They were professionals. They had a full cover pricing manual, so I knew what the price would be right upfront. Their price was fair. The quality of their work was excellent.

Thank you Member for taking the time to let everyone know about our Company. I think most people like the straight forward pricing guide. I know myself as a consumer that terrible feeling when a contractor quotes you a price then hands you an invoice which was not the price you agreed upon. Thanks for choosing us!

Our Technicians educate every customer about energy savings, Indoor Air Quality products & Services, ect. Most customers appreciate this extra time the Tech takes to inform them on how to save money or improve the air quality in their home, but a few may feel like they are “selling un-necessary services”. Many customers who suffer with respiratory or allergy symptoms are un-aware that they can have their whole house air filtered and cleaned. Our Technicians don’t just make a repair, grab the money and run. They go above and beyond by informing and educating customers on new products and technology. We feel good about that!

He did a great job. It was going to be $750, but it cost me $650 with the vent and I signed up with a plan. He could have been a little cheaper. May be these coils are suppose to be real expensive, but price wise it was crappy.

I have had nothing but excellent service with them. The guys came out and they were super professional and polite and courteous and they have been Johnnie on the spot when I didn't understand this computerized system because I went from an old system to a computerized system. Every time I get jammed up on it, I just hit the button and call the number and they respond as quick as can be. I have had nothing but good service. I had used them for years and I have had good luck with them. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

When they installed it they couldn't get the pilot light to come on. They said they would be back, but they never came back. They had to keep coming back four times to fix it...I thought it was defective and requested a new unit. They said no. My gas bill has also gone up since I bought the unit, which doesn't make sense because it's supposed to be energy efficient. I repeated my demand for a new furnace. My old furnace was 19 years old and it was costing me less than the new one. They have refused to resolve my problem.

On 8/1/11 we installed a new system for this client. On 8/15/11 there was no heat. We ordered a replacement board which we received 8/16/11. We left 2 messages on 8/16/11, left msg 8/17/2011, left msg 8/18/2011, left msg & mailed post card 8/22/2011, left msg 8/23/2011, left msg 8/24/2011, left msg & sent 2nd PC 8/25/11, left msg 8/29/11, left msg 9/2/11, left msg & sent 3rd & final PC 9/7/11. Replaced warranty gas valve and tested furnace operation on 9/20/11. No heat because gas valve was turned off on 10/19/11. discovered 2 stage was turned off on furnace and turned back on 2/13/12. On a 2 stage system the AC side is more energy efficient and the Furnace side is more for comfort. If the client would like our Service Manager to contact her and explain the system or provide her with tips on how to make it more energy efficient we would be happy to talk with her about it.

They installed it in August and they could not get the heater and the pilot to come off. They said that they would come back and didn’t. They came back and showed a paper that said furnace was not heating because the gas tape was in the off position, turned gas tap on and the furnace is now operating properly. Then this is the third time, they had to order a piece as it would not stay lit. The piece came in, they put that in, and I said I want a new piece as I don’t want a one that was worked on 4 times and they said no. they would come right out, not that they could fix it. They said they were here at 9 and they were here.

The install was painless and clean. The real work was going through the bid process, reviewing the bids and doing the independent research in order to make sense of the bids. The equipment was not identical in specs so I had to go to independent sources like cr.com and some industry sites to understand what I was getting for the money. The warrantees likewise we're not compatible between bidders. What they all had in common is that what they covered and how long they covered it was highly influenced by ensuring regular maintence was performed on the units annually by certified technians. Pretty much if you don't have a maintence contract the warrantees have a very short life span and do not cover as much as the warranty's title states in years. Also none of the companies quoted in labor hours to better compare what I was getting. Both companies that i was considering submitted initial bids that was about 15% above what I found on industry sites based upon my best calculations with the information available. I want to point out both Paschel and Bud Anderson where very competitive in adjusting their bids down as I was working on negotiating better price from them. Ultimately, both companies prices came down to the point where they where at least 10% less than what I calculated the industry standard to be and they where significantly lower than their original bids. I firmly believe I had reached a point where the bids where fair and what I had in mind to pay. At this point I could have gone with Paschal or Bud Anderson and been happy. I ultimately choose Bud Anderson because I've had a maintenance relationship with Bud Anderson for many years and I knew what to expect from that relationship. They have taken care of our needs in a timely, professional manner and I didn't expect that to change.
Description of Work: I had two 13 year old HVAC systems in my home replaced with more efficient systems. I took bids from three companies, Paschal, Sturdivants and Bud Anderson. Sturdivants came in with a significantly lower bid than the other two companies but their estimate only included the compressor and the furnace only. They spent 20 minutes looking at the existing units before leaving. Both the other companies spent at least an hour estimating the job. Of the two, only one company, Bud Anderson actually did a load analysis of the house. What I learned with this experience is no two HVAC contractors write estimates in a way that a consumer can do an apples to apples comparison. Both contractors bid for replacing two complete HVAC units and replacing non-ridged ducts work in my attic. The bids include the higher energy efficient units (seer ratings 18), replacing the copper lines, cut-off boxes, new condensate drain and correcting an incorrectly installed exhaust vent ( original contractor screw up when the house was built).

Highly recommend that you get a second opinion before spending dollars per Bud Anderson. My Lenox systems are 3 years old and I spent over $23,000 to get the top of the line products with a 10 year warranty, the company that installed them went out of business, so much for a labor warranty. Bud Anderson purchased their telephone number, so they got my call for service. Every time they have touched my system, something goes wrong and not covered by Lenox's part warranty. I will never use them again.
Description of Work: Purchased a annual maintenance agreement with them on two of our Lenox furnances. They came to perform the winter maintenance in January. System was working fine before they came. After we have had continual problems. Now they are stating one system was installed incorrectly and to fix will be $2,500. The other system has a frigerant leak. Brought in a second opinion, they can find no leak, and the other system is installed correctly and working fine. The system with the leak does have an incorrect part, that Bud Anderson relaced last spring, so I now have to pay to install the right part.

I was told the normal hrly rate was $90/hr. At that rate and with the materials required for my job, my total should have been ~$1,300. The bill was more than $2,000, which was in-line with the quote (neither of which were itemized). By the time the job was finished I had to leave and my wife was not informed enough to dispute the bill.
Description of Work: I felt the service was over-priced but was somewhat against a wall. When they called back to quote a follow-up that would take 2 minutes and included an hr of $90 labor it confirmed my suspicion. Service was good for a reasonable price, poor for what I had to pay. Will not use them again, they charge too much for what you get.
