 + -1 moreAll went well. Expensive, of course, but that is how it goes. Call Hawk Heating and Air with your AC problems, but do yourself a favor...if your central unit is nearly a decade old and leaks, don't bother replacing just the coolant. Plan and budget for a new compressor. And clean the A coil with foaming cleaner.
Description of Work: About a month after replacing coolant that had leaked from our central air unit, the compressor failed. Robert Hawk and his assistant replaced the compressor and the (grumpy and hard to please) missus and I have plenty of cold air for the coming summer. I was not surprised by the failure of the compressor after having been empty during the winter. I cleaned the A coil myself and that really helped...it was hard to believe what washed out of it. Anyway, thank you Robert and your assistant whose name I still can't remember. I am old and have a bad memory but at least I can cool off after piddling around in the yard and garden. Good job, guys.

 + -1 moreI will call Hawk Heating and Air for any and all problems with our central heat and air. I highly recommend them to everyone for all HVAC needs.
Description of Work: Mr. Hawk and his assistant re-installed the A-coil in our central heat and air, checked the system for leaks and recharged the system with R22. I had removed the A-coil after the coolant leaked out last summer and cleaned it myself. The operation went without a hitch and cost about half of what I had figured. Thanks for a quick and professional job, Mr. Hawk, and thank your assistant, whose name I didn't catch or can't remember.

Description of Work: Robert Hawk is extremely fair, respectful and knows his profession. I would recommend him to any and everyone. He's not out to get rich he will do you right and not make you spend unnecessary moneys.

 + -1 moreWe have used Mr. Hawk many times in past and have referred to others his work is professional and he is very curtious. I trust him in all departments of his business. You couldn't get a more reliable company to repair or install your heat and A/C services.
Description of Work: Mr. Hawks installed outside unit for down stairs and corrected what others did in past when they installed units. Replaced parts that went out.
