Description of Work: Repaired wiring under our office building. Have also used him for our rental properties. We had 2 other electricians try to fix a wiring problem and Reed's was the one to finally figure the problem out and repair it.

I contacted Parker in the morning to fix problems at my brother's house. We had several lights that weren't working although all the breakers were set. We set up an afternoon appointment, but he was able to arrive before noon and set to work. He found several problems with switches light fixtures and wiring. He went step by step and got everything back in order. Parker was fast, accurate and very professional. The cost was very reasonable. I strongly recommend Reed Electric, and would not hesitate to use his services again.
Description of Work: Parker checked out all the troublesome switches and lights and corrected the wiring errors that caused the problems.

Description of Work: I asked Parker Reed to come out and give me an estimate on some work I wanted done. He returned my calls and made a quick appointment to come by. He was professional and talked with me to help me better understand what it was I really needed. The estimate was fair and he agreed to lower it if I did some of the work I was knowledgable with. I have not committed as I am waiting for some other work to be done first, but will have him perform the work in the near future.

Work was always done well and the areas were left clean. Scheduling was easy to accommodate and always on time. We would definitely call Reed Electric for any future electrical needs.
Description of Work: Reed helped us with our whole house remodeling project starting with ground fault recepticals in the bathrooms and new ceiling light/fan fixtures. Installed new ceiling fans in all the rooms and rerouted the wiring for the fridge in the kitchen. As we were remodeling in stages, it did require three service calls to accommodate our schedule.

Reed Electric came in within a couple of days that I called. We probably will have them do the work. I thought they were very responsive and informative. It's good to have for somebody who has experience to do the old wiring because we have an old house. We are going to use them for all the electrical work.
Description of Work: They gave us a quote for putting a new circuit panel putting some new wiring in the ceiling, exhaust fans and bathroom.

Everything worked the way it should. Parker Reed, the owner, was prompt, professional and, with his helper, did the work as efficiently as I could have anticipated. Parker was very helpful in helping me choose the best LED lights to go under the cabinets. His original estimate was a bit lower than the final cost because installing the LED lights involved a bit more work than expected. I'm very satisfied with the price, the way the job was done and with the result and would recommend Reed Electric to anyone looking for an electrician.

As a homebuilder, I have used the same electrician for many years but a recent serious illness forced me to look to someone new for this remodeling. I had several companies look at the job and all were in the same price range. The difference with Parker Reed and his crew was their attitude. While others whined about how difficult the job was and how they were almost doing me a favor, Parker had a great attitude and was eager to get started. Their whole crew was professional and solved several difficult problems with my old house. They also managed to do very little damage to the plaster walls while installing new plugs, outlets and fixtures. That's a minor miracle in itself! Regardless of the size of your job, you can't go wrong with these guys. They know their stuff and they're good folks on top of that. That's a rare combination today!
Description of Work: This was a complete house rewiring for a 1920's house. The house had several repairs and additions to the system over the years which made the job even more difficult.

It was a very difficult job, having been done while temperatures were in the 90s and above here in Arkansas. Parker Reed and his crew, including his father, worked very hard over a period of several weeks to get all of the old wiring out and the new circuits in. This involved having to work under the house in the limited crawl space as well as up in the attic. They also installed a number of additional outlets, put in a fire alarm system and replaced several lighting fixtures and a ceiling fan. Parker made a real mess, but cleaned it up for us before he finished the job! He also had some damage to a wall repaired by a carpenter. All of the work was reviewed by the local electrical inspector and was found to be satisfactory.

Mr. Reed was pleasant and helpful, going above and beyond just the tasks needed. He was also quite knowledgeable when asked for advice on other electrical issues. He was luckily also very pet-tolerant, as there were a couple of very friendly dogs wanting to help him with his work.

This project took two days due to the dead outlet in the kitchen. But the job hours equaled about 8 hours.
Description of Work: Mr. Reed replaced a kitchen ceilling light and a workshop ceiling light. He installed a new electrical outlet out side the garage. He searched a dead outlet in the kitchen and finally found it was never connected. He resolved the issue by rewiring the outlet. He was polite, persistant and a problem solver.

We lost the neutral wire to our house in an afternoon storm, and when that happens instead of a nice balanced 120v circuit, you have an unbalanced 240v - or even spikes to 280v. We didn't know that at the time, just that some rooms of the house had dim lights and that at least one appliance was fried -- TV was hissing and smoking. We unplugged as much as we could and then turned the main breaker to the house off. After the electric company had restored the outage to our neighborhood, we flipped the breaker back on and started slowing turning things on and plugging a few things in. When plugging in the washer in the laundry room caused the kitchen lights to surge to 3x their normal brightness, we flipped the main breaker back off. Having no idea what was wrong but knowing that something really bad was happening, we called the first nearby electrician that got good reviews on Angie's List -- Parker Reed of Reed Electric. He diagnosed the problem immediately as a lost neutral and told us to call the electric company because they needed to replace it. The electric company came back out and replaced our neutral line, and while that was happening Parker called us back to check on us. This really impressed us. And so the next day he is who we called to inspect our house. We wanted to make sure everything was okay with the wiring and electrical service. He arrived in a timely manner, thoroughly inspected the electrical, and explained to us what had happened. We will definitely use Reed Electric again and recommend them.

From start to finish, the experience and work product was good.
Description of Work: Parker Reed fixed two electrical problems: an electrical outlet had shorted, causing other outlets on the circuit to malfunction and an exterior motion sensor light was mis-wired. Parker arrived on-time and completed the work professionally and expediently. I'd use again.

Parker Reed is who you want for an electrican if you need electrical work done. He stayed for six hours working on my house getting all the wiring corrected from what the prior electrican had done. Now my three way switches work correctly, which I have four sets of, and I really felt bad since he had to get into my attic three times to run new wire since he decided not to trust what the prior electrican had done after just looking in the switch boxes. He had only quoted me for the breaker box & to fix the problem with the kitchen wall being on a switch but he did not charge me anything extra for all the work he did to correct the mess that was my electrical problems. He was very knowledable and competent with his work. I highly recommend him!
Description of Work: Mr. Parker Reed replaced all the breakers in my main breaker box. My home was built in 1969 & I wanted the breaker changed out since they looked old. Mr. Reed then had to retrace nine switches that the prior electrician worked on since none of them worked correctly. I had renovated the kitchen & the 1st electrician had installed two outlets in the kitchen, but we could not figure out why that wall with the stove & refrigerator would not work no matter which breaker we turned off & on. The 1st electrician had put that wall to a switch used for the liviing room lights. Mr. Reed stayed for hours tracing wires & making sure that all the switches were correct & that my applicances were no longer controlled by a switch on the wall.
