Description of Work: I had repairs done to the foundation and sagging floors of my house that was built in 1949. They were easy to work with and did professional work. This was a fairly expensive (to me) job but the results were worth the cost.

Randy responded to my call quickly and came out to take a look at my piers within a couple of days. He agreed that one of my piers needed to be adjusted. He came out with his crew the following week and fixed the pier. The most surprising part was that he stands by his work and fixed the pier for free. I am very pleased with these guys and know several people that have used them and are happy with their work.
Description of Work: Johnson Brothers came to my home to reassess some pier work they did in 2009. Work was out of warranty

They (3 Brothers) showed up on time, looked under the house and looked at outside told me what they would do an how much. They came to fix it and found more damage when siding was pulled off. They repaired it all and didn't charge me any extra. The did it in the time they said and the house and yard even looked. They are excellent and I will use them again. Wonderful!
Description of Work: They replaced the damaged sill plate with new and old rim joist in the fronts the house. They also replaced termite damage and rotted siding above and put on some new siding where there was none at no extra charge. They are good hard working and caring people.

Description of Work: Excavated to the base of a badly leaking block basement wall of approximately 40 year old house. Repaired damaged wall and completely sealed surface. Problem solved. Have employed this company on several projects over the past 14 years with good results.

The work took two days. They were respectful of the inside of my home and I have no issues with them there. The work settled a little bit, otherwise I would have given them a higher rating. That might be typical of the type of foundation work I had done in this old house. I am not sure. Update: I was contacted by contractor after submitting the review and offered tweaking of the original work to get it right, which I was told was common with older home foundation repairs. The work came with a three year warranty and I didn't contact them when I noticed issues. They stand behind their work. More than I expected.
Description of Work: These guys did a foundation repair for me on my old house.

These are just good people who are determined to do the job right. They were very conscientious and diligent, and I have no doubt that they approach their jobs with a determination to do whatever it takes to solve the challenge they've been hired to solve. The references that I saw prior to hiring them (tons and tons of them) were all very complimentary of their work. We have been very pleased with the outcome and would hire them again. They are not the least expensive option, but we had thrown away good money on another company's ineffectual efforts to solve the issue for us.
Description of Work: Randy and team built an extremely strong steel beam structure underneath our house to better hold and distribute the weight of the house. They implemented a complex plan that does the job very well, and lifted the house to get rid of some mild sagging and drywall cracks.

It went very well. They explained, in great detail, what they suspect happened since the home is about 5 years old and built during the housing boom in Rogers. They looked all around the house and made sure they looked at all the exterior walls, brick, and foundation. They asked me if I had any visible cracks in the house. They answered all my questions and asked me a lot of questions. I really felt like I could trust what they were saying and they know what they are doing. They didn't charge me for an evaluation even though they spent nearly an hour looking at everything and discussing what they were seeing. I highly recommend them and will have them come back for 2nd opinion later in the year. They even made suggestions about how to improve our drainage in front of the house.
Description of Work: The Johnson Brothers came and looked at the faux stone cracking on the front of the house and recommended we wait for a season to see if it gets worse. They suspect it's how the faux stone was applied, shifting away from the brick, due to all the rain and not a foundation or structural issue. We don't have good drainage--yard kind of slopes back toward the house.

Work was performed as quoted. Somewhat unprofessional was that the crew stripped down to their underwear in my driveway in order to put on their work clothes. The issue (and reason for the failing rating) was that when contacted two years later by a prospective buyer of our home, the contractor gave a different recommendation of what work needed to be completed, stating that the work completed in 2010 was simply a temporary solution to a bigger problem. When contacted by the prospective buyer, the contractor furnished an estimate which was nearly 10x the amount of the 2010 bid/ estimate. This estimate was given without visiting and inspecting the structure, but the contractor offered a more detailed/ on-site estimate for $100 (in contrast to the "free estimate" offer from their Angie's List profile). Upon receiving this estimate, I contacted the contractor for an explanation. The contractor claimed to have no record of the work done in 2010 (which essentially negated the 3 year warranty which was expressed on the initial job bid), but did happen to have a detailed drawing of the foundation/ substructure in their "jobs not completed" file. The phone call quickly escalated into a very one-sided 10 minute conversation, which was more shouting than constructive discussion. Upon reviewing the contractor's assessment and estimate, I decided to obtain an unbiased second opinion from a structural engineer. I must give the contractor credit in that the opinion of the engineer was in concurrence with the contractor's assessment. However, the engineer's proposed solution contained many measures that were not included in the contractor's proposal of work.
Description of Work: House foundation shims were replaced. In order to do this, existing foundation beams were raised, the existing shims were removed and discarded, and new shims were put into place.

We explain the options to [member name removed], He decide to go with the changing the shims and not doing other repairs. When we were contacted by the buyer, we also explain all options to the buyer. We have an computer crash in 2010 causing loss of our record but retain our drawing and notes of 14149 Highland Church Rd. Fayetteville,AR., since then we put new safe guards. We sorry that we can not make all people happy. We are sorry to hear about for a grief that [member name removed] may experince. We wish [member name removed] and his Family joyous and wonderful life

They arrived and completed the work exactly when they projected they would. The interior man communicated throughout the work with those under the house in each step of the process. They performed another walk-through after the work was completed, explaining exactly what they had done and assuring that we were satisfied that doors functioned correctly and straight lines were restored.
Description of Work: We called Johnson Brothers due to problems with cracks appearing on our interior walls and doors not properly closing due to shifting. When they came to determine the needs and cost of the project, they sketched a drawing of the placement of interior walls, fireplace, etc. Two were under the house in the crawl space and one was in the interior of the home. They discussed back and forth the placement of existing piers and where new support needed to be added. When finished, they gave us a very clear picture of their analysis and of the costs. We really appreciated the fact they carefully educated us on the reasons for the plans they laid out. Johnson Brothers added a support beam and piers within the area inside the foundation of our home, again with one working inside while the others worked underneath. The man inside was assuring that straight lines were re-established.

It was a relief to know the work has been done correctly. They gave me a written report when they were done. They gave me suggestions for other work that I asked about and we will have done in the future. We had received a bid from a company for vastly more money, that structurally would not have resolved the problem. These people are reputable and reliable.
Description of Work: They turned up exactly on time. I wanted more piers installed under the house. They explained in detail what they would do and exactly why. They turned up precisely on time. They had to delay the finish do to rain, and again turned up on time. Did great work. They are honest and totally reliable. I am keeping their number on speed dial for any issues I might have around the house. They referred me to another company for a vent repair they stated they were not qualified to perform. They didn't try to do what they weren't qualified to do. I have enormous faith in any advice they would give us. Highly recommended.
