We were looking at having bamboo flooring installed in our living room, roughly 300 square feet worth. Jacob responded to my email fairly quickly. Within a few business days he called and came over for an in home estimate. Their price was fair for the work required. The day of the job, he was unexpectedly short a worker. But he did not reschedule and worked late until the job was done. The installation work was impeccable. We did have one T-mold that would not stay glued. Jacob came back out as soon as he could to glue it back down. Communication was very quick. I did not have a single email or text message that went longer than one business day without being answered. I would highly recommend Stewart Family Flooring to friends and family. If we ever have any additional flooring to install I would hire them again.

Mr. Stewart brought floors back to life. My wife and I have been very pleased with the workmanship and results. The hardwood flooring could not look any better.

First of all Jake Stewart is a real pleasure to work with. He is honest, pleasant to deal with and is a hard worker on the job. He got the jobs finished when he said he would and his work was outstanding. We hired him first about three years ago to put new hardwood floors in our family room and office. Late last year we had him install new hardwood floors in the master bedroom and dining room. We are very pleased with both jobs. He had to match the new floors to older floors in a hallway and stairs landing and you can not tell the difference. We would certainly hire him again and have recommended him to friends. His price for doing the work was very reasonable when compared to another quote I received.

The entire process from the first contact to the finished job went extremely well. Jake responded quickly to my contact and he kept his promise to do the work on the date that we needed. They were short a man and this caused the install to be extended beyond the estimated duration. We also had an issue with glue tracked around the house. Jake and crew worked hard to correct. A year old quote was honored even though his labor rate is slightly higher now. Thumbs up.

I found Stewart Family Floors on Angie's List and am very glad I found them. I had a guy I used before on multiple projects that did great, but he retired. I used another person and had a lot of problems with both communication and quality of final product, which is why I went to Angie's list. Jake with Stewart Family Floors was quick to respond, on time, easy to work with, he gave me good advice on color choice, and quotes were spot on. I told him what I needed, and he got it done right the first time which was excellent. Final product looked and felt great (if you've ever had a floor refinished poorly, you know what I mention how it felt :) This is actually the second time I have used Stewart Family Floors - they did great the first time (same location, just other side of duplex) so I used them again. Pics are attached of final product. Hallway pic shows spot that was patched - right as you enter the hallway, the floor heater was on the right. Jake's team did a great job blending it in.

It was absolutely amazing. Jake was very fast getting our estimate done and honored almost a year later when we finally had the funds to get the work done. Now for the work, the pictures should speak for themselves, but it was a great job. Our house was built in 1961 and I believe we still had the original finish on our floors. Lets just say it was something to be desired, lol. Built Jake and his team came in and completely transformed our floors to something that you would see on HGTV or something. He finished on time and there were no hidden or additional fees tacked on. This flooring company is the best, folks. I looked long and hard to find someone I could trust to transform my mundane flooring into awesomeness. Jake Stewart knows his stuff and installs flooring with the expertise of a professional with many years of experience. It may take a few weeks for him to fit you into his schedule (believe me, when you are the best you are booked!) but I assure you that he is well worth the wait. Any little problem that came up with my floors, Jake knew exactly what to do and always gave me a choice of what solution we would do. My bamboo floors are beautiful and perfect and I'm a happy happy customer :)

Exceeded expectations. Beyond the fact that they were prompt and did the little things (Jake Stewart came over and got a key from me three weeks in advance because I was to be out of town the week of the work), they actually bothered to sand and refinish a couple of closet thresholds I have in the house (I didn't not expressly ask for this and they turned out gorgeous), AND there isn't a spot I can see that wasn't evenly sanded and varnished. The best thing about it is that before the work, Jake Stewart looked at the floor and said, "Yeah, this floor is rough, and a few places I don't think will come out. I would recommend considering a [shade of] mocha stain." I reluctantly said, "You're the expert," but he knew that I wanted blonde floors and no stain. Also, stain was an additional $350. So off I go on vacation, and Monday, the first day, he texted me like a half dozen pics all around the house and the floors look actually pretty good. He says, "These turned out great! Let's not do stain!" He could have not texted me the pics and just done what we'd tentatively agreed on. Instead, he was honest. He was my advocate when I couldn't be there. And for it, he willingly cut himself out of a $350 "sale." Obviously, I would shout this guy's recommendation from Pinnacle Mountain.

Jake figured out that the floors had not been installed properly, and to alleviate the issue, as well as help my floors look better, he pulled up several spots and mixed in new and old wood before refinishing everything. It was a hard request, but I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Jake is an honest guy, and I felt completely at ease with leaving him the keys to my house while we were on vacation for a week. We came back to beautiful floors. Jake even brought in the mail while we were gone and sent us photos of the progress. I'd recommend Jake to anyone, and if I ever need this kind of work done, there's no one else I'll call.

Jake Stewart and his assistant Wesley sanded down my hardwood (hickory) floors, replaced several slats and applied three coats of varnish, which is one more than other outfits I called, and it turned out very well. They were really polite and pleasant to work with. I would recommend them.

Jacob did such a great job on our floors. They were in really bad shape. He took the extra time to sand it down to a smooth finish and match the stain color to other existing wood floors and now they look new! Very prompt and courteous service and I am happy to recommend this company.

Jake is the guy you want to work on your floors. Period. Why? Keep reading. Jake did a great job. He gave his honest opinion about the state of the flooring, the quality of the flooring, and options on what he could do with the stairs that wouldn't cost a fortune. What I have to point out about Jake and his company is not just the quality of work, but the professionalism he has. You see, he said my job would be straight-forward and he normally doesn't remember those. But, mine became very memorable. Let me tell you a story about Jake... My husband and I just moved into this house in a great neighborhood, but were not currently living in the house. Jake asked if he could park his trailer full of his equipment in my driveway because he would be back at 8 am the next morning. No problem. We both drove up about the same time the next morning and his trailer was missing. Someone stole his trailer out of my driveway!!!!! Jake could have freaked out. He could have blamed me. He could have sued me! But, he calmly called the police and made a report. I told him to not worry about the job and take care of his business with insurance, etc. We can worry about my floors some other time! He said he needed to get his mind around some things we would be in touch. He called an hour later. HE FOUND THE TRAILER!! The police were called, people were arrested, he gave a statement to the prosecutor, and was back finishing my floors that afternoon!!! Jake personifies professionalism and is generally just nice guy. I even have a neighbor that wants to hire him (if we will come back to my neighborhood!) So yes, the floors look great and the price was right, but he is the guy you want to work on your floors. Period.

Stewart Family Floors was very professional from start to finish. They arrived on time and completed the job on schedule. I was surprised at how clean they left our house. I was expecting lots of dust and there was none! The floors look fantastic, much better than you would expect for their age! The oak actually looks brand new!
