They gave a fast estimate, but we used somebody who was slightly cheaper and could start work earlier.

The crew was prompt and efficient. They cleaned up after each day's work. Their work was meticulous. Lines are remarkably straight. Mary came to assess their work and promptly took care of the few minor problems (tape left on the chandelier, for example)--but again, very minor issues. I would definitely recommend Mary's Painting to anyone!

We requested a quote through Elizabeth, and within a few days had a written quote from Robert, we accepted the bid and an appointment was setup. Josh worked on our projects for two days, cleaned up after himself each day which is greatly appreciated. Invoicing was prompt and payment options convenient.

Called for an estimate and met with the contractor who arrived at the specified time. Agreed on the job to be done, received an estimate the same day, contracted and agreed on a date for the work to be done. They arrived as agreed and finished the same day.. Very professional fron start to finish.

The price was reasonable and the work was excellent. The service was friendly.

Everything was executed excellently... from Josh and Robert providing a detailed, line-item quote of the proposed work, to Elizabeth handling all of the communications and scheduling, to Ginger and Julie painting each and every area like I would expect from two professionals. I couldn't afford to paint the entire house this time, but I will make only ONE call when I decide to finish out the rest of the house. I would highly recommend Mary's to ANYONE who needs a professional, courteous painter!

I wrote an email to Mary and Robert detailing my experience with them and their crew, Andy and Paul, because I have never been so happy with any work that has been done for me in all my 50 years on this earth. These men are punctual, effecient, courtious, loyal to employer and client for a job well done, and most of all expert at their trade. My house is not difficult only because it is monster sized but it also is 3 stories of rough cedar. Owner Mary was my initial contact for this specific project, Owner Robert was my 'go-to' for anything I needed or wanted to do, or change, or suggest; Elizabeth the office assistant was easy and effective in her role as was Foreman Jason. Simply, the root of this successful job was the heart and soul that Paul and Andy put into it. I never needed to micro-manage a single moment of this venture. How often can one say that? Thanks to this incredible team, I have a lovely looking home again.

They are fabulous. They are fair and punctual. They are friendly. They come when they tell you, they are going to. They clean up their mess. I am going to use them again. I have found other painters that I was not as happy with. When you find someone, you are happy with you stick with them.

Punctuality, service, responsiveness, and honesty of company and workers is excellent. 100% professional and very talented crew. Willing to correct and perform job to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. I am a perfectionist and I can attest that this is the company you want to hire! I received a couple of other quotes for less, but definitely did not have the same good feeling. The job went very smooth and they worked super fast. The crew is very conscious to clean up after themselves and are very courteous.

They are professional. The cost was less than I expected because they only used one gallon of paint. They have good pricing, obviously. They will let you know where they get their paint. They will also tell you where you should get the paint if you want to do it yourself. They are patient. I didn't hear them knock on the door and they waited for thirty minutes until I saw their truck outside. The overall experience was excellent. The quality of work was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this company again.

Mary was my point of contact and her husband Robert handles the estimates. The estimate came back timely and the time line to complete the work was very good. However the estimate pricing was 150% above the other estimates I received from comparable small companyies insured and with business licenses. I was terribly disappointed with the pricing. I asked for the estimate to be detailed and broken down between labor and materials from the begining of my request, so I can accurately gage and benchmark the estimate to assess its competiveness with the other estimates. Unfortunately, Robert decided to supply an estimate that included a lump sum for both the labor and materials even though my email request detailed my desire for detailed cost breakdown. It is always a red flag to me when vendors avoid breaking out the details of their cost estimates from labor and materials. The lack of transparency poses a problem both in the area of assessing the estimate and building credibility with me that the vendor can be trusted. I declined to use this vendor after discussing my concern about the estimate pricing and failure to breakout the costs. Mary, repeatedly informed me that her company had so many customers that they didn't need my job. In addition, she seemed to feel the quality of their work justified the 150% price difference from the other estimates. No explanation or justification for the increased pricing model, no more work or repairs supported the pricing difference. Mary stated, "this is our price take it or leave it." I quote " we don't go down on our prices". If price justification and professional courtesy in communications in your business dealings are an important criteria for you when engaging vendors, I suggest you keep looking. I do not recommend Mary's Painting. I called Mary's Painting fromt the referrals on Angies list. I don't know if the referrals of good comments are real or paid for. All I can say, I didn't have a good experience with the estimating or Mary's disposition regarding the price estimate. I cannot speak to the quality of their work, only the quality of customer service I received. By the way, I experience sour grapes from Mary's husband after I spoke with Mary about the pricing and lack of detail in the proposal. Her husband Robert sent me a nasty email stating they were withdrawing their estimate. As if it needed withdrawal after over pricing the job!

The job was good and overall it went well. We had some issues but they have continued to fix them so we have no complaints. They were very honest and they stuck to their word. They were more affordable than some other guys that we checked out. They were the best value for their experience. They were on time and stuck to their schedule. The communication was great. They were very nice and attentive. They wanted to make sure that we were happy. We experienced some chipping on the cabinets because they probably should have sanded a little more but they wouldn't know that. They have been out twice to the house to work on them and they didn't charge any more money. I probably wouldn't recommend them for staining but I would recommend them for painting.
