Description of Work: I had a regular service to keep my air and heat in good working order. For several years, the Service Men failed to tell me of the true condition of my equipment, which was that it was inadequately wired and improperly installed. Apparently it was new at the time I purchased the house but it seems that the new equipment was just shoved in place of the old without addressing the issues of the need of heavier, stronger wiring, different amperage in the breaker box, and it was hooked up to an old condenser. I don't know who did that work, and I am not suggesting Bud Anderson did the installation, but I am saying that many of their service men looked at my equipment, and either saw or should have seen and recognized the problems, but time went on and on before someone finally told me. It was like the doctor who won't tell you of a terminal condition to spare your feelings. But I am the tell me everything so I can do something positive about it type of person, so I blame Bud Anderson for the total loss of my heat and air. By the time I found out, I hired an electrician, and that cost me twice what I expected, and then the condenser rusted out internally and couldn't be fixed. On the up side, it was one of their maintenance men who finally told me the real condition, and he wasn't my regular man. All their maintenance men looked really spiffy and professional, but apparently not all of them were professionally trained.

I feel sad that you had to go through this. I wished we had installed the system 19 years ago but it was not us. When we first saw your system it had already been running with those issues and dirty for 8 or more years. We tuned up your system once in 2005 and once in 2008. In 2008 it was pointed out how dirty the coil and blower was and no action was taken. On our 3rd visit because of no heat our technician discovered this: FOUND DIRTY COILS AND BLOWER. FOUND 2 OF 3 HEAT STRIPS DISABLED. INCORRECT POWER SUPPLY TO AIRHANDLER. HAS TWO #10 4 CONDUCTOR WIRES DOUBLED UP WITH 2 S0 AMP BREAKERS IN PANEL TEMP RISE IN 32 DEGREES AT THIS TIME. TESTED DEFROST CYCLE. And recommended a electrician make the repairs which you did. I only want to point out that we did not let this go on for years and numerous techs as stated. I truly feel bad that some heat and air company or person installed your unit so badly. But our technicians receive over 100 hours of training each year no matter how long they have been here. They are the most technologically advanced technicians in the area.

When comparing estimates we suggest you get estimates with specific information about the equipment, warranties, line set replacement, electrical disconnect replacement, ect, and the scope of work to be done. Make sure the company is properly insured, licensed, bonded and applies for the proper mechanical permit. Unless a person is just looking for the lowest price.

Description of Work: The guy they sent to check out a problem on my fairly new unit was horrible. He also said that they have been aware of the problem and just keep replacing a part that isn't working with the unit. No one has ever told me this! What do I do when the warrant runs out?

Description of Work: We have an older model forced air unit. The initial response when seeing the unit was 'we can't fix this, you'll need to replace it.' To their credit, the tech went on line and found the parts necessary to repair the unit. However, as he was assessing the unit, he decided to, in his words, go beyond what was asked for and after removing the squirrel cage blower raked a screw driver across the plenum which was, in my view, an attempt to damage the unit. He could not give me a good answer when asked why he did that. Finding nothing wrong, he put it back together and made repairs to the original problem within a couple of weeks. His basic attitude was this unit is beyond repair and if possible I will speed up its demise. I was not impressed with his demeanor or professionalism. He may not represent the company but he was my only point of contact.

We accept full responsibility that one of our technicians misdiagnosed the problem with your system and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it caused you December 2013 and January 2014. After reviewing the records I see that our Service Manager went and correctly diagnosed the problem and immediately refunded $800 of the $900 you gave us and only charged you for the correct repair and also gave you the new gas valve for the 30 year old system. We have highly skilled technicians, yet on rare occasions there will be a misdiagnosis. That is why we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and stand behind our work. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced.

Description of Work: Replaced a capacitor. Tried to sell me a service. The plus is that out of all the calls I made that morning, they were the only ones who responded. The year was not 2012, it was 2007. I was advised by neighbors that they were too expensive, but the heat factor is why I went ahead and had him install the capacitor. If my husband had been home he could have installed it himself for about $30.

Description of Work: I needed a complete heat/AC unit. All completed in timely fashion by courteous people. When I sold the house and moved into apartment they happily helped me transfer the warranty to new owners. Their service is worth any additional cost they may have charged!

Description of Work: Air conditioner stopped cooling. They replaced one part and the unit still wasn't preforming correctly, so they returned and identified an additional problem which they fixed. Though there were a couple of issues along the way, they listened and really worked with me to get any problems identified and fixed. It meant a lot to me and now the Air Conditioner is working well.
