Description of Work: They installed a new furnace, we bought a service plan for this one and our other unit. We had to keep calling for our Service when it was time per the plan contract. They came out and tried to say we only bought one plan, and not the Gold plan that we bought , but the Basic plan, and all kind of B.S. Tried to welch out of everything. Once all that was cleared up, they found issues and had to have one of their men come out, of course, and they were not covered by "the Plan" and we going to cost over $10,000 more. We already gave them over $15k. After we fired them and almost had to call the Police just to get the man off the property, they kept calling trying to get us to buy it. We called another company who said no, that wasn't necessary. Plus, the unit that Bud's sold us we could have gotten from them, installed, etc., for under $3,000!!!!! We were FLOORED!!!! H*** NO we would not do business with them again and we would NOT recommend them to !!

I regret that you have a low opinion about our company and that actual facts were not used in this review. I checked the accounts receivable and you have paid our company $6000 less than stated in this review. The Gold plan was purchased by you for the upstairs system. You did not purchase a Basic 1 year plan because it was free to you with the purchase of the new furnace and it covered the downstairs system. We install over 600 new systems each year, so I don’t see us being a nuisance worthy of police presence in the middle of July, our busiest time of the year.

Description of Work: We needed a new AC and heat pump. They came out and they showed us what they had to offer. We talked about the different units, cost and warranty. They came out the very next day to put in the unit. We have had no problems with the unit in the last 10 years with it. We got a service plan with them and they have been out every 6 months to service the unit. I have heard bad reports from a few people but after talking to them, they bought the cheapest units and expect the performance of the best unit. We have had NO problems, the guys gave been great and if I have to buy another unit it will be from Bud Anderson Heat and Air. |

We did send a technician to your home in 2009 and he did not perform to our standards. We refunded your money and that employee is no longer with the company. I apologize that you had to experience this. I believe we now have highly skilled and professional technicians who take pride in their work.

Description of Work: I had a contract for monthly service over a period of many years, and had a different service-man almost every month. They all had a check-list of chores and most had nothing to say to me. But while it was under contract, it quit working, and I was told there was nothing more they could do because the unit needed proper wiring and a higher amp circuit breaker, and that the condenser was overworked. I hired an electrician to remove the inadequate wiring and to install the heavy duty wires and higher amp circuit breaker. Prior to that, if I tried to use the emergency heat, the circuit breaker on the unit itself, not in the breaker box, would flip to off. I had lived here about 10 years, and had Bud Anderson servicing the unit about 4 years. So when I finally found out the unit had been improperly installed, it was within months of failing altogether. I believe each service man who worked on it knew, or should have had the training to know what size wiring and circuit breaker it needed, and that they had a responsibility to tell me. Plus, when I cancelled the service, they kept charging my bank account with the monthly fee, which was twenty some dollars per month. This is probably the third time I have given you this information.

I would like to start by apologizing for your experience back in 2012. Although we did not install this system we did have a technician do preventative maintenance in 2005 and a different technician did a preventative maintenance in 2008 prior to the breakdown that occurred in 2008. Both of those technicians should have informed you about the electric not being enough. It is for that reason that all our technicians now receive up to 100 hours each year of technical training, customer service and communication skills. We have become a better company by listening to what our customers have to say.

Description of Work: Air was going out. Replaced heating and air which was over 15 years old. I called them because I knew someone that was a service tech, that I thought I could trust. He pushed me to the sales person and I have never heard from him to this day. Have talked to numerous people in the business since and when I say Bud Anderson the first thing they do is laugh and say bet you over paid. Don't get me wrong, I like my unit and it has lowered my electric bill but I never buy anything anymore because I know someone from the company and think they are going to have my back.

Description of Work: The special to check out my heat & A/C was great. The guys were knowledgeable & did a good job checking everything out. The problem came with the thousands of dollars of repairs that they wanted to do. I called another service provider who fixed it for a few hundred dollars. I am not certain about the date of service.

I just reviewed the technicians notes and the option sheet that he left for you. The first option is what would be required for your system to operate and was listed as a few hundred dollars (similar I guess to what you paid another company to repair the unit). The second option given was a little over $1000 to do the required repair, and some optional (not required to operate, but recommended) work on both systems. The third option which was a little over $2000 included the required repair, the optional work on the two systems, and an option for a full duct cleaning. The key word here is options. Our technicians will quote you for what it will take to get your system up and running today, and then they will quote you on what will keep that system up and running into the future.
