The guys did and excellent job. Though I found the hourly rate a little pricy, we went with them anyway. I did find, that they did not waste my time to rack up additional hours! They were very efficient and conscious of my budget. They werre there when they said they would be and respected that I was a working woman. They cleaned up when they left. I would certainly recommend these guys. I haven't had to have anything repaired in a while so maybe that's why I had sticker shock...but other than that. I would certainly call them again!

When considering workmen to come into your home I'm looking for professionals. I was put off by their lack an office worker to answer the phone..

It was superb! Communication with the company was extraordinary--prompt, professional, very customer friendly. Mike, the handyman, called the evening before our appointment to talk about the job so that he could bring supplies. That saved both time and mileage costs. He arrived on time, worked hard while here, and did excellent work. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. The price was good, too, considering all that he did while he was here.

The main thing to me was the finished job was good and the workman was on time every day. Both of these were accomplished.

I called and made an appt for an estimate, the contractor arrived on time and told me how much marble tile to buy, along with the type of grout and caulking he recommended. I went to a local store and purchased all the materials needed. I called back and made appt for installation. He arrived on time and was very pleasant, he cleaned up all the mess when he was finished. I would recommend him to others. Over all satisfied with the service. Price for installation was reasonable.

I had a very good experience. It was a little bit expensive, they stuck to their quote. We were real pleased when they finished.

One person did all of the work for us, which was nice. They are reliable and had good quality of work.

I called them based on AL recommendations, this was a big job needing three different contractors. They were very friendly and the service guy was great. Work was dome properly the first time.

We called Handyman Matters to schedule someone to come and give us an estimate. They sent Robert who was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. We had a lot of questions and he patiently answered them and made suggestions on the repairs we wanted. We received a quote right away with a breakdown of labor and materials. We called Handyman Matters to ask if we could get a list of all the materials needed for the job so we could purchase them ourselves. They had no problem with us doing that, so Robert provided us the list and we were able to save a considerable amount by doing the shopping ourselves. Robert called us the day before he was to show up and let us know he would be there at 8:00 a.m. the following morning. He showed up on time and got right to work. He did an excellent job on all the projects and took a lot of pride in doing the jobs right. Everything looks great! I am so pleased and will definitely recommend Handyman Matters to everyone. It's such a relief to finally find a company that really does what they say they will. I have had bad experiences in the past with companies that do a poor quality job or not even show up. Handyman Matters has real professionals working for them that get the job done right!

Mike was friendly and very professional. He climbed on the roof to check the screens in the fans and replace, if needed. They were still in their proper places. He also fixed soffit siding that had come down. I was very pleased with the work and will use this company again.

The answering service I got on my first call didn't get the message to the business but on my second call I was able to talk to someone at Handyman Matters directly. She was extremely polite and had an appointment set up within a few days. Jeff Robison was the craftsman who came out to look at my floor and give me an estimate. He was very professional and very helpful in giving me my options for repair versus replacement; because I couldn't locate anymore of the original tile I opted for repair. Jeff was great at maintaining communication and scheduled an appointment for the repair within a week and a half. He showed up for the repair right on time and completed everything the same day. Because I work at night this really helped with my schedule. He cleaned up as best as could be expected (you get a little dust with tile/grout removal) and left me with a great result at a reasonable price. He was also nice to my cat! I will definitely call Handyman Matters with any future home repair needs.

