It was great, we no longer deal with the extensive flooding under the crawl space, we get minimal drainage in a lot of rain from other parts of the house. They have come back out a couple of times to adjust the jacks which we knew would be needed. Their workers were polite, and worked extremely hard to get it done in a timely fashion. If we have any other issues they will be the only one we call.

I contacted American Standard Foundation in mid October of 2013 about a drainage problem I was having. I talked to Michael, the owner, who came out and surveyed my problem. He made his recommendations, and cost of doing them. He also told me that it would be about two months before he could perform the work. This was the only complaint, and I really can't complain about that since Michael told me that up front, but I was anxious to get it fixed. .Sure enough in mid December I get a call from Michael telling me that his crew would be out the following Monday to start our job. Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. his crew arrives to start the job. Brian, the supervisor, walked me through the whole process, and explained to me everything they were going to do. The work involved removing several shrubs from a flower garden, and digging a couple of trenches across our lawn, and the crew did a good job of replanting the plants, and covering the trenches. The job was completed in a timely fashion, and the whole crew was very professional, courteous, and accomedating. I am very pleased with the whole process.

After scheduling the work, Michael came to the house just before our start date to identify utilities and other issues the workers could incounter. The work crew arrived on the appointed day and the rate they worked was trully amazing. They incountered additional damage to a section of my footing which required additional support. Work stopped until Brian contacted me and explained the issues and resolution he planned. Although the solution required additional material to support the footing there was no increase in the cost to me. They finished the work on schedule and graded the yard as well as the winter weather allowed. I would contact them again if I need further repairs.

We're very happy with the services provided by American Standard Foundation Repair. They were on time, courteous and professional. We would definitely use them again and we're so happy that our front yard won't turn into a pond the next time there's a heavy rain.

it went very well. if we owned the home the estimate would have been free. but for a professional estimate of a home we did not own, we felt the fee was very reasonable. he came out, on time, from the next state over, and was detailed and thorough in what would be necessary to make all the necessary repairs. he was no-nonsense, to the point, looked high and low and all around and provided very helpful information and options.

Work completed as stated. Very professional and flexible. They helped make such a daunting task easier to manage and explained the process clearly. Highly recommended.

I have a house under contract, in which the inspectors found there had been water intrusion in the basement. The cause for this must be identified and repaired, or the price of the house must be adjusted accordingly so that I can have the repairs done, before closing. I called and spoke to Michael Herring, owner of American Standard Foundation Repair of NW Arkansas, who told me he could not give me a free estimate, as advertised, since I did not own the home. He told me for me, he would charge me $250. I really don't appreciate contractors who advertise one thing, then come up with another, as what else might change? I asked if he would deduct that amount if I had the work done with him, and he said he would. He told me he was going to be there on Monday, and he wanted reassurance I would be there, as well. On Monday, Michael showed up long past "fashionably late." No apology or explanations were given. I introduced myself, then I introduced him to my realtor, whom he immediately told, "You have a booger on your nose." She was horrified and embarrassed, shielding her nose with her hands. Then he said, "Just kidding." (Who does that with someone he has NEVER met before?) The appointment didn't take long (well under an hour). I received my estimate via email on the 24th (two days later). Let's just round up the time he spent with this estimate, to one hour. That's $250 per hour. For that, I received tardiness, unprofessionalism, and a pretty useless estimate. Now, I understand it is an estimate, but he knew the situation. He knew the estimate would be going to the seller, who does not live there (he resides out of state). He may have explained things to me, in person, but rather than including why he thought something needed to be done, and how (such as "prevent water from entering base of foundation by excavating by hand down to the footing and installing a French drain"), it was basically only about the cost. Therefore, it was a pretty useless estimate for my needs. The seller would never be able to figure out the different drainage issues that existed, and how each one would be repaired. In fact, what was the seller's response when he received the estimate? He called 1-800-water damage (a water extraction company), and had them come to the house. Of course there was no water present, but that just goes to show how useless the estimate was. I wish I could go with this company for the work, as I would recoup my $250. But after this experience, I will look for a better company, and one that will probably cost me at least $250 less.

