I interviewed 3 companies n got 3 estimates lowest being 4000 and this comp was highest. I went w this comp because of the name n they promised me a Lifetime warranty on unit. I called owner n clarified definition of lifetime n he said as long as I lived in house unit was covered completely. Installation was completed in a day without an air leak check ever being done on my ducts in attic which was one of my big concerns and I was left with a hole in my wall they did not have a vent cover that would fit the new air intake .....it wasn't a standard size. It was late n the installation guy n his partner lft n the AC did not work all night. I called called no one answered the phone that night or at all until around 4 on Friday when the installation guy calls me n says he is in Fayetteville it's his birthday and he would see me on Monday. Long story short the same two men came n it took them another four hours to figure out what they had done wrong n fix it. Since that time they had to replace my thermostat twice because the one they sold me would not work w unit installed so now I have a plain jane thermostat instead of the fancy one I wanted so I could stop my kids from changing it. I called four times asking for the A/C Paperwork and the warranty n they to this day a year later have not sent any paperwork. I paid an extra 300 for a maintenance contract n he said they would come twice a year to check it n do main n I have only seen them one time.....ON NEWS SAYING THEY LOST THEIR LICENSE. I feel really stupid cuz went to attic to put a Xmas snowman up and my son noticed that two of my ducts had holes in them n he said looks like I need to get someone up there to reseal the ducts cuz spiderwebs were blowing .....they never chked my ducts like I asked them to. I feel like a FOOL. Still waiting on PAPERWORK for warranty promised way overpaid for a crappy product n crappy service

Response from Air One
I believe this review was directed to another service provided and been listed for Airmasters in error. According to our records we have never provided service, maintenance or installation to this address. We have never at anytime had our license revoked or suspended. I would like to ask that this review be removed as an error until it can be verified that Airmasters was the actual service provider, as we currently believe we were not. Thank you.

Same as description for service NOT performed. Don't get ripped off by this sham company!
Description of Work: BEWARE of Air One, LLC & the owner Bill Counts. The owner of this corporation is a scam artist. Last February two other families and I purchased whole home Generac generators from Air One. The other families put up a $3,200 deposit, & I paid the full price of approximately $6,200.00. After several months and multiple calls to Air One, we were told the generators were on back order. Several dates of expected delivery were given to us, but each date passed without the generators delivered. I then contacted the Generac home office only to find that (1) Air One is not one of their dealers, & (2) Generac had never received a purchase order from Air One. Multiple calls to the owner, always go directly into his voicemail and are unanswered. When the Air One office is called the secretary's response is always, "He's not in now." when asked when Mr. Counts will be in she says she doesn't know. A gentleman at this office, who initially identified himself as the co-owner has repeatedly said he will repay the three of us, but has failed to do so. His name is Howard Gene Hickman, and a Google search reveals that in 12/2011 he was arrested on 23 felony counts of theft for not delivering small wooden buildings after these folks had paid him. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM COMPANY. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE WE DID!

I used Air One because my home warranty company required me to use them. They had some problems routing the new air ducts, so to make a path for the ducting, they carved out a portion of one of the concrete beams in the basement supporting the upper floor. They told me I'd get a rebate from the manufacturer of several hundred dollars. The rebate never showed up as they kept promising, though I called them regularly every couple of months to ask about it. About a year and a half later, after several attempts to get the rebate from Air One, I called the manufacturer directly, and they told me they had already sent the rebate to Air One THE PREVIOUS YEAR. I called Air One and they were quite rude about it. I drove to their office to pick up a check that day. They also they sent me several invoices for a repair visit they did not do. I told them it was not a valid charge, but they kept sending me invoices over the period of more than a year. I was furious, and called the Attorney General's office to register a complaint. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid Air One at all costs.

I did not like one thing about Air One. Our central heat would not turn on. The best I could tell it needed a new igniter. I was at the air base when he came out, but my wife was home. On line, I found prices of the igniter to be anywhere from $20 to $48. He charged me $189 just for the part, and an additional $85 service charge. I had some words with the office manager, Christine, and she threaten to sue me. I plan to contact the Attorney General's office, the Consumer Protection Agency, and the Better Business Bureau, because he overcharged me for the part. He did a good job repairing the furnace, but I was not happy with the charges. Hell No! I will never use him again.
Description of Work: I used Air One last February. He replaced an igniter on my furnace.

See above. I am not alleging fraud, but there is a complete lack of professional responsibility with this company. We had heard things from the people who regularly service our heating and air unit, but didn't really believe it. Now we do.
Description of Work: About four years ago our heat went out in the middle of winter. The 18+ year-old unit was condemned, for good reason. AirOne was one of the companies approved for use by our home warranty folks. They installed a new unit about two days later. All of that was fine. What wasn't fine is that they never filed the proper paperwork with our warranty company, and thus we did not get the coverage we were due. AirOne would not return phone calls we placed to them, but our warranty company still refunded us the amount we shouldn't have paid. Later, AirOne started making the standard "we miss you!" phone calls, as in they wanted our business back. My husband politely explained to them why we would never use them again, and they were less than pleasant. Every few months the calls would start again, and again we would politely decline. We haven't dealt with them since, and always throw whatever mailers they send directly into the trash.

There were plenty of "starts", no "finishes".
Description of Work: So far, none. They keep putting us off telling us they are waiting for a part for our "electrostatic air cleaner". This has been going on for weeks. Supposedly they are a Trane dealer, and we have mistakenly assumed that they would stock Trane products. Not so. They can't seem to find the bulb or are too busy repairing damages from the tornadoes (if they had told us that, we would be much more understanding. They have made numerous "appointmens" and have shown up for none. Sorry to have such a negative report, but we are very frustrated. We have given them to the end of this week to make things right, or we will move on to another vender. Hope we don't have to. We would like to be able to get this over with without more ultimatums.

The inspection revealed only a minor problem that was fixed. Repair person did advise us that our system was older than predicted life cycle, but did not attempt to sell us a new system. Price was covered under service charge of our home warranty, which chose the company. We were ;very satisfied with the service we received.

The process went great and I was very pleased with the results. They were fast, on time, and courteous. I wished they would have cleaned up a bit more, but I had it taken care of in about 10 minutes. My house is cool, clean, quiet, and and much more efficient now.

Starting with my first phone contact: crisp, professional and warm. Only "B" grades because I had to call to discover a delay in the technician's arrival--there was a very good reason, but I wish they had initiated a call to alert me. They did, however, honor their commitment to be at our home on the afternoon agreed upon, even though it was late afternoon before the tech could get to us. We pay a flat $75. fee for service through our home warranty program, so I can't really assess the charges. The work was done quickly, and we have had no problem with our heat pump since the service call.
Description of Work: Air One was sent to our home by our home warranty company. We discovered moisture on our filter; they came to diagnose and fix the problem. Our technician discovered a blockage in one of the lines, flushed it. Problem solved.

We have a yearly contract with this company. They came out twice a year and they gave us a report on everything they did. They were always respectful. I would recommend this company to others.
Description of Work: They checked the freon and cleaned the filters on my heating and air conditioning unit.
