Description of Work: I am always skeptical about sites and there reviews, but tStewart Family Floors did a great job. It's been awhile, but I think the owner's name is Jake. He is a real honest guy. He told me it would be easier and cheaper to tile a couple spots in my house. I was also being a little picky about one spot, but he came and fixed it.

Description of Work: They refinished wood floors in two rooms. The dust was very little and work done was exactly as I had been told it would be. I am very pleased and have already recommended them to some one else. The floors are so beautiful, I am not going to put area rugs back down.

+ -1 moreWe purchased laminate from Costco and had Jake from Stewart Family Floors install it. I talked to them about a week prior when getting ready to purchase the laminate. Jake scheduled the installation date for next Wed. Later in the week he called me back and offered to do it a day earlier since he has some extra time. I did not mind, actually was glad that we can do it sooner. Jake showed up exactly on time and got started right away. He was very energetic and I thought extremely quick. He removed the old carpet, cut it in pieces, rolled it up and removed from the house. Then he cleaned up and scraped the floor really good, he has some sort of powerful industrial vacuum that sucked all the dirt and dust out. Installing laminate was super quick, I could see that he is a real professional who done that many many times, there was no guess work, he was just laying it down, several boxes at a time, mixing it all up well. When Jake was back on the 2nd day there were just couple boxes left to install and then he started on transitions and quarter round installation. I did not know what exactly to buy, so I had him buy it. He matched the color of transitions really well and one can't tell the difference. I am extremely satisfied by the quality of work, speed and responsiveness of Stewart Family Floors. We are moving to a new bigger house very soon and looking forward to having Jake install laminate and hardwood in several rooms in the new house as well. Oh, and the best part is the price. Steward Family Floors are very reasonable, they charge almost too little :). I shopped around and you would easily pay at least twice or even three times more in any "showroom" places. Not sure if you get he same quality work though. Jake is a PROFESSIONAL who knows his stuff and does it well. I am very happy I found him and will use him again very soon.

+ -1 moreWe were contemplating replacing carpet in the bedrooms of our rental home or going with wood. Jacob was almost a dollar less for installl than our flooring supplier. So his pricing allowed us to go with a 30 year warranty floor rather that replace carpet with every renter. He also saved us money by removing our baseboard and placing it on top of the new floor rather than buy quarter-round for all the rooms. He is a sweet young man that went well above just laying the floor.

Description of Work: What can I say?- We LOVED him and his work!! I am a very meticulous Interior Designer and was in search of a flooring person. I needed flooring installed in my very large living room which had many chalenges to face including floor mounted electrical sockets, angled entryways, and a rustic stone fireplace to cope around. I decided to use myself as the "guinea pig" and hire in a flooring guy. Right from the begining he was nothing but professional, punctual, and attentive. He turly listened to all of my requests and spent the time required to make things look right without any prompting from me. He did these things because he knew how they should be from prior experience and that alone is worth a million dollars!! Several friends and neighbors have come to see our new floor, and are going to be hiring him in for their jobs. He will be the ONLY one I will ever recommend for flooring, and I will be calling him back to my home to lay all of the upstairs flooring as well.

Description of Work: The owner did the work himself. He was prompt, courteous, a non-smoker, and a skilled worker. We were originally skeptical that he could do the job as quickly as he said, but he finished on-time exactly as promised. He was able to buy supplies for less than originally quoted, and he passed the savings on to us. He called the following day to check up on our final inspection of his work. We would definitely recommend him.

Description of Work: Removal of teak oil finish from pre-engineered flooring. We expected to have to replace the entire floor. Jacob came, was extremely up front about what might happen and offered no gurantees or false hopes. He came light buffed orr the ugly oil finish (my bright idea) and brought the floors back to their original finish. to which I just gave it a once over with a conditioner. GOOD AS NEW!!!!!! Jacob saved me THOUSANDS!!!!!! Great guy, great service.
