner. It looked like it had seen much better days, but it worked! So while we waited for the arrival and install of the new equipment, we had a cool house. I've never heard of anyone providing such service. The install went extremely smooth. The install team arrived as promised, worked cleanly and efficiently, patiently answered every question that I had and took the time to explain what they were doing. When they left, the unit was completely installed, the job site clear of all trash and debris, and the unit functioned 100%. Since the install, the unit has performed flawlessly with the exception that the outdoor thermostat stopped registering for a few days. It may have been a software glitch with my thermostat. I updated the firmware and the problem no longer exists. I can say that this system performs much better than my old unit ever did. One drawback with the thermostat is how it connects to a wireless network; you must broadcast your SSID or it will not connect and it will not stay connected if you hide your SSID after a connection is established. Trane says that they have no intention to correct what I believe is an oversight on their part. I have not seen an electric bill yet, so I cannot say how much less electricity I am using. It will take at least a couple of cycles for me to see a pattern.
Description of Work: Replaced heat pump, air exchange, and reconstructed air return. Equipment purchased is the Trane XL20i with a ComfortLink II XL950 thermostat control linked to a Nexia home intelligence account (service included with the thermostat).

I called them and they came out. They were like drawing me little pictures of stuff and explaining things and acted like I really need to get this done. They were like trying to talk over your head. They have slave workers that work for them and they don't pay them as well. They work until they can't stand it anymore. They just don't treat the people right. They're just putting out everybody else and I thought, that's not how you handle business. They were very pushy.

(member name removed) called us out there to give an estimate on a new HVAC system. Her AC was completely out, diagnosed by another company, and wanted us to give a free estimate. We did just that by giving her 3 options and explaining them simply and clearly. We make it a point to not "talk over heads" or to be "pushy." (member name removed) elected not to proceed with Paschal and went in another direction. Given the fact that we did not do the job I am curious as to how we arrived at the "slave workers" observation or that we "don't pay them as well." I'm not so sure (member name removed) isn't confusing us with another company. We take great care of our employees and pride ourselves in our positive work environment. Our employees get paid top dollar, have full benefits, retirement, vacation, company trucks, etc. If you talk to any one of our employees or spend any time at our office interacting with our people you will have a much better understanding of the positive culture we keep. Everyone understands Paschal is a great place to work which is also why we have an extremely low turnover rate. If you read any one of our reviews you will understand that we take our business very seriously. Our reviews and reputation are very important to us and you will not find another company out there that works harder to take care of the customer. Our system stopped working on 7/17 during excessive heat and humidity conditions. On 7/18, after unsuccessfully trying to secure service from our home warranty company, American Home Shield, we obtained permission to call a non-contracted provider. A service rep from Paschal arrived within the hour, made several attempts at getting the compressor to work again but it was to no avail. Our heat pump and system were over 10 years old,and installing a new compressor was not an option. Casey Rowlett provided an estimate on 7/19. He very thoroughly explained all of our options and the various systems that were available. The most energy efficient option for us was the Trane Heat Pump with remote outdoor unit air source. He also checked the unit again, including the air handler in the attic, just to e sure the first diagnosis was correct. Mr. Rowlett offered to have a "loaner unit" installed for us, so that we could be comfortable while waiting for the new until to be installed. Had never heard of this before, so we were pleasantly surprised when the installers showed up that same afternoon. We had service restored that same evening. Our new unit was delivered and expertly installed on 7/24. The techs, Landon and Michael, worked diligently for over 12 hours, climbing up and down the ladder to the attic in 90 degree plus heat. They provided updates throughout the day and assured us they would not leave until everything was done and working properly. We can honestly say that Paschal Heating and Air is, by far, the most reliant, knowledgeable and professional company we have encountered since moving here in 2010. Special thanks to all who were involved in this transaction, including Ashley and Allison who patiently answered our calls and provided answers. Several of our neighbors have inquired about our service experience and they are equally impressed. Highly recommend this company and its services. Top Notch! And finally, a note to everyone who has a home warranty policy, be sure to read the fine print for replacement cost! After numerous telephone calls, each requiring 30 - 45 Minutes on hold and restating the case, we finally received confirmation that American Home Shield will reimburse us $2,500 of the total cost. Their reasoning: air conditioning units can last up to 30 years and a new unit was not required. Lesson learned!
