Jf Quality Painting

First, I do like John. He is a nice guy. I was also impressed with the fact that he apologized to me for something. I hired him solely on two Angies List recommendations to paint the walls and baseboards of my 1800 SF home and attached 2 car garage. We had just bought this home, which had obviously been painted by amateurs. I wanted him to paint only the walls and baseboards to save money, since I can do the other trim work and doors. He originally told me the job would take 3 1/2-4 days. So imagine my surprise when I got a call in the morning of the 2nd day from John, saying they would be finished that day! I immediately went to the house to see what kind of work was being done. My heart sank when I saw the sloppy paint lines and careless mistakes. John and I discussed these problems, and even though we disagreed about expectations, he did correct most of the paint lines to make them neater. Now that we've lived in the house 11 days, however, we are finding more and more problems. Someone painted over non-paintable calk, so that it looked very messy. When painting the shower, the tension rod was not removed. I will have to sand and paint those areas to correct them. They also failed to remove the curtain brackets. The painters did use spray texture to cover the many nail holes, but it wasn't applied evenly, so it doesn't match the texture of the walls. On one wall, the ceiling line was touched up for a few feet, then skipped about 2 ft, then touched up again. Instead of removing a piece of the baseboard to take to the paint store to be perfectly color matched, they used a and quot;close matchand quot;. These types of things were exactly what I was trying to avoid by using a professional painter. John and his crew painted a great room, Kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and short hall- walls and baseboards only, no closets, and a garage. For the quality of work, they were very overpriced.

Everything was done perfectly. The crew arrived on time, went about their work professionally, and was a delight to have in our home. They used plenty of drop cloths and did clean up. Additionally, John was very competitive in pricing. We highly recommend JF Quality Painting.

They did a fine job. They keep a very clean work space. They were polite and showed up when they said they would.
