About us

E. S. General Contracting was started in January 2012. Owned by Dustin Higby and Joe Chapman, Dustin moved away though he is still a co-owner. The E.S. stands for Eagle Scout because we are both Eagle Scouts. Generally it's just me, Joe, doing the work, however if the job is large enough I subcontract with Stroud construction. Billing is determined by the job, I base most estimates off of $20/hr per person working plus material. Roofing is quoted by the square (10 ft by 10ft area). Free estimates within Polk County

We perform all manner of construction, from remodels to additions and new construction. Vinyl, wood, or metal siding, window installation, flooring, tile, framing, drywall, painting, trim and finishing work, both metal and asphalt roofing, decks, landscaping, shops, garages and carports, and many other repairs, major or minor. E.S. is licensed for jobs up to 20K labor and material, however, if your project is large and can be broken up into multiple jobs then we are legally allowed to do that. We are not licensed to do electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, or chimney work.