The crew has always been very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional in there services. I tried to call three times to get information on the services offered. The first time the woman who answered didn't even know if they charged by the hour or by the job. The second time, a different woman (I hope) took my phone number, and one of the handymen called me back within a few hours to answer my questions. I had to call back to the office, though, to set an appointment to have someone come out. The handyman arrived exactly on time, despite having to drive an hour to reach us. He answered all my questions truthfully, knew our approximate budget, and told us what he could accomplish in that time. He worked quickly and finished more than I thought he would. I am satisfied with the job he did, and would recommend him personally (if I remembered his name) to anyone looking for services. After he finished, while he was preparing for whatever he was doing next, my wife and I left the house to run errands and he noticed we were having trouble getting our garage door to close. He helped adjust that for us free of charge. All around, a great fellow. For some reason, however, he didn't want to call in our credit card for payment, but instead wrote down all our information. I thought his handwriting was hard to read, some of the 4's looked like 9's, etc. Several weeks passed without any payment coming out of our account, and my wife was afraid to make any large purchases because we didn't know when it would come out. We eventually got a second bill in the mail. I called around 4:30 PM to make a payment over the phone, and I think i got an answering service or something. They said they couldn't take any payments at that time, and told me they'd call back around noon (I think) the next day. My wife and I had plans to see a matinee around 1 PM the next day (she had a day off so I took a day off). I instead spent an extra three hours sitting at home waiting for a phone call that never came. Finally we went to a slightly later movie, and that's when Handyman Matters finally called. Obviously, I missed it. I tried calling back when I had a chance during my lunch hours, but I tend to leave my cell phone off while at work, trusting that if it's important I'll either know the number, or they'll leave a message. Not only did I never manage to reach anyone the couple of times I tried calling, but they never left a message for me, either. I'd have missed calls daily from Handyman Matters, but I didn't know it was them. I have been frequently targeted recently by my local newspaper and cable provider and my insurance company for "special" offers, and have been mostly ignoring numbers I don't recognize, what with my phone being off anyways. I would have expected someone looking for payment for services rendered that they'd start leaving messages the second or third time they failed to contact me, but this was not the case. After trying and failing to reach someone again one afternoon (was everyone out to lunch...? I don't know), I left my review on Angie's List (while looking for a plumber). Finally reached them a few days later, and the issue was finally resolved. A week afterwards I get a letter asking me to change my review. So I just now took the time to retype it. I see that Handyman Matters has responded to my first draft of the review. I don't really like feeling like the bad guy when I haven't done anything wrong (Thanks, Handyman Matters). And I'm not going to change the heart of the review just because the company asks me to. The price isn't worth the vast majority of services you'd call a handyman for, and there are cheaper alternatives if you're confident a less skilled handyman could do the job. And the office people seem confused about pricing when you initially call and then less-than-professional if you have to deal with them after the job is done. The fact that it took so long to resolve this issue was frustrating, especially since the handyman made a "mistake" copying down my information (card was sitting on the table for him to read), didn't call it in for some reason (it might have been around noon, so everyone in the office was probably out to lunch anyways), they don't accept payments at 4:30 PM (office workers probably don't work 'til 5 PM), and they didn't contact me when I was told they would (which was around noon, so they probably decided eating lunch was more important than keeping promises to clients).

We just bought a 30 year old house with some definite issues, some of which needed immediate attention. Steve Langton worked with me extensively on putting together a quote we were both happy with. We went back and forth with new ideas, suggestions, and ways to save money on the project. He even referred a plumber to me with whom I could work directly. That way, I didn't have to pay Steve to serve as a middleman and could lower my costs. The fact that Steve was willing to do that really showed me that he values me as a customer and is willing to put my satisfaction first. Additionally we have been very happy with all the work Handyman Matters has done for us. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were very accommodating and didn't hesitate to come back and adjust things until we were totally satisfied. We still want to remodel our laundry room and kitchen and will definitely be using them again.

They did not contact me back with an estimate so I used a different company.

It went really well, he was thorough and prompt. He showed up when he said he would and worked non stop without break until job was done for the day. He made sure all walls and floors were covered while painting was taking placed and completely removed all plastics and trash as though he was never there.

Jeff finished the remodeling of 2 bathrooms that was started by Kevin McCall, who messed up the project and disappeared before finishing. Jeff stepped into an incomplete project and was wonderful about it. He was very dependable, profession, neat and did a great job. I have learned my lesson and will only call Handyman Matters for my future projects.
