Description of Work: Had two very difficult and dangerous 90 foot pine trees in my backyard with no easy access. Both trees heavily covered in poison ivy and leaning! Got a bunch of estimates, a couple of companies couldn't do it (it required a crane). Jim was recommended by one of those companies, and by a local friend who knew his work. He came out promptly to bid the job, and the time to removal was reasonable once I confirmed. Figuring out what day they were coming was a bit tricky but I think that is the nature of the work. Most importantly, he was direct and professional- did not go on and on about how dangerous/difficult/etc the job would be to justify his fee or badmouth other companies (others did), just quoted me a price for his services and let me decide (I respect that, and his estimate ended up being 800 less than the other two large companies). His insurance checked out, his crew was professional and courteous, and the job was completed and cleaned up immaculately in four hours. He was good to his crew, and careful about my property and the safety of his workers. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again.

 + -1 moreGuys did a great job removing trees, dead limbs, and bushes; grinding down stumps; and even removed leaves that had fallen due to Autumn. About 10 per cent more expensive than others, but worth the professionalism and attention to clean-up. I had used them twice before and will continue to in the future. Only drawback (besides price) is his answering service - call his cell phone - as you have to contact it more than once to get a callback.
Description of Work: cleared many trees (some alive, some dead) and bushes (some alive, some dead) from my property

 + -1 moreAfter 10 days of trying to set up an appointment for an estimate, I gave up and contacted another service who responded promptly. If your time is valuable, don't waste it waiting to hear from Jim's.

 + -1 moreJim came out several weeks before the actual work and gave me an estimate. I was familiar with his work along with other tree companies since several years earlier the Leawood Subdivision had extension tree damage from the wind of a Tornado. I picked Jim's Tree Service and one other. The other gave me a price of $2,000 more. Jim was not greedy and was on time, had the equipment and a very capable crew. I WOULD RECCOMEND JIM'S to anyone
Description of Work: They (Jim's Tree Service) Removed 5 trees from the property. 1 Large tree in the backyard was 8 inches from the house and should have been removed years ago. 1 Gum tree with the trashy gum b , two dead trees and 1 in the front that was leaning over the house. Jim and his crew was able to remove all trees in a timely manner without any damage to yard or property.

 + -1 moreOne pine tree presented a real challenge, because it was intertwined with an adjacent oak. The price included stump grinding and hauling away the cut wood. All of the crew were polite. They cleaned up the yard, when they were finished. They had all the heavy equipment they needed to do the job professionally and safely. I will call Jim's again, the next time, I need a tree cut down.
Description of Work: They cut down three large pine trees in my front yard and trimmed small branches out of the three oaks that remained.

 + -1 moreThey were on time for the appointment, and they were very polite. They finished the job in a timely manner, and they made sure they didn t tear up anymore of the yard than what was necessary. They cleaned up all of the excess wood. They also had nice trucks and equipment.

 + -1 moreThey did a great job and boy did they have the equipment for the work. They had everything done in one day, which I was amazed with. I just couldn t believe how fast they did the job, and they did wonderful at it. Even my neighbors asked about them, so they could do work for them as well.
Description of Work: They removed 6 Oak trees and their stumps for me. They charged $700 a tree.

 + -1 moreI looked around to find a reputable company like these guys. They were in the phone book so they were easy to find. There were a lot of tree companies who would do you in and you have to be careful of that. This is a company you can count on to do a good job. This included cutting down the tree with excellent handy work, cleaning up all of the debris, and being trustworthy.
Description of Work: They cut down six large pine trees, chopped them up, and ground down the stumps.

 + -1 moreI came to find out pretty quickly that Jims Tree Service was one of the cheapest tree removal companies around here. I found them to be quite impressive; they cut that big tree down within hours. It was in an extremely difficult place, which made it a pretty critical job. To top it all off though it was done on a holiday. They are simply the best there is around.