In comparison for the same work American Standard was much more expensive than other similar businesses. With that said they were very knowledgable, professional and helpful just a little pricey for the work we needed done. I would recommend them in the future.

Mike Herring, the manager and representative was quite professional, nice and punctual. It was nice to see that even though this company is in Arkansas, they are licensed, insured and bonded in Southwest Missouri. It was pleasing to see all the cracks around doors and fire place of our home close, and the floors and stairs come to a level. The six operators were cordial, respectful and careful despite the fact of working lying on their back on a very tight space. The work was done slowly enough, with the job-engineer or foreman checking on the condition of the interior of the house and measuring with a level at every step. The job went very well and we are pleased with the results. As a bonus, Mike sent us gave us a 5% refund for an Angie's list coupon.

I think he did a good job but it was a very minor project. I did have to contact him several times to get it all completed. There were some weather issues like rain involved, however. He is a very nice, professional young man. I don't know how fair his price was because I have never had anything like this done and I didn't get any other estimates. I do feel the cost was high for the amount of time and concrete involved.

I live at the bottom of a big hill and my yard gets a great deal of water run-off. Because of this, my house developed a serious foundation problem. I called three foundation repair companies in Oklahoma, but none of them seemed very interested in coming to give me an estimate. I joined Angie's List and found American Standard Foundation Repair in NW Arkansas. When I called, Mike Herring was very polite. We set up an appointment and he came just a few days later. He looked at the damage and explained what caused it, then he proceeded to tell me exactly what needed to be done to prevent further damage in the future. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand. Mike was very honest and professional...I was impressed from start to finish! Needless to say, I hired his company to do the job. The workers were very polite and they did a super job. Mike was very good about following up on everything and making sure I was satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company!

I noticed a small crack in my outer brick wall by a window in the rear of my house and suspected foundation problems. I also had a hairline crack on my garage floor and driveway. There was no internal damage, but I'd had foundation problems at another home and didn't want to wait until things got worse. I found good ratings for American Foundations on Angie's List and called for an estimate. Mike came out and showed me other cracks I hadn't noticed myself, looked at the lay of the land and determined since I was on downside of a hill, water drainage was causing erosion at the foundation. He recommended piers on one side of the house and some just around the corners of the same side to stabilize the foundation and French drains down both sides of the house and in the front to prevent further problems due to water draining against the foundation. He also brought in fill dirt to replace where the ground had settled below the original brick line. The work was performed as scheduled and quickly. Mike also suggested I get covers for my gutters and arranged for that work to be done as well. Since other homes in the area had similar problems he also suggested ways to save on cost by combining similar work be done (fill dirt and sod) at same time to share cost of delivery and be more efficient. One minor thing was the mortar color was a bit brighter, but is expected to fade over time.

I noticed a separation in my hardwood floors in my bedroom. They used all the proper materials, installed french drains to keep the water away from my foundation. They used steel shims not wood, and they even came back after the job to tweek a few things I wanted at no expense to me.

Mike Herrington is great. Professional, punctual and fair. Mike did not try to sell me on things I didn't need. In fact, when questioned about some things I'd learned, he said "I can do it but you don't need it". I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. They first came out and installed the drains that were needed. Did a great job and other than what they dug up, would never have known they were there. I trusted Mike with a key to my house as I live out of state. When they came back to do the foundation I was not there. Upon my return, I called to ask Mike when the foundation would be done. He told me it was already completed. Sure enough, I could feel the subtle differences in the house and the sturdiness in places where it hadn't been. I purchased a house that was built in 1949. Mike was very upfront with me and told me the house would never be level. But it sure is much more level than it was. Mike will also come back at any time and adjust the piers if needed. I would definitely recommend him and his crew to anyone.
