The washer just quit working without any warning. I called Fix It Quick after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. Sandra got the details of the problem. She gave me a next day appointment but also put me on a "will call" list since a working washing machine is essential. I am the 24/7 caregiver of a woman who is bed bound which means lots of laundry and the inability to leave the house to take laundry to a laundromat. Gary was able to fit me in around 2-1/2 hours after I called. He quickly fixed the problem. We are so relieved! He is friendly and professional, and his rates are very reasonable. Fix It Quick lives up to its name and I'll certainly use them again in the future.

My electric range developed a short, tripping a breaker. They were able to come out the next day. The oven element had been burned out for a while and I hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet so I asked if they could fix it also. He stopped and picked one up and was able to fix that also. He quickly found a short in the power cable and had it fixed in no time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them in the future.

I've known Gary for about 15 years and he has done home warranty work for me as well as the usual handyman jobs, like install a garbage disposal, ceiling fans, electrical outlets, appliance repair. I have always found him to be friendly, professional and fast! When paying by the hour, getting a job done quickly is a wonderful benefit to someone trying to get ready to retire eventually. I highly recommend Gary and Fix It Quick services. As it turned out the power line to the house on the outside had burned through and it was actually an Entergy problem and not mine, so the home warranty did not apply. Gary advised me to contact Entergy and they came out and took care of it. I value his advise and opinion a lot.

I've known Gary for about 15 years. As usual he was prompt, professional and fair. This is the 3rd house on which he has performed "handyman" or warranty services for me and I have always been very pleased by his work. He's fast, friendly, doesn't waste your time or you money. He's installed ceiling fans, fixed appliances, other electric and plumbing issues and I highly recommend him and his services.

Gary took care of everything. He had to make two visits because we did not have the right parts. Gary was very gracious and used one of his parts, until we could receive the right part. We highly recommend Gary. He is very easy to work with and knows his craft.

Gary came out to look at our washer. It was leaving spots on some of our clothes. He took it apart and inspected it. He determined that it would be to costly to attempt to repair it. He didn't charge me for the visit. I will gladly call him in the future.

Everything was done so easily. He came out, saw the problem, ordered the part then came back to install it. It was done in less than an hour, perfect!

Called on Weds 10/23 and set up an appointment for Friday 10/25. He didn't show up or call. I tried reaching him but only received an answering machine. Not good!

I called Fix it Quick and was able to get an appointment within 3 days of my call. The gentlemen came out and was on time. He was professional, well kempt, and respectful of my home and my appliances while he fixed them. He began by asking me why I thought my dryer needed repairing, and then removed the cover to confirm that the belt had slipped. He then managed to take apart my dryer into several pieces to replace the slipped belt. It took him roughly 30 minutes to complete, and he even had the part in his truck. His price for parts plus labor was much, much cheaper than I was quoted from other competitors.

Called FIQ on Monday, 9/30/13, to ask if someone could come out for a dryer repair estimate. The apptmt was scheduled for Wednesday, 10/02/13. Per the apptment date, the repairman called at approximately 8:30 am stating that he was on his way. While we were on the phone, he asked a few questions to help him determine the problem. He pinpointed the cause right away: the rear bearing and heating element. It would take getting the parts, coming back, and installing them either the same day or the next. I drove to the house the following day,10/03/13, to find the dryer fixed and the bill setting on top of it. I dread appliance repairs because one wants a quality service at a good price. Great experience with Fix-it-Quick, which I believe is a one-man operation, consisting of one gentleman (forget the name, unfortunately), and which has been in business for many years. Our front loader super duper 3 year old Samsung dryer from Sears went clunk and made a loud noise and stopped. I found Fix It Quick here at Angie's and he was here promptly when promised. He was not at all intimidated--and took off the required areas of the monster dryer and saw immediately what the problem was. The belt that goes around the drum had shredded in one place and that piece had wrapped around the motor, thus bringing it to a quick stop. He got that out of the motor. He crossed his fingers that (a) he would have a belt in the van, and (b) it would kick off and nothing else would be a problem. He did have a Whirlpool belt which he thought might work, and it did. He replaced the belt, and voila, all fixed. I happened to mention that my built-in microwave was on the blink and where could we buy another good one. He said what happened, let me look. Believe it or not, he easily saw the problem, changed a fuse, and it works now. You have to hold your mouth right, because a relative who's an electronics whiz took out a switch thing that was bad, and it's now gone. We know what not to do, though, to keep 'er going. No charge.

HE IS A VERY PERSONABLE FELLOW THAT YOU CAN TELL FROM THE GET GO KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. HE TOOK CARE OF ALL MY PROBLEMS QUICKLY AND THATS WITH ME BOTHERING HIM BY TALKING TO HIM WHILE HE WORKED LOL !! HE IS MY NEW GO TO GUY IN THE FUTURE I WOULDNT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND HIM TO MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS IN THE FUTURE !

Great - from call in to finish. I have had Mr. Ragsdale out before, and am sure I will again. If all my repair folks were so good, life would be easy.

Was able to quickly diagnose problem with burner, ordered part, gave quote in writing. Returned to install part. Charge was as quoted. The problem with the ice maker/water dispenser was not as expected although he make appropriate effort to diagnose problem. Advised me to contact maker and did not charge me for this service. Contacted me when part did not arrive as expected. I would use him again for small electrical repairs.
