Brown's Moving and Storage Inc

Many of the pieces moved were antique furnishings, and upon arrival many pieces were missing. I was informed at that time that my mother had forgotten to give him the pieces and he would get them and deliver them to me. At that time I paid him the remaining $500 that was owed. After he left I spoke to my mother who was very upset because she had given all the pieces to them and instructed exactly what was to go on the truck to Rogers. I contacted Brown's and told them I didn't know what was going on, but I needed the pieces as quickly as possible. Mr. Brown explained that they would deliver the pieces at their convenience as this was way out of the way. I informed him at that time that I was going to cancel payment on the $500 check I had given him until the remaining pieces were received. Finally, weeks later the pieces arrived while I was out of town. Today I received a call from Mr. Brown and he was irate that the original check had been canceled. I explained that he had no reason to be upset because I informed him during our first phone call that I was canceling payment, and now that I had received the additional pieces I would send another check out. He was still not satisfied and stated that "he should come up here and get his money", which I considered a threat. While all of this was going on my mother canceled the remainder of the move that they were scheduled to do for her. After Mr. Brown and I were done speaking he then called my mother and began harassing her about the the cancelled check.
