The service worker was professional and knowledgable, cleared out drain that was backed up and causing water to gather in the garage. Also did maintenance and cleaned outside unit. Worked quickly and efficiently.

The old compressor died the evening of the 6th. Bob and Ed's came out the next day and examined the situation. We discussed what I wanted to do, and they changed out to a new unit the next day. The technician was professional, courteous and glad to answer all my questions. Since we had used them in the past for maintenance and repairs, I already knew they were skilled and honest. The young man did good work and even cleaned up after the work was done. The new unit (a Rheem) has worked wonderfully!

Slow to complete the work. Since installation occurred, we have had nothing but problems. The air conditioning system stops working all of time for a different reason every time. It has been a little over 12 months since install, and we are now up to the 5th service call because the air conditioning system won't work.

while getting my house ready for sale, I needed to have a couple repairs done to our HVAC system. They went to the house and evaluated the work to be performed and worked with me via phone to get approvals and schedule the work. The work was performed on time and as specified.

They gave us an estimate on the problem. They let us pay it out 90 days same as cash. It fixed the problem with the air flow from one side of the house to the other. I will be calling them again if I have any other issues on another house.

I used Angie's List to find Bob & Ed's and were very pleased with their performance. They were able to get to us on the day we called and the service tech, Brian, was able to troubleshoot the problem quickly and and have our air back on that day. Their opinion was way off from what other companies were telling me. It was almost like they didn't want my business. They had to order a part and said that they would call me when it came in but they never called me again.

I have a 20x20 home office that has its own heating and cooling systems. in 2011, I refinanced my house to remove my ex from the mortgage, and ended up with more money than expected. At that time, I obtained estimates to replace the conventional heating and cooling systems. These systems were the originals installed with the house in 1977...that they both still worked was amazing, but they were very inefficient. The cost to replace both systems was incredibly high due to the amount of retrofitting required for housing code changes since the house was originally built. At that time, I held off replacing the systems. Later in 2011, I found out about mini-split heat pump systems. I obtained one estimate, but then got sidetracked by other projects. About a month ago, I decided I needed to revisit the idea of a mini-split system before Summer arrived, but realized my Angie's List subscription had expired, so I renewed it. I then contacted three contractors with high Angie's ratings. One was obscenely high, he told me he would run a couple of other estimates utilizing different systems with lower prices...I never heard back from him, so he was off the list. The next two contractors came to house, took measurements and told me they would e-mail the estimates, which they both did. Both provided estimates on units that I knew to be top of the line, but there was some difference in the size of the units, with one erring on the low end, and the other using adjustments for the type and size of the conventional system, the location of the room (west side...i.e., afternoon sun in the South causes it to get toasty) and how I planned to use the system. This latter contractor was Bob & Ed's Heating and Air Conditioning. When I mentioned I had used Angie's List to find a contractor, they told me that they had a $200.00 coupon they could apply, which lowered the overall estimate about $300.00 below the other contractor who had wanted to install a unit 50% smaller (not much difference in SEER values between the units). The installation crew arrived when scheduled, were there the minimum amount of time that I had been told to expect (4 hours), and did an excellent job. I had some further questions about the overall operation of the system (having never used this type before), and they sent another seasoned technician the next day to help me out on understanding the operation (without any charge). Bob & Ed's were prompt, friendly, they listened to what I was looking for, and they went out of their way to lower the cost of the repair. My annual Angie's List renewal (with a 50% coupon code) was $15...that $15 saved me $200.00 off the price of this job alone. I'm extremely pleased with Bod & Ed's...and, Angie's List too! Finally, I can't say enough about the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim heat pump system...it's not only cooling my office very efficiently, but it's also filtering the air (helps with my allergies).

took them about 5 hours to retro fit the new system and they were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. so far the heating system is very quiet and appears to be efficient...

We’ve been pleased with them. Their price is a little higher but they’re dependable and they do good work. They’re very professional and polite. They put on the little booties so they don’t track on your floors and they clean up after themselves. They know what they’re doing. If there’s a question they’ll call immediately. If they need to replace something they have someone else come out and double-check that that’s correct.

They are prompt and thorough. They are always on time and they always do a good job. I can call them anytime day or night. I need to call them now to come out.

From the time they came out to size and quote the new unit, things went as planned and discussed. The crew arrived when they said they would. A third person arrived during the afternoon to make sure they were done in 1 day, including clean up. They do thier own ductwork and build it as they need it. The boys were willing to answer questions as the work progressed. They addressed all of the concerns that came up during the quote, and proved that they had been addressed.

They were on time and they were quick and the price was reasonable and the guy showed me everything he was doing.

They are very large and they have multiple locations. They come out when I have a problem. I had a problem because of an ice and snow storm last winter and something went out. I didn’t like the idea of putting in a single unit because the furnace is so much more efficient if you buy the furnace separately. So, I had a two-unit central unit put in. I had an air conditioner and they put the furnace under the house. They hooked them together. They made my central heating and AC unit more expensive, but it’s less expensive in the long run because you never have to replace the furnace. If anything goes out, it has to be the air conditioning unit. Something had clogged like the exhaust and the heat went out in the middle of an ice storm and I called them. Then they were here within 10 minutes. They are amazing and they do fabulous work. Their prices are fabulous. I had 20 bids on this because I knew it was going to die. It was a 20-year-old unit and looked like a small warehouse sitting in the backyard. I had never used them before. I have nothing but good things to say about them. When I had the issue during the ice storm, they could have left me without heat for days and I would have thought it was normal. However, they were already out working for other people and they said that they were almost finished over there. They said they would be here before I knew and they were. The price for the last service wasn’t much and was about $150. They are top of the line. They have a great price. They are friendly and I would certainly use them again.

I called them and they set up a date. they came out as promised and performed the work.

They are very quick and kept up with the appointment time. I am real happy with them. They are competent and their prices are good. In terms of responsiveness, it is a busy season, but once you get them on the line they come when they say they are going to come. In terms of punctuality, they are right there. I am going to use their services again in the future.

We also used them in one of our rental properties. We were using another company and we kept having problems with our air conditioning unit. They kept saying they couldn't find what the problem was. We kept paying for the service calls and not getting anything fixed so we finally called another company which was Bob & Ed. They came out and found what the problem was. We had a contract with that other company to come regularly but we just cancelled it.

Service date was delayed due to peak of season. Service person arrived sooner than expected. I was not at home but a family member was at home. Service person was very professional, worked quickly and let family member know when he was finished and leaving.

The service man arrived early; He cleaned and serviced the outdoor AC unit, checked the indoor return air vent filter and checked the unit in the attic. He explained what he had done doing the servicing. He was friendly yet professional.

Awesome job! My HVAC system was very old and falling apart -- I called Bob and Ed's and they gave me a very good estimate...they also use Rheem products which is highly rated by Consumer Reports. They came out on a cold Tuesday morning and installed the new system. They are very friendly, answered all my questions and kept everything clean. It was a stress free experience and the new system is quiet and keeps my little house very comfortable! I will definitely call Bob and Ed's for any future needs.

very well. pleased that they did not try to sell a complete new system. they replaced only the unit that was broken, getting a model that was compatible with existing system. a month later, the compressor locked up. they were out that day and replaced the unit within one day. no problems since. very happy with bob and eds.
