Description of Work: Paid him for materials to install a septic system. He continued to move the date that he would begin the job. He never showed up and eventually stopped answering his phone and would not return my calls. It took me two months of harassing him via voicemail before he did finally give my money back.

Description of Work: I had water backing up in my shower in one room and tub in other room, from the wash machine. My pipes were clogged I had been use draino but wasn't working. I called on Monday the 22rd. around 8:00am. Steve returned my caIl around 10:00am saying he could get out to my place on the 24th. I should of knowen then I need to find someone else. So I waited. I tryed to call Steve to find out what time he was coming out. That was at 12.49pm. on the 24th. Since he wasn't here in the morning as I thought that what he told me. He never returned my call back. He called my daughter to tell her that he would try to come out tomorrow. Why he didn't call me, I don't know. My daughter don't live at my place. When I hear this I try again to call to let him know I didn't want him to come tomorrow. That I already had plans set. After leaving my message on his phone, Steve then texts my daughter saing he was coming out at 8:00 but I don't know if that was 8:00 tonight or 8:00 in the moring. I told her to tell him don't come at all. Steve McMellon is very unprofessional. He needed to talk with me. Not to my daughter. I miss out on going to a funnel becuase I waited on him to come fix my pipes.

+ 0 moreThe septic tank installation went smooth and I was pleased; however, he did not return for several weeks to reroute the sink. When he did return and inspected the sink, he told me that he would have to go through the floor and subfloor to reroute it. As a result, I decided not to have this done. He then said he would be back later that week to refund the money I paid in advance to have him do this. He never returned. I was very patient about contacting him for the refund as he indicated he would soon be having surgery. I was so patient I waited a year. This past September 20, 2010, I finally contacted him re: my refund. He said he would be out that week to pay me yet by Friday, 9/ 24/10, he did not show so I contacted him again. He then said he would be out Saturday morning, but I still have not heard from him. Do not hire this man unless he understands that he will not get paid until completion of the job or any work related to it.
Description of Work: Provider is a general contractor I originally hired to install a septic tank. After installation of this, upon discovering my kitchen sink emptied into the septic tank, I ask if he would reroute it. He said he would and included the price for it in the overall bill for the septic tank installation, although the bill was broken down into job, labor, material, etc, so I knew I was paying in advance to have the kitchen reroute done.
